Emergency booking turned to a nightmare…
I needed emergency booking for the night. I was booked in an accommodation in Alice Springs. The booking was taken after 8pm and I made this booking while I was 2 hours away from Alice Springs. I was let through the secure gate remotely after pressing the buzzer. Ended up getting stranded in that car park with no room keys, no arrangement for us to have the keys available and the last straw is no was no contact details to call anyone😭😭. Management to have a live chat with someone called Jeanne who could not provide any solution, told us there is nothing they could do and have the audacity, the impetus, the temerity, the nerve to tell me we were within the penalty period for a no show then it will take 72 hours to be looked into. Like what the heck when we are on the property stranded at midnight after a long drive from Adelaide with another 12 hour drive to do in the morning. The last straw was when she bailed on me from the chat.
Wotif are just good at taking money, no hounorship when things go sour but actually adding salt to the injury.
I am very disappointed with them and will never ever havething to do with them again in this life. Horrible people.

Never book through wotif. Their system is slow, they let you book rooms online that are already taken. You turn up, no room, then they charge you anyway and absolutely refuse to refund. They muck you around, muck you around, after hours of repeated emails, emails, emails ( no phone contact whatsover), they promise you a refund but dont pay it. Never use Wotif
Booked and paid WOTIF for a room
Booked and paid WOTIF for a room. Motel called and stated they would not honour booking and cancelled the room 10 min before our arrival. Motel blamed WOTIF for undercharging for room at $140. Motel stated twice they organised a refund through WOTIF but one month later no refund.
Absolutely appalling

Booked a hotel for 1 night near Auckland airport only to arrive and be told the hotel is closed due to the flooding.
No email or communication from Wotif...had driven through near flood waters from the coromandel to get there.
Tried phoning wotif but weren't taking calls so had a keyboard battle with a virtual chat only to be told I can't cancel because the booking is for that day!!!!
I didn't want to cancel, I wanted a place to stay or a refund.
I have used wotif many,many times in the past with no problems but will never EVER use them again!!!!!
Wotif.com declined paying cashback as advertised
from ShopBack.com it had limited time higher cashback than its competitors. Then I booked a trip from wotif as a first time user. After long wait, ShopBack.com informed me that wotif declined to pay commission as if it was 0% cashback. I think this is illegal to bait and switch. Would never book from wotif again and no one should.
Nightmare to deal with
booked through Wotif for 4 nights accommodation - received confirmation of booking and upon check-in we were told that they had moved us to another accommodation down the road. It was much cheaper than what we had already paid and trying to get some compensation from Wotif is a nightmare. The hotel is blaming Wotif and Wotif is blaming the hotel and I'm stuck in the middle (out of pocket). The operators at the call centre don't have great english and every interaction is like a first call - having to explain over and over what happened. I have given up trying and am counting my losses. So very disappointing! Will not be in a hurry to use Wotif again.
Horrible Experience
I booked a 3 day stay in Sydney with Wotif - Itinerary # 72466680770602
Due to a problem with the website, the dates were incorrect so as soon as the booking was confirmed and the full payment taken from my bank account, I rang Wotif Help Centre immediately to request a change in the dates.
The operator said he would make contact with the venue to request the change in dates.
He then reported that he was unable to make contact with the vendor and I would lose my total payment.
I then rang the venue directly and they agreed to change the dates, but I had to again confirm with Wotif as they were the organization I made the booking with.
They even provided me with the manager's name and a direct line number for them to call.
I then rang Wotif and explained the situation and they again tried to make contact with the vendor, this time with the direct number provided.
They advised they could not make contact.
I rang Wotif a further 10 times and every time they couldn't make contact with the people responsible.
They even tried to ring my mobile number after cutting me off and couldn't get through,
This was despite the fact that I had the phone in my hand but didn't receive a call.
It seems nobody from the overseas Wotif Centre is able to ring an Australian mobile number correctly.
I then made contact with the provider of the accommodation, and he cancelled the booking and changed the dates.
He also said that under the circumstances, a full refund would be provided.
I am now waiting for my refund through Wotif.
The Wotif service was extremely poor, and I have provided the full details of the incompetence to the NSW Department of Fair Trading and various media organizations to highlight the situation.
I would recommend that people steer well clear of the Wotif service.

qantas cancelled my flight. Impossible to contact WOTIF. Took the total booking $$$
They are dogs
Double charged us for flights, ended up getting the bank to cancel the second payment as wotif wouldn't acknowledge the second charge.
Then our flights got cancelled and have called the 4 times in as many weeks and every time same that we will receive a refund in 3 to 5 days. Since last call they issued us flight credits instead of a refund. We already have other flights to cover cancellation flights. They are dogs.

Absolutely no assistance whatsoever if something goes wrong with the booking. We tried to change the dates of our hotel-booking and Wotif insisted that they had requested a change with the hotel but when we asked the hotel they had not received anything from Wotif. Don’t ever use this site!
Will not issue refund for cancelled flights
My flights I booked through Wotif were cancelled so I requested a refund. 4 months later and I still can’t get my money refunded and no one from Wotif gets back to be even though I am told every time someone will get back to me in 72 hours. Disgusting service, I will never use them again. I will now have to look into legal action to get my money back.

The booking date was wrong, said they would refund it if they could get a hold of hotel, they said they tried to contact the hotel but the hotel said they never contacted them, spoke to the hotel and they responded to wotif's email i forwarded it to them, they never ever responded or acknowledged their email. i found it impossible to use my wotif credit via their website. when i tried to get help all i got were virtual assistants who didn't understand and finally an actual person who said it was my fault , i should have rung them instead of giving my credit card which i thought was odd but there was no 'use-credit' option. i can't find a phone number on the site. at least they could have extended my expiry date for using credit but no. terrible customer service, terrible website. i will never use again

I booked accomodation. I got notification that I cancelled it. I clicked on the button that confirmed I had not cancelled my accomodation. I contacted WOTIF. All they did was confirm it was cancelled and advised me to book again. I did but with Booking.com. No customer service offered.

I booked a queensland trip at the novotel hotel. Wotif advertised ocean view. When I arrived it was not ocean view. I called wotif wasted 2 nights waiting for escalation. There hiring people for there platform to do reviews during online reviews on their site's what ended up happening is one of their agents that was helping me set up at the site I didn't give my password but I referred them as a referee .and what I done as I was working on the referees site referrer site he made 800 bucks sent her cryptocurrency wallet attached to it got me to send the receipts to verify the sales that took place ran off with the money and also my account ended up becoming - as well and I've now minus 36 with 800 gone so I wouldn't trust that company if I were you their pack of stealing dogs and they get team leaders to rip you off there skunks, then help team you all make money rip people off
Wotif booked my accommodation on wrong…
Wotif booked my accommodation on wrong date even I checked several times during booking. I was told by hotel that Wotif has done this with many customers.
When I approached Wotif about that they asked me to pay extra $40 to change the date. Which was a ripoff.
They will steal your money.

This company is a scam company. I booked and paid for a car service that never arrived, and after being messed around by Wotif for 8 months, I have been informed that I am not being refunded my amount and was marked as a "no-show" despite the company being uncontactable. I called wotif straight away and they were also unable to contact the supplier and I was informed I will be refunded the full amount, but after multiple emails and customer support requests, I am not getting the money back. I will be pursuing consumer protection complaints and contacting the ACCC to get this sorted out if it is not rectified soon.
