Unwanted, sales emails never requested

Repeated emails for all sorts of unwanted items, services, even an attempt at extortion. All the emails are from this company with various names of senders. Now getting tired of deleting, reporting and blocking, nothing seems to work and wouldn't even use this type of company anyway. Today's was the 8th one this week and the 5th one today.

Hi Lynn,

All emails sent by Wise are issued under either Wise or Beamin’. We would not send emails to the extent you’ve described.

Could you please confirm that you have the correct company?

Thanks,
Wise

Avoid working for Amazon and partnering with WISE!

Don’t work for Amazon if you can help it, and most definitely don’t sign up to beamin. You’re far better off doing your own self assessments and vat return if you want. The beamin boost they offer you has stipulations that they don’t personally explain in detail. I’m aware it’s outlined somewhere, but as someone who doesn’t know anything about VAT and trusted the company I was shocked to receive a letter from HMRC about a £300 missed payment when I believed beamin would be handling everything for me considering I pay £20 of my weekly income to them! When I tried to get it sorted it I was met on the phone with a rude individual who wouldn’t let me speak with a manger and offered no assurance or solutions other than to just pay it. Just a company taking a cut from your hard earned money providing you with little to no benefit in my opinion and from my experience. If you want to register for VAT, take time to study it and do it yourself would be my advice and what I’ll do moving forward.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS (IF YOU CAN!)

TERRIBLE, if not actually SHOCKING to deal with - No customer service number, No call back when stated, false information, utterly useless website, no desktop access to the service you are being forced to buy, does not respond to emails etc. - If you have a choice then I would recommend AVOIDING Wise, withwise, Beamin etc. at all cost.

Moreover, I have twice asked them their regulatory status in terms of their processing sums of money for people i.e. are they regulated by the likes of the Financial Conduct Authority. Its highly concerning that they are refusing to answer, what is a fundamental question in terms of peoples financial protections and safety.

I was forced to, engage with this company, to receive payments. I requested a callback for help with what product was best for myself. The issue being there is a £12.50 & £20.00 per week option and I did not want to pay more than I had too. After 3 weeks my payee got a hold of them and Wise (the starkly oxymoronic nature of their moniker and subsequent abilities is not lost on myself!) eventually got in touch. I was, then categorically, given wrong and/or useless information re: the ability to select a product option i.e. I only needed the cheaper option for 2 weeks to receive outstanding monies.

Basically, there is no option, you are forced to go for the most expensive option. As I have refused to be railroaded into this thus far (I grudge paying the £12.50 to get paid what I am owed, never mind £20.00) I am unable to get paid what I am owed. Fundamentally, they want me to pay £40.00 to get the £400.00 or so I'm owed. Rather cretinous really.

Thus far, the only discernible difference between this and other forms of 'robbery' is the fundamental visibility and availability of ones 'robber' it seems.

Despite (a) multiple attempts on the, exceptionally poor, Wise App, (b) over the course of many days, (c) several attempts at diagnosing the issue via their website, FAQ's, and (d) searching google, forums etc. and (e) 3 emails in just the last 6 days, and (f) multiple attempts calling the one mobile number they called me once from, I am absolutely no further forward and I cant receive the monies I am owed.

I am willing to assert that this is a blatant attempt to proverbially hold me to ransom and force me to buy the premium product or face forfeiture of my monies. However, I'm more than happy to highlight these Mr D. Turpin (Highwayman) 'esque' behaviours to challenge this woeful conduct and to give others the proverbial 'headsup'.

As an Amzon delivery driver you are forced to pay £50 a month just to receive your minimum wage via WithWise

You basically work half a day for free every month purely to benefit WithWise. This company profits from Amazon drivers, fiddles their income and tax’s because they are ignorant to fact of what they should or should not pay for HMRC. Drivers are coerced to sign up to WithWise because without it they cannot receive their money or be offered work.

When challenged or questioned they simply know they can say or do what ever they want because of their iron gated relationship between Amazon and Franchises of Amazon.

Stay away from them

I worked for Peregrine 2022-2023 as a self employed driver, they decided to have my taxes calculated and maintained by this company ( wise. ). Wise offered 2 subscriptions, one standard and Full subscription (that is, I don't have to do anything, they will take care of everything: payment of taxes, closing of the year). Today 2024 I received a message from HMRC that my taxes for the year 22-23 have not been paid. I contacted this company and found out that yes, they did not pay the taxes because I did not contribute enough for them to do so and for this reason the taxes are my responsibility. They didn't even send an email to inform me that they won't pay the taxes, the agent I spoke with said that I should call them and ask about the taxes, even though the subscription I chose clearly said that it's not my job to take care of the taxes.
