AVOID AT ALL COSTS (IF YOU CAN!)
TERRIBLE, if not actually SHOCKING to deal with - No customer service number, No call back when stated, false information, utterly useless website, no desktop access to the service you are being forced to buy, does not respond to emails etc. - If you have a choice then I would recommend AVOIDING Wise, withwise, Beamin etc. at all cost.
Moreover, I have twice asked them their regulatory status in terms of their processing sums of money for people i.e. are they regulated by the likes of the Financial Conduct Authority. Its highly concerning that they are refusing to answer, what is a fundamental question in terms of peoples financial protections and safety.
I was forced to, engage with this company, to receive payments. I requested a callback for help with what product was best for myself. The issue being there is a £12.50 & £20.00 per week option and I did not want to pay more than I had too. After 3 weeks my payee got a hold of them and Wise (the starkly oxymoronic nature of their moniker and subsequent abilities is not lost on myself!) eventually got in touch. I was, then categorically, given wrong and/or useless information re: the ability to select a product option i.e. I only needed the cheaper option for 2 weeks to receive outstanding monies.
Basically, there is no option, you are forced to go for the most expensive option. As I have refused to be railroaded into this thus far (I grudge paying the £12.50 to get paid what I am owed, never mind £20.00) I am unable to get paid what I am owed. Fundamentally, they want me to pay £40.00 to get the £400.00 or so I'm owed. Rather cretinous really.
Thus far, the only discernible difference between this and other forms of 'robbery' is the fundamental visibility and availability of ones 'robber' it seems.
Despite (a) multiple attempts on the, exceptionally poor, Wise App, (b) over the course of many days, (c) several attempts at diagnosing the issue via their website, FAQ's, and (d) searching google, forums etc. and (e) 3 emails in just the last 6 days, and (f) multiple attempts calling the one mobile number they called me once from, I am absolutely no further forward and I cant receive the monies I am owed.
I am willing to assert that this is a blatant attempt to proverbially hold me to ransom and force me to buy the premium product or face forfeiture of my monies. However, I'm more than happy to highlight these Mr D. Turpin (Highwayman) 'esque' behaviours to challenge this woeful conduct and to give others the proverbial 'headsup'.
