2 factor authentication still missing...

For years using Woonveilig, and on the whole happy with the app and service they provide. However there's one drawback.
A few years ago I contacted Woonveilig. Why don't they offer 2-factor authentication? Only username and password is very insecure. "We are working on that".
Up till now no 2-FA. No SMS as second login step. No passkey.
I'm not conspiracy thinker. But still I wonder, who's interest is it NOT to incorporate a more secure login procedure. Maybe a deal with a stakeholder as part of the Intelligence and Security Services Act 2017 (sleepwet)? Is it easier for this other party to slip inside all the camera's? To peek what everyone is doing? Should we follow the money, to find out if Woonveilig has accepted something in return, as a favor? Who knows.

Woonveilig have blocked html access to…

Woonveilig have blocked html access to the local web server in their device without warning killing all my home assistant automations. I now have a useless piece of electronic junk to dispose of. It was time to renew my alarm anyway and needless to say it won't be a woonveilig system this time. Bad move woonveilig very dissapopinting

The outdoor camera is not reliable

The outdoor camera is not reliable. It keeps disconnecting without reconnecting until restarted, I called the support many times and they pushed the software each time which fixes the issue temporarily but then the issue raises again. I do not advise spending money on the camera. Other than that all works fine.

Het product is prima, maar de service is niet noodzakelijkerwijs bevredigend..

Het product is prima, maar de service is afschuwelijk. Bij het instellen ben je verplicht om je bankrekeningnummer op te geven, zelfs als je niet van plan was om de betaalde dienst te gebruiken. U wordt automatisch geabonneerd op de betaalde dienst voor de eerste maand. Als u inlogt op uw persoonlijke onlineportaal, kunt u uw abonnementstype niet wijzigen. U moet naar de website gaan en de juiste link vinden, weggestopt in een hoekje. Een expliciete e-mail sturen om op te zeggen werkt niet, want ze zijn erg sluw in het schrijven van hun voorwaarden.

De klantenservice geeft geen prioriteit aan klanten. Ze geven alleen om het verdedigen van het geld dat ze al geïncasseerd hebben. Ze streven er niet naar hun huidige klanten tevreden te houden, zodat hun producten (en diensten) positief zullen worden aanbevolen aan anderen.

Ik beveel dit product niet aan vanwege de slechte service die het met zich meebrengt.

UPDATE: Na weken van discussie, heeft Woonveilig besloten om hun beslissing terug te draaien en mij het geld terug te betalen dat ze hebben genomen. Dit toont aan dat ze, tot op zekere hoogte, een bedrijf zijn dat bereid is te luisteren naar de klanten, en te zorgen voor klantengeluk, hoewel je als klant misschien moet volhouden om van dergelijke privileges te genieten.

The product is fine but the service is atrocious. Upon setting it up, you are obliged to include your bank account number, even if you did not intend to use the paid service. You are automatically subscribed to the paid service for the first month. If you log in to your personal online portal, you cannot switch your subscription type. You need to go to the website, and find the correct link tucked away in a corner. Sending an explicit email to cancel does not work as they are very cunning in writing their terms and conditions.

Customer service does not prioritise customers. They only care about defending the money they have already collected. They do not strive to keep their current customers happy, so that their products (and services) will be positively recommended to others.

I do not recommend this product because of the bad service that comes with it.

UPDATE: After weeks of discussion, Woonveilig has decided to reverse their decision and refund me the money they have taken. This shows that they are, to some extent, a company that is willing to listen the customers, and ensure customers happiness, although as a customer, you may have to persist to enjoy such privileges.

Update to 2 stars.

Wat ontzettend vervelend dat u niet tevreden bent over onze service. Wij zien juist graag tevreden klanten en staan altijd klaar om te assisteren wanneer dit nodig is.

Tijdens het registratieproces begint u inderdaad met de uitgebreide beveiligingsdienst die u van ons de eerste maand gratis kunt proberen. Het is altijd mogelijk om tijdens en ook na deze proefperiode het abonnement aan te passen.

Ik heb uw melding gevonden in ons systeem en zal hier een passende oplossing voor gaan zoeken. Wanneer ik een passende oplossing heb gevonden, zal ik contact met u opnemen.

Scam

Required subscription with a month notification period. You are supposed to present MAC, email, phone, IBAN in written form for cancellation. And they take their sweet time to respond. Very rude customer support. Alarm itself is very cheaply made, low range detectors, unreliable notifications. They are closer to racket than to a security company. Lots of bought reviews on Trustpilot: just check the number of reviews of every person that gave them 5/4 stars (average: 1, all published on the same date) and for 2/3 stars (average: 3). That should tell you enough

WARNING: WOONVEILIG SCAM ATTEMPT VIA INTRUM

Sorry for writing in English, but I'm French ;-)

I bought a security system at Hornbach, it was a promotion that came with a Hue lighting set. After opening the boxes at my office to instal it, I discovered you can not use the system before going through an online registration process. It was impossible to use the system without entering my bank data, which immediately gave me this weird vibe that something dodgy was going on, but hey... I wanted to use my new set, so I just jotted down some random digits -like one does when an unknown party asks for your bankdata to try to con you out of some cash in a deal that you did not sign up for. Or... did I? Because a few months later... low and behold, INTRUM starts sending me invoices in a very serious tone threatening me to send them some money. Wow! I'm stupified by the boldness of this blatant con attempt. Obviously not paying up to these middle folkers, and thought I'd better warn everyone back in NL never to buy a product from these scam artists at Woonveilig. You're welcome!

crap support / product. No real house safeguarding with this product

Promote working with other products like homey. But they lack the skill and knowledge inside their Company to make iT work and supporting iT . Product keeps crapping out

We have our API under development and as soon as it is ready for deployment off course we will share it with Homey so they can choose to adjust their app. Stay tuned and follow our 'works with' website so see which smart systems we do support!

Since every home has it's own IT infrastructure and possibility to choose from a wide variety of internetproviders and IT systems we try our best to help our customers where we can but yes it may happen that a problem occurs because of the local infrastructure. Very good system which works well

Very good system which works well. You get notifications by phone and email when there has been an interuption to the service and the system performs self checks every 6 hours. I had an issue with my camera in the beginning but the customer services department dealt with this promptly .
