I still have very high hopes…

I still have very high hopes that everything will be fine. Your people helps a lot and sound very knowledgeable. They also sound like they care. But it doesn't follow through correctly so far (not including my last conversation with the last guy, so far. That remains to be seen). I ordered my laptop end of March and still haven't seen anything. I understand it's a supplier issue so I'm not mad but I am anxious. I needed this for my first quarter in college and as an adult it was stressful not having it. Over two weeks ago, I upgraded the Stealth to a different laptop and paid over $1300 additional. After talking to the sales guys, they seemed confused what happened to the order. This last time, I did the math and it seems I way overpaid than if I cancelled and reordered fresh. Also, with the order, it should have entitled me to a free laptop cooler and free mouse. At first they said I don't get them and now Im told I don't get the free mouse only. Also, when I tried to apply my points credit to the upgrade, I was told I couldn't apply that points credit to this order. I was bummed, having to wait so long and paying over $7k I have to deal with all this. I hope you can at least figure out how much I over paid and get credit, and get my laptop to me soon. I'm patient and I haven't lost trust yet, despite many reviews I have read. I like the people I spoke to but it would help to see some good results. Thanks for reading this.

No communication during build. Finally received and asked to trade it in for a lap top, offered me 1/5th of what I payed just a couple months earlier.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that communication didn’t meet your expectations during the build process. Keeping our customers informed at every stage is a priority for us, and we’re actively working on improving that experience through updates to our order tracking and support systems. 📦🔧

Regarding trade-in values: we completely understand how that can be disappointing. Like other technology companies, our trade-in values are based on current market demand, component depreciation, and condition of the system—not the original purchase price. However, we always aim to be as fair and transparent as possible, and we offer a Customer Loyalty & Rewards Program, along with exclusive discounts for military, first responders, healthcare, and education professionals.

If there’s anything unresolved, we’d love to look into it further—please reach out to us at support.xoticpc.com. We’re committed to helping you get the best experience possible with your PC. 💻🙌

Only order if you want to wait for a month

I ordered a laptop that was supposed to be in stock, only to find out later on that they have not yet received those laptops from ASUS. My order was placed on the 21st of June, I paid for a rush build, added only RAM and a SSD heatsink, but 15 days later the laptop is still not shipped. I asked the support team beforehand when it will be ready, since I'm leaving USA and have a deadline to receive it, they assured me it will be send before 3-4 days of writing this review, still is in Q&A phase (since 1st July). Mind you, I ordered the latest Asus ROG Strix ... Absolutely will not recommend them

Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this situation caused—especially with your tight travel deadline. 🙏

While we do our best to reflect accurate inventory status, certain high-demand models—like the latest ASUS ROG Strix series—can occasionally be delayed due to manufacturer supply constraints. We understand how critical timing was in your case, and we regret any assurances made that didn’t reflect the final reality.

We’re continuously improving our communication and tracking systems to provide more accurate updates and avoid these scenarios. It’s also worth noting that all systems go through a multi-point Quality Assurance process to ensure top performance out of the box—but we know that doesn’t make delays any less frustrating.

If your issue is still unresolved, we’d love the opportunity to make things right. Your satisfaction is very important to us.

Mid Pc Build

I like to start off The cable management was poor…and as well i told support i wanted white fans since i picked the wrong color and they gladly said they would change it whenever my pc is in the works but whenever i got it the fans were black.. they essentially lied to me or they must’ve forgotten about it. Now moving on as the graphics card i thought i was gonna get a triple fan gpu not a two fan gpu for the price i paid for only getting a two fan gpu is basically an insult, and like i said in the beginning the cable management was horrific like it was just thrown in there with no zip ties or nothing it was all a mess and you can see the lines that connect into the cpu fans and motherboard as well..This Experience makes me think that buying a $3,960 pc that i built was not worth at all do better next time xotic pc

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—and we sincerely apologize that your system didn’t meet expectations, especially on a premium build like this. We take feedback like yours seriously, and we’re already reviewing this situation internally to see where the breakdown occurred.

Your request for white fans should absolutely have been documented and honored. If that wasn’t done or was missed during assembly, that’s on us—and we’d love the opportunity to make it right. Regarding the GPU, we understand how frustrating it can be when expectations around specs or form factor don’t align. We source components from trusted manufacturers and always aim to match or exceed the model selected based on availability and performance benchmarks. That said, we welcome any conversation to revisit options or explain choices made.

