Our external door collection consists of front doors, french doors and gates. We have different styles of front doors to suit any property and personality. Our front doors are available in composite, hardwood, oak, pine and tricoya wood.

Availability
You want it? We’ve got it. We have a huge warehouse that is 140,000sq/ft in size. That’s almost 2 and a half football pitches, stacked high, full of doors!
Delivery
Our delivery is as flexible as you need it to be. You can pick up your doors from your local builders merchant or you can have them delivered direct to your home or site. All you need to do is let your retailer know when you order your doors and they will pass the message on to us. Doors are generally delivered on a 3 day service but we can also deliver to you next day should you require. We will keep you loop of the delivery of your doors via our text messaging service.

You have sent me an email saying my doors have been delivered.
My doors have NOT been delivered. You had an incorrect address on your system for me, which you admitted on the phone to me and you were supposed to get back to me after speaking to Wickes. I’ve not heard off you.
Wickes have the correct address on their system for my order and are looking into this case as to what has gone wrong with the supplier side.

We have tried hard but unfortunately we are unable to trace the issues you seem to have been facing. Our paper trail shows that the correct address has been used across all businesses involved in the fulfilment of your doors.
We were unable to deliver the first time round because no one answered the phone and no one was home. We have a proof of delivery for a successful delivery the second time round.

Doors were described as solid oak
Doors were described as solid oak. Had a tiny bit of oak inside. The rest were mdf. Not good. I also had to chase my order as they seemed to have forgotten to send it out to me.

With regards to our doors however, this might be one worth taking up with the retailer that you purchased the doors from, as the oak doors on our website are not described as solid oak.
Door manufacturers, in general, don't supply solid oak doors because they are partial to warping and failing easily in the event that any moisture gets in the wood. Engineered oak doors are therefore a better solution, and the industry standard for doors, provided by all suppliers.

INTERNAL OAK SUFFOLK PATTERN 10 WITH CLEAR ETCHED GLASS 2040X926X40MMhe order procedure was very good and…
The order procedure was very good and the delivery company were first class. However the doors arrived and when inspected had slight damage to the edge of one door which looked like it had been caused by a retaining strap. This does not matter as I am cutting the damaged edge. There was also what looked like glue on several places on the glass which necessitated removing the protective film on the glass to carefully remove these marks. The doors should never have passed post inspection with these marks on the glass. I was not happy with the condition of the doors as delivered but overall after completing the cleaning work, the doors are of good quality. Jim Falconer

Beautiful doors and good service
Very happy with the doors. They're solid wood and look beautiful. I've received lots of positive comments from visitors. Delivery was a day late later than booked due to traffic problems but the driver went out of his way to deliver first thing next day as I'd booked a carpenter for that day and had nowhere to store them. I found the whole experience very positive.

Take posted replies at face value only. Wrote review on 22 Feb regarding unsatisfactory customer service on the purchase of 11 doors. Xl joinery replied on 28th said they were looking into and would reply by the end of the week. 8 Mar ( over a week later) and nothing heard… sadly this reinforces their poor service and lack value of their customers, appear to be posting a reply to recover face but no action seen. Three weeks on- no reply from XL Joinery or retailer.

Good quality doors and ironmongery
Doors well described on the web site. 8 doors delivered as specified and on time. Quality of doors (Pattern 10, primed) is good and our carpenter was happy to trim and fit. Ironmongery (Bakewell Handle Pack) is good quality. Very happy.

XL Suffolk finished doors
Chose XL Suffolk finished doors because of the style and thickness of the lipping as the height had to be reduced by 20mm. Fast delivery service by friendly driver and the doors were very well protected by the packaging. Doors hung today and they look great. Solid and well made product.

Ordered with ease, delivered as planned, Driver rang to advise he had been delayed in traffic. He was very helpful and I love the doors. They are primed and the joiner told me they were a good quality choice.

Doors Unfit for Purpose and Wont Honour Guarantees
Bought an expensive pre-treated external composite oak cladded door. The cladding has bowed and split in less than 2 years and the manufacturer has refused to honour their guarantee.
Do not buy from XL Joinery.
