New Account - closed 3days later
I opened a new account on this provider.
Received always annoying POP UP messages for to UPGRADE to the German VIP Deluxe system and pay them monthly fees for a rubbish service.
They want dictate you, what for information you will post about yourself!
I ignored this messages. 3 days later my profile was closed with no reason!
Typical horrible customer service!
Avoid like plaque!
Dont sign up to Xing
Whatever you do, do not sign up to xing. Linked in is the way to go... i wanted to cancel my membership 3 times and they made it sooo complicated with 10 steps. So dont do it
I wish I had read these reviews before…
I wish I had read these reviews before buying Xing Premium / Projobs. I got 3 months subscription to Xing Pro jobs and premium. My experience was very bad as it did not help me 1 bit anyways...
I thought 3 months mean 3 months and they would ask me if I want to extend subscription. But yesterday they deducted 90 euros from my account and automatically extended the subscription for 3 additional months. This money was never refunded despite requesting support even-tough it was deducted 2 days ago
It gets worse , when you finally cancel after being cheated you still need to open your email , click on it again , open xing and confirm the cancellation again
Scam website , I hope they get a lawsuit soon
Negative experience
Be careful with conditions for paid subscription. They have no reminder by email about renewal. They confirmed that too in the support email.
It took some time to figure out who took my money off from the card. It looks like a fraud. You have to take into account that cancelation is possible only 3 weeks before the renewal. After the week of renewal Xing declined my ask to give my payment back. Absolutely not customer-oriented company. Never recommend for paid use.
Ugly subrciption cancellation, bad business...
the 3 weeks cancellation period is a joke. Updating a database with the info that a user has cancelled his / her subscription should take what 10 seconds at most? Shady, bad practice.....
Xing is hopeless
Xing is hopeless - terrible search function & lots of non-relevant results, outdated and non-user friendly interface, incomplete data. Linkedin is so much better in every single way.
Everybody have the same problem
This is how they work/steal money from you:
- They offer one-year membership for a fair price, and you go for it.
- After a year, they automatically renew your membership(without telling you) and charge up to 4 times more than the price you've paid.
Overall: bad customer service, the platform is not good to find jobs
Xing is a SCAM, NEVER subscribe
Xing is a SCAM. I had the same experience as many users as I made the foolish choice to pay the initial membership and never received any kind of value from the totally useless website. Then I stopped using it after having cancelled my subscription and forgot about it...until one year later when I received another invoice which confirmed that I had only "frozen" my account and that, after 12 months, it had been automatically reopened and costed me another 150€. Customer service is very aggressive and threatens to use legal action if you block the payment, they have ready made answers as they must have many many cases like mine, they refused to cancel the invoice even though this was for the year to come and I said I did not want this service, claiming this cancellation must be done 3 weeks prior to anniversary date and that I do not pay for use but for the right to use. Total scam DO NOT USE.
Worst company EVER
Worst company EVER
DON'T subscribe for any paid membership (premium/ProJob/Business) as they will rip you off.. They will immediately renew your membership and make you pay 4x than what you have subscribed to without any notice or reminder before renewal. Bunch of thieves trying to make money on the back of their customers. This is literally called Scamming under the umbrella of "policy". SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
Malicious payment strategy.
I had signed up for xing premium a year back and I have not received any value add from xing.
Xing is a dying platform. Today after a year they have charged me without any notice the amount for next year.
LinkedIn is more useful than Xing. Avoid!
The company is malicious and stay away from them all together. No Xing!
Use LinkedIn
they just ask you for the money. absolutely not recommended, use the original one, also LinkedIn.
Strictly don't go for any paid membership with Xing
I tried their premium membership on Xing.com which never helped me in any sense. It automatically get renewed when first term period ends. When I tried to cancel the membership, I didn't find any option on the website. There is no way you can reach to any support team over phone or by mail. The experience was worst. Avoid to use any paid membership.
you pay for nothing
you pay for nothing
xing does not remind you about the bilings ie xing cheats you.
Xing stole 100 euros from me.
They forced me to pay a 1 year membership. I was previously premium and was no longer interested in the service. They make it impossible to cancel premium from their website, they don't send reminders, and did not accept to reimburse me even when I clearly stated that I was not interested before the premium period begins. Moreover, they do not respect the 14 days customer's protection for contracts stipulated online.
Xing Premium Subscription is a SCAM!!!
Beware of Xing. It's a SCAM !!!.