As for the cable management—this is something we normally pride ourselves on. Our systems typically undergo a rigorous QA process that includes cable routing, airflow optimization, and visual inspection. If what you received doesn’t reflect that, we truly want to make it right.

Please reach out directly at support.xoticpc.com so we can review photos, confirm build details, and explore a resolution. We also want to remind you that your system is backed by our Lifetime Parts & Labor Warranty.

We appreciate your business and hope to earn back your confidence.

Shipping policy is simply unworkable

I ordered my PC on May 9th. It did take a little while to build it and ship it, which is not a problem per se as it is a custom made item. The four stars they got taken off happened purely as a result of their shipping policies, believe it or not.

Their website shipping policy is a one-liner that simply deals with when sipping is expected to take place. In reality, they ship via UPS and tracking number, but the caveat is that it can only be shipped to the address you initially provide. You CANNOT hold at a UPS facility or change your address after shipping. What happens next is that UPS sends it back to XOTIC, but then their customer service dep't tried to reship it to the same address, even though I had repeatedly asked them to change the address to my workplace (as that's where I am during the day).

This is a really big problem if you work for a living and don't have anyone to accept the package on your behalf. Currently it is June 10th, and still no computer, and I have an invoice sitting in my email with my home address that cannot be changed. Customer service assures me that they are "closely monitoring the situation."

no delivery date / not possible to change delivery address

I was never given a promised delivery date for my order. Knowing I had to travel abroad for work, I proactively contacted the company twice by email to request a change of delivery address—both times I was completely ignored.

I then called them from Belgium and was told that they do not allow address changes for orders older than two weeks. This policy was never mentioned in our agreement, nor was it anywhere on their website.

The lack of communication, rigid policy enforcement, and failure to support a reasonable and time-sensitive request was deeply disappointing. I would expect better service and transparency from a company handling international shipments.

From UPS: Deliver to a new address. There are shipper based package restrictions. Contact the shipper for details.

Thank you for your honest and thoughtful feedback. We completely understand your frustration—especially when you're excited to receive a custom PC and run into preventable delivery obstacles. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by UPS restrictions and the delay in getting your system into your hands.

You’re absolutely right that our shipping policy could be more transparent regarding UPS’s delivery protocols. For security reasons and fraud protection, UPS restricts changes to shipping addresses or holds once a high-value package has been dispatched. This is especially common with insured electronics, and it’s something we’ve encountered more frequently across the industry. That said, we’re actively working on improving how we communicate these constraints before checkout and in follow-up communication.

We understand that working professionals often need flexible delivery options, and while UPS does limit redirect options, our team should have worked more closely with you to find a smoother resolution—especially after the first return. We truly appreciate your patience, and we’ll continue to monitor this situation closely until the system is safely delivered to you.

Thank you again for choosing XOTIC PC—we’re committed to learning from this and doing better.

My order is taking a while to get here..

So, I need some help. It's been about 10 days (5-12-25, it is now the 22nd) since I ordered my pc and there have been no changes/advancements to get to shipping my order. It's a custom built one that I do expect to take a while but after reading some reviews about how people still haven't gotten their pc and it's been a long time, it's started to make me question whether or not Xotic is truly reliable. I'm giving this review 3 stars because there's no option to just not rate it yet lol

They refused to fix my laptop

Bought a nice beefy gaming laptop from them at around $2k, but this brand new system ran hot running a low-end video game for 5 minutes, hot enough for my hands to feel afraid to touch the keyboard. I reported this to them and they asked me to take metrics with the built-in laptop software running my games, and pictures to prove it, so I did that, proving temperatures were hotter than normal for a brand new machine running standard games, but even ignoring the exact temperature numbers, I didn't want to burn my hands touching the keyboard. The tech support operators agreed with me that these metrics were higher than expected and offered a possible fix with thermal paste to lower CPU temperatures, I replied "Sure, tell me where to send it, I'll ship it there, and do whatever you need to & ship it back to me, I just need the heat problem fixed" That was when they claimed they need to talk to the laptop vendor (Sager) before starting to allow me to ship the laptop for repairs. Then few days went by with no reply, no ETA, not even a ticket number for any of Xotic's calls or emails with the vendor (there was a ticket number with Xotic for my tech support complaint, but that was it). I called them back & was told to wait longer, with some lecture on how great & experienced the boss is, but still no ETA or ticket for calls/emails with vendor, so my confidence in Xotic was quickly eroding, and I wasn't even sure they filed a ticket with the vendor at all. After another few days of radio silence from them, I call again, giving them one more chance for an ETA or ticket or at least a shipping address to "start the repairs" even without authorization from the vendor (I just wanted the problem fixed), and at this point, my laptop is was sitting in a box for a week ready to ship for repairs & going unused because I was afraid to turn it on & risk burning my hands. They blew the last chance I gave them, so I dug up the page on their site for returns & went with that (I was fully prepared to get a lawyer if the return page didn't work), still had to pay $80 to ship for return to them, but they promised to refund the cost of the laptop. I shipped the laptop to them finally, but as a return not a repair. 2 days later I get an email from them asking for more temperature metrics (I already gave them tons of data, more than sufficient, and I guess they didn't realized I started a return, so I simply replied that I started a return 2 days earlier).... I still had to chase them via tech support calls several times in the week that followed before I saw a refund finally (minus the $80 shipping for the return, but I was more afraid of never seeing my $2k ever again at that point). So I got my refund (minus $80), but I'm never buying anything from them again (unless it's an oven, their laptops might make great ovens to cook a panini sandwich).

