I reserved & paid for a room in Vienna…

I reserved & paid for a room in Vienna via WOTIF & on 3/2/25 received their itinerary number via SMS. Any subsequent attempt to obtain trip information needs that WOTIF itinerary number, but the WOTIF system continually claims its incorrect. There is no alternative to gain any access without it. You can't even complain on line or speak with their call centre. It's like the Bermuda Triangle. What a hopeless, inadequate, frustrating system. WOTIF is impossible to recommend.

Went through Wotif to book a dog…

Went through Wotif to book a dog friendly accommodation which came up as such on their web site. When I checked with the motel they are not dog friendly. I cancelled but could not contact WOTif for a refund. Impossible to contact. Avoid at all costs! Marsden stay Rotorua where I booked were not helpful either. Presumably they have been paid but kept telling me to contact WOTIF which is impossible.

DO NOT USE!!! SCAM COMPANY!!

DO NOT USE, this company is a scam. I wish I’d read the reviews before booking. I booked a Sydney hotel with them, I had to cancel (it was more than one month in advance cancellation), but they are refusing to refund the money. I spoke to the hotel direct and they said the booking was cancelled, but I had to request the refund through Wotif, but Wotif are just sending automated emails in response. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Avoid at all cost. Tried to change date within 24 hrs of making a reservation, but unable to contact them to do this even though the hotel (who I contacted direct) were happy to make the change). The online chat was useless.

Website does not function and has been…

Website does not function and has been this way for several days. Specifically, when you click on a property, it won't open up to show the details of the actual property or allow a booking. Additionally, when you search on select criteria and click show MAP VIEW, the page does not show map view and refreshes back to the list view. My advice, is ALWAYS search properties direct. You get lower rates, immediate support and more personalised customer service. Third party platforms always reflect higher rates to cover the obscene commissions the take from hosts. 15-20% often. I know as I own a property and deal with this drama with third parties constantly.

Truly disgraceful operators

Truly disgraceful operators. Never will I use them again. We had to change an overnight accommodation in Auckland. Using the bot chat was awful as the bot kept advising that they couldn’t contact the hotel to authorise the change. I spoke to the hotel direct who authorised it but I still had to get wotif request the change. Several phone calls and emails ensued with wotif advising they couldn’t contact the hotel. All worked out ok in the end but only because I spoke direct to the hotel. Avoid wotif as they are totally unhelpful and deceitful with any change requests

They won't take responsibility for…

They won't take responsibility for substandard properties which they misrepresent on their website. And won't refund accommodation even though I made an alternative booking at other accommodation a kilometre away for the same night. Pathetic parasites.

I booked a shuttle pickup with Jayride…

I booked a shuttle pickup with Jayride through Wotif (biggest scam out - stay away) but when I reported this to Wotif they said they couldn't get onto them. I suggested they remove the company from their platform and they take responsibility for the refund and all communications stopped. Would not use them again.

I believe Wotif engaged in deceptive conduct

We used Wotif to book a hotel in Brisbane. We ended up with two rooms booked. We wanted one. We asked the hotel if we could get a refund on the second room. They said yes but we'd need to go back through Wotif. I contacted Wotif. They messaged me that they called the hotel and couldn't get approval from the hotel for a refund. I called the hotel. They said they'd refunded the money to Wotif. I called Wotif back. They said they'd just contacted the hotel and the hotel had refused to give a refund. I contacted the hotel again. The hotel emailed me a receipt showing that they had refunded the money to Wotif. I emailed the receipt to Wotif. Wotif contacted me and said that they had just called the hotel (at 3:30am) and the hotel had refused to give a refund. Given that the hotel showed me a receipt, I think what has happened here is that Wotif want to keep the money but have no ethical rationale for doing so. Instead I think they have repeatedly denied the facts. I believe that this is deceptive conduct.

I have been trying to obtain a refund…

I have been trying to obtain a refund from Wotif for many months. On the rare occasions I have managed to talk to someone, they say they'll look into but I never get a reply. Lately. you cannot talk to anyone or get past their answering system.
I would give a 0 if I could. I will never use them again.

Never using them again

My flight to Manila was delayed by 27hrs so I contacted Wotif about my accommodation. They said they would contact the hotel to see if they could change my booking as my particular booking didn't allow changes. They got back to me the next day and said the hotel wouldn't change my booking & I'd lose my money.
I immediately contacted the hotel directly. They were more than happy to change my booking. When I mentioned that Wotif had called, the manager said they had not called or emailed.
Sorry but I don't like being lied to & Wotif lied.

Fake Ratings

They have scammers taking money from people looking to earn a decent living. There's this platform, wotif platform, where you "buy" ratings for these hotels so the hotels gets good ratings when behind the scenes, it's just scammers. Don't book on Wotif, go for Expedia. Any other platform is better than this.

Terrible. Wotif took my money. We turned up at the motel. The motel is no longer a motel and they had no accommodation available. Emailed wotif and got no response.
