Avoid this place

Avoid this place. 56 days they had my car and the service was terrible. Car handed back with tape around pipes, noises coming from here there everywhere. Started off that it just needs this and that and steadily increases. £3000 they hit me for and never gave me a receipt. And I bet they think ive now walked away. You'll learn.

Wow...I'll be avoiding WMM

After an engine failure on the motorway, WMM recommended an engine reconditioning (cost £3,500) on a 10-year old car that was probably worth around £3,500. That was probably their first mistake. Unfortunately, I took their advice. After the engine reconditioning and re-fit (which took a long time!), there was knocking from the engine and poor performance at low speeds. When the car was returned for attention, I was charged ~£150 for a new rear engine mounting! The noises did not disappear and the performance remained poor and this was reported to WMM. I also noticed that the car seemed to be using a lot of oil.... around 1.5L topped up over the next few weeks. Not 100% trusting WMM as they'd been very dismissive and charged for a mounting that I believe they should have sorted when re-fitting the engine, I took the car to another reputable garage for an inspection. The video evidence of this inspection showed (among other things) the condenser hanging off (not fitted properly), the engine mounting bolts finger loose, head gasket smothered with oil and not fitted properly and extensive oil leak with oil splattered all over the underside of the engine. Despite several requests for WMM to explain these faults, no explanation has been provided. I requested the other garage to fix the problems. WMM insisted that they be given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle. They did an inspection, together with the company that "reconditioned" the engine, and pronounced that the engine had failed (likely due to oil loss but it is clear to me why there was oil loss!) and the car could not be driven. I was then charged an additional £1,000 to have the engine fixed.... which took 2 weeks and £250 insurance charge for a courtesy car.
Draw your own conclusions from this story.
One WMM stumble across this review, I'm sure they'll post a response stating I didn't give them a chance to fix the problem and the issues were all the fault of other garages. The ignores the fact that following their expensive reconditioning and ref-it work, the engine was not "as new", and work (as shown by video evidence) was shoddy,

Wow Car repairs

Wow! this company go the extra mile I can tell you, my car broke down whilst in Worcester on route to a meet in Swindon - phoned 'Dave' I think the owner and he sent his guy out who told me it needed some parts that would take a couple of hours or so to get and then some more time to fix? talking to the owner who could tell I needed to be somewhere 'gave me' his courtesy car covered on his insurance and I got to my meeting. I phoned him afterwards and my car was fixed ready etc, best thing he only charged me £15 for the car hire - and the car is working great. very reasonable and will definitely use again :)