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience—and we sincerely apologize for the stress and inconvenience it caused. We completely understand how frustrating it is when a high-performance system doesn’t meet expectations, especially when heat concerns affect your ability to comfortably use the machine.

Laptop thermal performance can vary depending on the chassis design and intended workload, and while some gaming systems do naturally run warm under load, it’s clear from your report and photos that this exceeded comfort levels. We appreciate you providing thorough metrics, and we agree that your support experience fell short of our standards—especially around communication and timely follow-up regarding repairs.

When working with laptops from third-party manufacturers like Sager, we do rely on their repair authorization processes, which can unfortunately delay turnaround times. That said, we should have done a better job providing transparency and updates throughout, and we’re using this as a training opportunity for our support staff moving forward.

We’re glad the refund was ultimately processed, though we regret that the experience left you feeling the way it did.

We know we missed the mark in your case, but we appreciate your candid feedback—it helps us grow and improve. If there’s ever anything we can do to earn your trust back down the road, we’d be grateful for the opportunity.

They do not honor the Warranty.

They do not honor the Warranty.

Whole picture:
I bought a Laptop for my Wife. It didn't come with the extra stuff we bought so we had to request those extras to be sent. No biggie.

The laptop was upgraded to some extent as most people tend to do.

One of the drives in the machine disconnects a lot so we ask about getting it fixed, replaced, maybe something sent to us... nope. So, yeah. The Warranty means nothing.

Laptop is fine otherwise. Normal MSI hard case laptop.

Edit: They seemed to reply to my review. My warranty was 3 years. I know when it started because I got the laptop the week of the 4th of July in 2022 and wrote the original review in May of 2025.
Imagine paying for a SSD that doesnt work properly because they didn't mount it properly.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced.

We’re glad to hear the laptop is functioning well overall, but we understand how frustrating it can be when a component—like a drive—doesn’t perform reliably. After reviewing the situation, it appears the request for service came after the warranty period had expired, which limited our ability to offer a covered repair or replacement. We always try to assist wherever possible, even outside of warranty, but in this case, we weren’t able to provide coverage under those terms.

We appreciate you bringing the missing extras to our attention early on and are glad we were able to get those resolved quickly. If there’s anything else we can do to help troubleshoot the drive or offer upgrade advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to support you.

Horrible build time for simple PC

Thier site says 2-4 days to build said pc. It took xotic 8 days for a simple build. Coming from someone who builds and owns a pc company that's very unacceptable. Testing says 1-3 days on the site. It has now been 6 days. I ordered this pc 2 months ago to see how fast and to see the quality of other pc building company's have and I have to say out of the 4 I have ordered from I have 3 pc that have ben built and shipped and arrived before xoitic had even started building mine. Sorry xoitic your at the bottom bud. I would not recommend unless you have time to spare waiting for a pc.

Thank you for your feedback, and we respect your perspective—especially as someone who builds and runs a PC company. We understand that when expectations around timelines aren’t met, it can be frustrating—particularly when comparing multiple vendors.

While our website provides standard estimated timeframes (2–4 days for assembly and 1–3 days for testing), actual timelines can vary based on order volume, specific configurations, component availability, and quality assurance load. We know that doesn’t change your experience, but we do want to clarify that we never cut corners to rush a system out the door. Every build goes through a multi-point inspection and burn-in process to ensure long-term reliability and performance.

We regret that your order didn’t meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to learn from it. If there’s anything we can do to improve your experience further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team directly at support.xoticpc.com.

We take pride in what we build—but we always aim to do better.

