My family (husband & sons aged 17 & 19) and I spent a fabulous few hours with Tommi last week touring the hidden gems of Amsterdam. We specified our interests as unique aspects of history, architecture & culture and were not disappointed. Highly recommend as an efficient and enjoyable way to gain an alternate view of the city, beyond the usual tourist sites. We covered a lot of ground walking and via train/ tram, and ventured to parts of the city we would otherwise not thought to have seen. My sons and husband - a relatively tough crowd - were thoroughly engrossed and we all came away having learned something new and interesting. Tommi is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about his city, which made our tour extremely worthwhile. Highly recommend!

I had a tour from Saigon to Mekongdelta with Thien. An extraordinary experience because of the local experience, great food, lovely people and most of all because of the amazing Thien as a tourguide. Please, do yourself a favour, pay a little more and book this tour instead of the cheaper touristy tour to Mekongdelta. Thien helps to avoid crowds and wasn’t shy to share her knowledge.

We had the pleasure of going on a five hour tour of Lima with Carlos and it was excellent. His knowledge of the buildings we visited and the history of Lima and Peru more broadly made it so enjoyable. We also particularly enjoyed the many anecdotes that he shared us at each of the locations. We would highly recommend Carlos.

The company is a nightmare to deal with.

Once they have your contact information they will repeatedly harass you for feedback on their services. They have asked my five times for a review of a tour I did not attend. I have asked them to stop but they continue to email me and text me.

I have received numerous other emails in addition to their harassment for me to leave a review.

This tour met and exceeded all our expectations. Ines is a great guide, well educated, strong personality and open to discuss any topic. We discovered indeed a lot of well know places but also some beautiful hidden gems that you would easily overlook when using any tourist book. We learned a lot about the history of Buenos Aires and Argentina, the daily living of people and the challenges they face. Definitely appreciated our open discussions about politics, health care, education and economics, and comparing Belgium with Argentina. She even thought about some small details: e.g. leading us to some shadow places (it was 32 degrees) before explaining anything. When visiting Buenos Aires ask for a tour with Ines, you will not be disappointed. Danny & Ann

I have been a loyal host with Withlocals since 2017, but the current treatment I am receiving is deeply disappointing and unprofessional.
Despite completing a tour on January 6th, I am still waiting for my payout. When I contacted support, I was told the payment had already been 'transferred', yet the screenshot they provided clearly shows the status as 'QUEUED' with no transfer date. Claiming a payment has been made when it is clearly stuck in their internal system is misleading.
I have already personally covered travel and extra expenses for the guests, and waiting 20 days for a reimbursement is unacceptable for a partner of 9 years. Furthermore, I have serious concerns regarding GDPR compliance, as my profile and image remain published online without a formal signed release.
I have set a deadline for January 16th.

If this is not resolved immediately, I will be forced to escalate the matter to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) and the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP). Hosts and partners, be careful!

You claim payments follow "standard terms," but I have an email from your staff (Sherif) explicitly admitting: "I acknowledge that there is a delay from our side." >
2. You claim I can manage my data via "account settings," yet you have PERMANENTLY DELETED my account and blocked my access immediately after I raised GDPR concerns, making it impossible for me to manage anything.
You say you are "available," but you removed me from all host communities to prevent me from talking to colleagues.
I have already provided all evidence to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Case cd2e-fb6c) and ECC-Net. Professionalism is shown through payments, not template replies.

Absolutely brilliant experience, Pablo was the perfect guide, he was knowledgeable, outgoing and friendly and he 'made' our visit to Buenos Aires. We appreciated how he took the time to show us many hidden gems, from Architectural highlights to the social and cultural areas of the city. We both feel he went out of his way to make the experience very special and he tailored our tour of the city encompassing everything we wanted to see and experience. Sadly, the queues to see Eva Peron's tomb were excessive, not Pablo's fault. To have someone like Pablo at your side makes experiencing a city so unique and memorable.

Atreyu was a fabulous guide. Do not hesitate to book in and learn as much as you can from him in your two hours together. We covered a lot of ground, enjoyed hearing stories and learning about Strasbourg from Atreyu. We were so pleased with his foodie recommendations and we have eaten well since our tour (sadly the eclair shop was closed!!). Thank you 🙏

My husband and I did an evening food tour with Silvia (and her partner Robert). It was amazing! Not only did we sample an incredible amount of food (both carts and sit down) we learned so much about the local food scene. Silvia and Robert really made the experience fun. This was my first time booking with Withlocals and it definitely won't be the last. Every detail was easy. I don't want to give away everything we ate (and it was a lot!) but it included foods we never even knew existed or would have found. For example, delicious frozen juice pops that we had to knock on a door to order and local soda/beer. We also had endless fruits, delicious ceviche and just about every local delicacy you could think of trying. We left very full and happy. The pace was perfect, giving us plenty of time to enjoy each stop. This tour is a must for food lovers, and anyone wanting a peek into Cartagena's authentic food scene.

