Jumpers made in England

I have bought several jumpers from this company over the last few years and I find the products very good at a nice price. Also the beauty of these jumpers is that they are made in the UK with wool from sheep that walk about in fields in the UK

I bought a jumper nine months ago from…

I bought a jumper nine months ago from this company and the experience was poor, as reflected in my earlier review. Not least because the company is less than five miles away, ie local, I decided to give them a second chance and ordered a second jumper, however I learned quickly that second chances often produce an even worse experience. The jumper was ordered on 29th November 2023, and the confirmation stated delivery would be within 2/3 days. I interpreted this as working days so expected delivery by 5th December. No sign on 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th, so I emailed on 9th December. The reply stated that I would hear back on Monday (11th December). I didn't, so I emailed again, expressing my disappointment. By this time I was a little anxious as I could no longer see my order online, or even access the company's website, simply getting a full-screen "Sorry, this store is currently unavailable".
The owner eventually replied stating that the factory closes mid-December to January - but my order was 29November and it is now only 11 December! She added that my order would be out this week - no more than that; no special delivery; and particularly no apology. Remember, she quoted 2/3 days and it was now 13, with no sign of the jumper even being dispatched, let alone delivered.
In the end, having zero confidence the jumper would ever turn up (was she going to open the factory specially for me?) I requested a refund.
To have one bad experience might be unfortunate; for the second to be so much worse, and for the owner to show no concern, is simply unacceptable. There will not be a third chance to prove you can get it remotely right.
And surely, if a company takes a holiday they make that clear on their website, instead of leaving customers wondering if they have gone out of business/run off with our cash? That is what a professional outfit would do anyway, even buyers on Ebay provide such information.

Late delivery & refund still waiting

Purchase took almost two weeks to arrive since ordered 29th April. Meant to be 5 or 6th May - checked with Woolaway in 9th May where order was?
Dealt with customer service team who told me to be patient with order arriving - cheeky I think.
Size was too large.
Returned 17th May and a week later still waiting on my refund.
Very poor service.
Wont use them again.

Appalling customer service

Ordered a medium jumper as a Christmas present basing the measurments off a small one I ordered a while ago.

The sleeves on the medium are shorter than on the small! They are less than 49 cm long where as the small sleeves are 51 cm.

I contacted the company who only replied once and were extremly rude! So I am left with an expensive jumper which doesn't fit!

Avoid this company!

Tunic from Woolaway and…

I bought a wool tunic from Woolaway and I love it. It's a beautiful jade colour, and the wool is soft. The complex raised pattern keeps the warmth in. It also smells delightfully of lanolin. The company kept in touch by email, before the jumper arrived, letting me know that they were in the process of knitting it. I am glad, though, that I ordered a small size - very generous. I see that another reviewer seems to have had a problem with shrinkage. I haven't washed my tunic yet, but when I do, I shall review again.

Washed products unwearable

I purchased a Guernsey Crew Neck Jumper from Woolaway Knitwear. I was pleased with it, the fit was just right. When I came to wash it, I followed their instructions: 30 degree wool wash, drying it flat on the washing line. Much to my disappointment, it shrank so much I couldn't put it on.

I later bought an Aran. Again, I was pleased with the jumper, it was a 'roomy' fit. Not to repeat my experience, I used a cold wool wash and air dried. This jumper has now shrunk, the sleeves are halfway up my wrists and the hem barely reaches my waistline. I am perplexed about how one can wash them without significant shrinkage happening. My washing machine is less than six months old and washes other loads fine. Understandably, I am very disappointed. I have parted with over £100 for premium products which became unwearable after following the washing instructions on their website. What's more, they won't respond to my e-mails.