Their strategy is to loot premium subscriber's Money.
1. They will never send any money receipt of your Auto renewal, but they will keep deducting money from your bank account UNLESS you notice through your bank statement.
2. Once you cancel your premium subscription well before 3 weeks notice period. You'll receive an email asking for RECONFIRMATION of cancellation your Premium subscription. IT'S THE SCAM EMAIL. And THERE'S THE CATCH, you will NEVER receive any Cancellation Confirmation after you follow procedures of that email.
N.B. :- Please DON'T FORGET to save the SCREENSHOT of Cancellation Procedure you performed following the email you received afterwards.
3. Thereafter, you LL start receiving invoices. After 3 invoice reminders you'll receive a letter from their Attorney. Claiming you Didn't RECONFIRM your cancellation of subscription following the email received afterwards.
Moral of the story. Please please please stay away from Xing's premium subscription.
XING payment model
XING has complicated payment rules. They keep charging you, if you don't cancel your subscription in time under certain time period. Such "sneaky hand in your pocket" policy is disgusting.
NEVER AND EVER GO FOR PREMIUM
True Rating: 0/5
I subscribed to Xing Premium one year ago and I am now regretting my choice. I used the service for about 2-3 months after that I never opened the app/website. Today, out of the blue I got a notification from my bank that I was deducted 95 euros by some New York SE company which turned out to be XING. They did not even send a reminder on the e-mail/website/app.
When I raised the same issue with their customer service they are terribly arrogant and mentioning the same old song of it is written in our terms and conditions, you should have read the 23-page document clearly before subscribing for the premium membership and stuff like that.
The craziest part is you can nowhere see the membership cancellation option on their website or app. When I told him I could not find the membership cancellation option, the customer service agent responded that "No sir, it is not true, you should go to help section and type cancellation then you can see the procedure how you can cancel the subscription", SERIOUSLY!!!! If your website is that clean, why do not follow the same procedure for premium subscription?? Every day they send you one or two emails with various offers to lure you to subscribe to premium but when it comes to cancellation, you should go somewhere, type something and read something then follow their instructions!!! and it must be done before the time limit they set up!!!! This is the hights of exploiting!!!
My sincere advice, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO XING PREMIUM!!!
Hidden autorenewal of premium account
Some time ago I got auto-renewal of premium Xing services. To make it clear I am not using these services and I can't even remember the moment when I enrolled for them. In any case, I did not receive any notification about upcoming renewal (otherwise I would just cancel it).
When I contacted support I was told that my cancellation was not in time (minimum of 3 weeks before renewal), read more here (link at xing terms#a-7)
In short, I am "forced" to pay for services that I don't need and see no value from. Support responded after 10+ days on my 2nd inquiry, which is also bad.
Note: This review is based on recent experience with Xing and also on the fact that now I am paying for something that I have 1/5 star value.
If I recognized any value in my premium account and if this wasn't "forces" my review would be much better.
Still, taken into account that service already has 1.2/5 star rating, which is very low, seems like I am not the only person having this same experience.
It's so bad
It's so bad, I don't even know where to start. You can't find your own post after you published it. Even if you find it - you can't edit it, the only option is to remove the post entirely. What a sh*thole with black UX background pretending to be serious business.
Much the same as everyone else - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Much the same as everyone else, in that they seem to trap you into an auto-renewal.
I subscribed to a Xing Premium account in June 2019, authorised and reimbursed by my company, as Xing was offering a 1 year discounted membership at that time.
Fast forward 1 year and I was surprised to receive an invoice for €95.40 to renew for another year. As far as I was concerned I subscribed for 1 year and that was it. Admittedly, I didn't read through all the T&C's and thought nothing further of it until I received the invoice. I didn't even use the service whilst I did subscribe.
This seems to be a cultural difference between the German speaking world and the rest of the world, with zero flexibility. Upon further investigation, auto-renewals are the norm under German commercial law. Fair enough, but most reputable companies send a reminder in due course giving the option to renew or cancel. Not Xing and they don't need to under German consumer law.
After going back and forth with various emails and even involving my company - a major blue chip organisation with various other accounts with them - this was ineffective and I ended up paying to save wasting further energy on this.
So, I'm £90 down for a service I'm not going to use. Back to the actual service itself - it's rubbish and nowhere near the capability of Linkedin. Most German speakers are on Linkedin anyway so don't waste your time or money with Xing. Use an X-ray search if you need to find someone and then connect with them on Linkedin.