AWESOME customer service. I worked for a company that had a motto that said "Show me a customer with issues and I will show you my best customer." Well, my wife and I just completed a cruise (From NCL - Another review that show's what poor customer is) where NCL canceled ALL ports in Australia. This impacted our ability to have a tour with Withlocals. We were inside the timeline of a refund of any kind. However after working with the team at Withlocals. They agreed to refund half of our costs. By contract they did not need to refund any money. Withlocals did the right thing by a customer that had an issue that was not their, Withlocals, issue. My wife and I will use Withlocals next time we need a private tour! Outstanding.

Had the pleasure of booking a private one day tour with Tuyen (pronounced Twin) to Halong bay. Right from the start I knew it was going to be a great trip. Twin contacted me before the trip to ask us what we were interested in doing on the tour. He gave us some options and then offered advice after we discussed our desires. It was truly a unique trip exactly what we wanted and hoped for. Twin picked us up at our hotel in a new SUV that was big and comfortable for the ride to Halong. Twin told us about Vietnam and its history during the ride to Halong. The time flew by. When we arrived he escorted to our private boat for the day. We departed seconds after boarding. Lunch was amazing both the vegetarian option for my wife and the Vietnamese food for me. And, of course, the bay was beautiful, worth the drive over from Hanoi. I can’t think of a better way to see the bay. Highly recommend Tuyen

Ines greeted us with a smile and a hug. From the first few minutes, we knew that this was going to be a great morning spent. Her knowledge and welcoming persona were captivating. We learnt so much during the 3-hour tour and saw some amazing places that we would never have found. It was so interesting and engaging that we still remember most of the facts still!!! I would highly recommend her, not only for newcomers to Lisbon but anyone who has been before, will learn something new AAA+++

Hiroyuki our guide for the day is so hospitable and knowledgeable about everything.
If you really want to get more out of your stay, history, culture, people in Nara then Hiroyuki is the right choice.

We had family tour in both French and English with Alexia. We met here in market in Le Marais and started with incredible crepes. She was informative, well spoken, knowledgeable , and passionate about showing us the details of the area, history, and culture of Paris. It was exactly what we hoped for and more.

Rosana, who is with the company Withlocals, was one of the best guides that we've had in our travels. She's incredibly knowledgeable, personable and able to share not only the foods of Buenos Aires, but also includes the sites and history of both. I recommend this tour, no question, as you get to learn a lot about the people and culture of the place you are visiting.

We had the opportunity to join Jorge for an insider's look at Porto's culinary scene. Jorge was very friendly and welcoming!! Within moments, we felt as though we were hanging with a friend and not a guide. His perspective as a Porto native of several generations, allowed us to appreciate the history of the city and neighborhoods. We appreciated that Jorge introduced us to places that are off the beaten path as well as many of the delicacies of the region. We had a terrific walking tour of Athens today . Our host was Thomas, and he was exceptional. He brought us to places we would have never seen. We took in spectacular views as well as learned about Greek history and culture.
We have participated in numerous tours of various places, this tour is at the top for over an all experience.

We have used ‘With Locals’ on a couple of occasions now and always had the best time and great value for money!

In Siem Reap, Ngoun showed us the real sights of his city through the street food tour. It was great to taste the culture and meet so many local, talented cooks! We enjoyed the different tastes and also the knowledge that Ngoun shared about each venue and dish. Ngoun’s English was perfect and his enthusiasm for all things local shone through. The tour itself was a great way to see the city and get our bearings on our first night and we learnt so much more than just where and what to eat.

Ngoun also took us on the sunrise trip to Angkor Wat and was so knowledgeable about the history showing real passion for his country’s amazing landmarks. He gave us the right amount of time to ourselves to take in the wonder around us but also made sure to share all his expertise, which we wouldn’t have gotten without him.

Don’t hesitate to book!

Cristina was exceptional! Prior to our visit she tailored our 3 hour walking tour to items of most interest to my family. In perfect English she communicated well and easily connected with all of us. Not only did she share vast knowledge about Florence’s famous history and sites, but throughout the tour she offered additional recommendations for my family to do during the remainder of our visit; and she even followed-up later with even more recommendations. Cristina is a fantastic guide and I highly recommend her!

Omar was a fantastic guide. We used him on our first morning in Morocco and he showed us how to navigate around the souks and took us off the beaten track. He customised the route to our preference. Would definitely recommend.
