I’ve been ordering from Wooden Banana for about two years. Until recently, I had generally good experiences with their wooden boxes and all-inclusive service (I thought).
A recent situation involving one of my wedding clients raised serious concerns. My client shared photos of the “all-inclusive” package they received and it was very different from what is advertised on Wooden Banana’s website.
I had selected the USB glass bottle, but the client received a wooden USB stick instead. In addition, the box that is promoted as an “all-inclusive” presentation with decorative elements arrived completely empty, just the USB and prints placed inside. This is far different presentation from the one shown in their marketing.
Because presentation is extremely important for my brand and my clients, I contacted Wooden Banana to ask what had happened. Unfortunately, I received no response to multiple emails. I even tried reaching out to Mark via Facebook/Messenger, but that also did not help and no response. And I even tried writing a post on their Facebook page which never got approved (of course...)
At one point, with another order, I requested a package to be resent to another address because it was sent in the beginning to the wrong address, no answer at all. To this day, my client has not gotten the package.
What’s most concerning is that the original issue regarding the all-inclusive package was never acknowledged or addressed at all.
Due to the lack of communication and the discrepancy between what is advertised and what was delivered, I’ve decided that I will no longer use Wooden Banana for future orders or weddings.
I hope this feedback encourages improvements in both customer communication and product delivery, as these are essential when working with professionals serving clients.
After years of using Wooden Banana for their wooden boxes I’m now incredibly frustrated and disappointed. I ordered a box a year ago to have an acrylic lid (as my customers personalisation). On arrival it had a wooden lid, I can accept this as it has happened before, but a year on I’ve still not received the right box even with promises of sending it with other orders. I now have very frustrated customers even though this is out of my hands. I will now seriously be thinking on using another company in the future
For albums, I ordered 2 times and had no problem; they arrived in around 15 days, all good.
For all-inclusive wooden box and USB, it’s another story.
You order something, but you will never know what you will actually receive. So if you deal with this supplier, double-check with them carefully.
I waited a month to get a tracking number and delivery. When it arrived, the box was not the one I ordered, they sent whatever they preferred, without explanation.
I ordered a 32 GB USB and they sent me an 8 GB one with the files inside in web-size, which is too small for a big wedding with over a thousand pictures.
Good luck getting a response. They completely ghosted me, no answer to emails.
I had to be very, very persistent on Instagram to get any reply. Finally, they answered, but all messages were like “it will be fixed soon,” “soon,” “today.” I waited a full month. Finally, my tracking number arrived after all the pushing, but it was still stuck in Poland.
I don’t know when it will arrive, if it will finally be resolved, or if they will just send the USB replacement (which is what I assume) or the correct box. They tried to excuse the files on the USB but never gave me explanations or options about the box.
I ordered a second one in the meantime, when I didn’t expect this. I waited a month too for the tracking number. I’m not sure what I’m going to receive.
In the top of that when it arrived was the usb that needed to go to the other client.
Very unprofessional and trust 0. Terrible customer service.
Definitely looking for a new supplier.
For a company that is supposed to act as a trusted third-party for wedding creatives, I am truly speechless. I don’t often leave negative reviews about other businesses in the wedding industry, but at this point, I feel backed into a corner and need to warn others.
One of my couples purchased a USB and picture box from this company via my Pic-Time store after their wedding. Neither they nor I received any confirmation.
Two months later, my couple reached out heartbroken that nothing had arrived. I immediately contacted Pic-Time, who were also left in the dark by the vendor.
Over the past few weeks, the situation has only gotten worse. I’ve sent multiple emails, Pic-Time has followed up, and I even reached out on Instagram. While I did get a brief reply once, promising to “check in the morning,” no action was ever taken. Subsequent messages were seen but ignored.
This is beyond unprofessional. My couple, already emotional after their wedding, paid for a product they never received. As a photographer, I trust Pic-Time to vet the vendors integrated into their shop, but this should never have been allowed to happen.
My advice: avoid this company entirely. If you are a Pic-Time user with this shop built into your interface, remove it. I’m writing this not out of spite, but to make sure no other couple or photographer goes through the same frustrating and upsetting experience.
Terrible customer service!! I bought an album in November and it is now August... I've emailed tons and got short non helpful replies. They keep promising that it'll get done then I get ghosted for a month at a time or longer. I will not be ordering from them again..
I've now ordered two albums from WB - the second is on the way as my sample. The first, to me (to double check) before being passed to my client. I'm really happy with the album, the quality of the covers and prints is great. Client is very pleased with their album.
If striving for perfection, WB could give us a little more info on the production times for albums; as we only hear once the album is shipping, but production takes a few weeks.

Having used Wooden Banana a lot in the last 5 years I made another routine order in July 2022. Every single USB was unrecognisable on my machine. I’d had a few random faults before but never on this scale. After contacting them a couple of times they agreed to test a new batch before sending, and I had replacements arrive in August. But the same thing happened, none worked. I had to push to get a response this time, (including prompting with comments on their social media) and I asked to send them back, they agreed so that they could be checked and find out the issue before replacing. I was given a UK address for the owner, Mark, in September - and posted them the same day. What followed was weeks of me e-mailing for updates, and then finally asking for a refund instead. Because they took so long that I had to buy other USBs to get my own orders out to customers that had waited far longer than I’d like. And as of today, I still have no reply from them. But I’m getting their marketing e-mails through! I filed a complaint with my solicitor and only got my money back thanks to legal insurance covering the loss of goods. But I am angry that they kept my money and did not deliver or even respond to me after years of loyal custom and recommendations.
After posting USBs to Mark's home address as advised by WB in September, I also found out that he Emigrated in June. I’ll never use them again and wouldn’t advise anyone else to.
Hi Everyone, I ordered an all inclusive photography box back on the on the 13th January and this has STILL not been delivered - I appreciate that the box I ordered is no longer being supplied but my ordered was placed before they were taken off the website and therefore the order should have still been honoured and any updates regarding my order provided - after many emails asking for updates I have had no reply since the 2nd Feb - the communication provided by woodenbanna has not been acceptable at all.
My customer has now made a complaint against my business and the only thing I've been able to do is order a USB box from somewhere else - which means I'm not only out the £97 I paid for the wooden banana box that has never been received but also the box I've had to purchase from elsewhere - I'd stay well away from ordering any inclusive packages from this company.
I ordered a wooden USB box for a wedding client. The initial experience was positive. The ordering was smooth and responses from the seller were prompt.
The order took 5 weeks to arrive, which was disappointing. The seller only sent an update when I asked if the order was on it's way.
When it arrive, the quality was good, but the logo had been engraved off-centre, which made the box unusable. I checked the logo artwork I had sent to ensure that it was aligned correctly, which it was. I contacted the seller to ask for a replacement.
6 weeks have since passed with no response. I'm left with a product I can't use and out of pocket. It's a shame as the product was otherwise quite good.