Purposely list items in-stock when they are backordered

Items are listed as in-stock when back-ordered, this is common practice for them over years as a similar thing happened a couple years ago. Ordered a product from XoticPC recently and canceled another order that had a better price, I was willing to pay more to get the product sooner. I checked back with support since it didn't get shipped in a timely fashion, and they just tell me it's back-ordered. Their responses sound like this is just common practice for them, they have refused to do anything to accommodate their own mistake which cost me hundreds of dollars. Avoid at all costs, there are much better companies out there that don't have their website setup to turn their customers into adversaries.

hank you for your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration this caused—especially after you chose to order with us over a lower-priced option elsewhere. That trust means a lot, and we regret that the experience didn’t reflect the level of service you expected.

To clarify, the item you ordered was marked as back-ordered at the time of purchase, and we do our best to indicate those stock statuses clearly on the product page and in the cart. That said, we understand that delays—especially when not immediately obvious—can be incredibly frustrating, and it’s clear we could’ve done a better job communicating the status upfront and following up more proactively.

We always aim to provide accurate information before, during, and after the sale, and we never want customers to feel misled or unsupported. While we couldn’t expedite the item due to manufacturer availability, we take full responsibility for how it was handled and are actively working to improve both communication and how backorder messaging appears across the site.

We appreciate your feedback, and we’re sorry we missed the mark this time. If you’d like to continue the conversation, our team is always available at support.xoticpc.com.

This company is terrible, avoid using them. They will say they can expedite your computer, tell you its in stock then it will be months before they send it. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you sharing your concerns. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations around stock availability and build timelines aren’t met—especially when time is a priority.

To clarify, we do not use AI to fabricate reviews or mislead customers. All reviews on our site are submitted by verified buyers, and we welcome both praise and constructive feedback to help us improve. Our team is made up of real people committed to delivering high-performance systems and support with honesty and transparency.

In this case, it sounds like a breakdown in communication occurred around product availability and timeline updates, and for that, we sincerely apologize. While we do offer expedite options and provide estimated build windows, unexpected supply chain delays can impact fulfillment—especially for high-demand models. We know that doesn’t make delays any less frustrating, and we’re actively working on improving how and when we notify customers of changes.

We truly value every customer who trusts us with their build, and we’re sorry we didn’t meet that trust in your case. If there’s anything we can do to revisit your order or make things right, we’re here to help at support.xoticpc.com.

Want a PC with Newly Released Components? - Look Elsewhere

Don't order a PC with new release components if you want your build any time soon. Ordered an expensive custom tower with a 5090 on Februray 10th mainly as i was unable to source parts myself. The ETA on the 5090 was the limiter (Feb-Mar) to delivery. On Mar 1st this ETA updated to Mar-Apr. On Apr 1st they updated again to Apr-May ETA. They clearly do not have reliable suppliers that they can hold accountable for delivery and as such can't give their customers any firm commitments or timeline. Customer service has been both kind and responsive... but I wish they could provide me any actual update rather than hold my cash hostage with a completely indefinite timeline. There is no level of accountability on the commitment provided... if you could even call a blanket 2 month period that blindly pushes out a full month at the 1st of every month a "commitment". I've been following up weekly for over 8 weeks now. Still waiting for any real update on when my build will even start let alone ship.

Update: PC was recieved in early May (after 14 weeks of waiting) . Build is fantastic, but I still dont appreciate the lack of transparency towards timelines. I should also note, their customers service was also kind and responsive, the only issue was the updated they provided gave no information on when it would arrive. Overall satisfied now, but had a horrible time waiting.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—and we sincerely appreciate your patience throughout the process. We're truly sorry for the extended wait and the lack of clear, actionable updates along the way. We completely understand how frustrating it is when you're eager to receive a high-end system and the timeline continues to shift without solid answers.

To clarify for others reading—your order included the RTX 5090, which was clearly marked as a pre-order item at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, as with most new GPU launches, exact ETAs are dictated by manufacturer allocation and global supply logistics, which can vary significantly and without advance notice—even to authorized partners like us. That said, we agree that we could have done better in communicating that uncertainty and we’re actively working on more transparent ways to relay pre-order timelines.

We’re very glad to hear that you’re enjoying your PC and satisfied with the final product—it means a lot to us that our team delivered on build quality and support, even if the journey there was rough.

If you ever need anything down the road—upgrades, trade-ins, or support—don’t hesitate to reach out at support.xoticpc.com. We appreciate your business and hope your system continues to impress for years to come. 💻🔥
