Poor Product - Customer service non-existent
I purchased 4 Wolfrace Assasin wheels. After a while the wheels developed white spots all over - a defect in the manufacture, the laquer parting from the paint underneath.
I contacted Wheelbase, the company I bought them from and - they came back with - The wheels are out of guarantee. I have found other posts on the net with this same problem. I contacted Wolfrace direct and they were not interested, in fact they put the phone down on me, I rang back and they said go back to where you bought them!
This company and Wheelbase must have known about this being a problem with these wheels but they're not interested in customer service, in fact they are still selling these second rate wheels.
Avoid dealing with them. DONT BUY WOLFRACE they are not the product they used to be. I will never buy any again or deal with either of these 2 companies.
Ordered a set of alloys, paid and told a 3 week run time.
4 weeks later heard nothing so ring and was told that they were missed off the shipment wait 3 more weeks.
Still heard nothing so ring again to be told “next week” and promised an email.
No e-Mail and no wheels a week later.
Cancelled order.
Quick to take the money, let’s see how quick they are to return it!
Lovely wheels for the price. My wheels are Mercedes fitment 20s and look fab in black. Really happy as they are pretty low cost and look the business. Others may complain about flaking paint but I think you have too remember the cost. On my other car I have a set of 18s from Wolfrace also and whilst there is some minor flaking after 3 years this is normal for lower cost rims. High priced rims are 4 times as much and you might expect more durability. You get what you pay for. Overall they are great value for money costing little more than the cost of a refurbishment!!! Very happy repeat customer.
Mine is a similarly poor experience to many others that have reported issues. Despite excellent detailing and regular care, my black and silver Aeros all started pitting and the black gloss deteriorating like crazy, after just 15 months. It's rapidly spreading across all wheels and looks awful. A 12-month warranty (which is likely impossible to pursue anyway) is a joke for a £650 set of alloys. Shameful.
Bad Wheels !! The paint is coming off in like 6 months ask for help or warranty they dont help ! Dont buy this Wheels
Greetz from the Netherlands
23 months out of a set of Wolfrace Genesis on my VW T5 before the dreaded white spots start to appear.
I am meticulous with cleaning so this is a manufacturer defect, no question.
Avoid, pay the extra for a decent set of rims and do without the hassle.
Seller offered no assistance either which to me suggests this is a known issue. Quick check on Trust Pilot reveals this is more than common.
I paid £1000 for a set of wheels from Wolfrace for my camper van and have only done 2000 miles, and the two wheels that face the weather (the others two face a fence) have gone from black to white spots !!! they look awful and they won't do a thing about it, even said that it shouldn't happen with NORMAL use. The vans been parked up for 6 months..............never ever use these cowboys
Terrible communication trying to cancel my order having ordered, paid and being told that my locking wheel nuts would be posted in the next 2 days!!!!
6 weeks later they still didn't arrived!
Cancelled again and again and their staff kept telling me different stories!
Reported and disputed through Paypal.
NEVER USE AGAIN!!!!
I purchased a set of black gloss Wolfrace Assassin wheels for an Audi A5. After a few months I noticed tiny blisters covering the paintwork. I had no idea what the issue was, and it didn’t seem a huge problem at the time, but I continued to monitor the problem.
The blisters continued to increase in size and after 12 months the clear coat started separating from the paintwork. A few months later the clear coat was non-existent. The wheels looked really scruffy.
I complained to 'Demon Tweeks', the retailer, but they weren’t interested, advising that the wheels were out of warranty. In any case, Wolfrace have an extremely poor reputation in honouring their warranty.
Realising that I would get nowhere with a claim I decided to have the wheels repainted by a highly respected and professional wheels refurbishing company. Shortly after delivering the car to them the company contacted me to advise that all 4 wheels were buckled with fractured spokes. The wheels had to be straightened in a furnace and welded. The cost was close to £700.
The company advised me that they had refurbished hundreds of Wolfrace wheels. They told me that the castings were of a poor quality manufactured in China.
The word ‘cowboys’ comes to mind. You have been warned!!
