XYZ Printing killed my printer

My 6 year old XYZ da Vinci Jr 1.0 printer worked fine until I was required to download printer and software upgrades. My old software that worked was automatically deleted. When I try to print with the new software, a red banner message says, "printer mismatch, insert SD card." My printer has no SD card slot. I tried emailing, phoning and texting them and no one answered. My printer and expensive printer supplies are now trash.

Con artists

Terrible people. Rip you off for expensive filament. You’re locked into their wallet. Buy elsewhere.

i bought a da vinci 2.0 dual head 3d…

i bought a da vinci 2.0 dual head 3d printer.
it never worked right, only one head would print.
after spending weeks dealing with tech support and getting no real help, they told me to send it back, and pay for the shipping.
this is wrong, there product didn't work, why am I paying for shipping again?
now they have had in there hands for a week and still won't return my money.
if you are looking for a 3d printer do not buy it from xyz printing, find a company that has a real service dept.
very un happy customer.

Poor instructions and software

I recently bought a da Vinci mini w+ and finally got it to work after much Googling to see how to connect it, as the instructions that came with it were out of date and guided me towards software that no longer exists. The XYZ webiste and the info/Help they provide is absolute rubbish.
Even when I got the proper software that XYZ should have mentioned in their instructions I could not get it to connect to my PC as every time I tried to log in (I had registered on the XYZ website) it said there was no internet connection. Strange that, as all 5 of my other devices were connected and working fine. I did another Google search and found that lots of people have the same problem and the fix was to by-pass the login. The printer worked fine after that.
My next issue was trying to use their 3D design software; same issue as before only no way to by-pass the login this time.
The printer itself, once you've worked out how to get it going, works OK but the 3D design software and instructions issues make this a company I would not buy from again.

Over Priced Plastic

Although the printing itself is good and providing you understand the limitation it can be very effective. Operation of the machine is easy going along with the, at first, confusing software.

However, the price of the filament is a blatent move to exploit users by monopolizing its filament so you can only use its over priced (£29+) packs.

This was a present to me so I did not personally choose this printer however if you're looking for one I'd avoid any that force you to use only their over price filament.

Garbage printer, no support, and required terrible software

I bought an xyz printing da Vinci pro 1.0, and it worked ok for a little while and then after about a week I started getting sd card errors. Which either you have to send it back which you can’t get ahold of them at all, or fix it yourself which voids the warranty. After several other issues i gave up and returned it to amazon and bought a cr-10, which is fantastic.
Another point of contention I have is with their required and terrible software that in order to print, it slices it and has to be connected to the printer and fails half the time. You must be connected to the internet and log into their website EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO PRINT!!!! absolute garbage. Nothing about the machine is repairable by you. You can’t swap print nozzles, ($2-10), no, you have to buy a whole new head unit for 100$+, which they claim is modular. I will never give xyz another dollar or buy one of their products.

This 1 Star review is solely based on…

This 1 Star review is solely based on the cartridges XYZ are selling. I have 4 different colours - Blue, Red, White & Black. All bought at the same time and the same places. All of them still have 20-40+ meters of filament left, but my Da Vinci 1, says they are empty. This has got to be the worst form of invisible scam. To try and make us buy more filament, when we actually have a lot left. I will now invest in a resetter, and possibly never buy XZY filament again. There are cheaper solutions and I can simply not support a company who deliberately try to trick us to spend more money. Change my mind.

XYZ 3D PRINTER DA VINCI

I bought my XYZ 3D PRINTER DA VINCI JUNIOR WIFI at power. I have only been able to print the demo model that came with when I bought a printer, it really makes sure that I almost divorce my printer for the clean after each print

Good printers but can't use other filaments

I bought this printer about 2 weeks ago and my first test print was pretty amazing. then i though i want to use other kinds of plastic and see how it does. This was impossible because it had a little chip inside of the filament and this chip was programmed to only use PLA plastic and if i removed the chip it wouldn't print. I was very disappointed not by it's prints they were great but because you have to buy XYZ overpriced plastic.

xyzprinting UK repair company ‪#‎Repairtech‬, Most polite worst service ever…

Here is a story about the service received from #repairtech UK who is the repair centre for xyzprinting, the suppliers of the Da Vinci 3d Printer range. On about the 16th march 2016 my Da Vinci Duo started miss printing on the X axis. I contacted Repairtech (repairtech) to arrange a repair under the warranty and they promptly collected the printer on the 18th of March, now bearing in mind that the only issue was the X axis print quality ( links not allowed for pictures ) and other than that my printer was in mint condition (links not allowed for pictures). They informed me that my printer would take around 7 working days to repair but as this was just before the start of the Easter holiday I didn’t expect my printer to be returned quickly. I then decided that as I had customer orders waiting I needed to buy a second Da Vinci so that I could continue my work. I received a SMS that my printer would be delivered back to me by DPD courier service on 8th April 2016, and yes it arrived. I unboxed my printer only to find all the panels cracked broken or scratched and the whole machine wobbled as if it had been thrown around the delivery room (links not allowed for pictures). I quickly contacted Repairtech to inform them of the condition of my machine, they were very apologetic and arrange for the printer to be collected again, and that was on 11th April 2016, I thought I would mention to the DPD driver about the condition of the machine when they delivered it, and this was his response (if there is no fragile labels on the box, then it not their fault if it gets damage in transit). Well this whole event was very disappointing but I took on the chin, just because things happens that we have no control over. So on the 18th of April my Da Vinci Duo 3d printer got delivered back to me, I unboxed it and great all new panels and not a scratch just the way I sent it out in the first place, now time it was time to get printing (links not allowed for pictures) but sadly the print looked rubbish nothing like the way it should print I emailed some print pictures to Repairtech and they agreed to collect the Printer again to fix the issue. The printer was collected again on the 21st April 2016. I got a call from Repairtech a few days later and they said that there was nothing wrong with the printer and they would be sending it back, I told Repairtech that the printer was not up to scratch and they said they would look at it again. So another SMS saying that my Da Vinci 3d printer would be delivered back on the 5th May 2016, and it was. So once again I unboxed my machine only to find that my Y Axis Steel bars were bent the carriage was off the bearings, just a mess (links not allowed for pictures). I could not believe what I was seeing, of course by now it was just a joke and I was left speechless. I contacted Repairtech once again and again they apologised and arranged for the 3d Printer to be collected on the 6th May 2016. It is now 1st July 2016 (about 55 days including weekends) and I still do not have my Printer back. I have called Repairtech many times only to be told that they are waiting for parts (I suppose they are coming from mars as it is taking so long, does DPD courier not deliver from there?). I have asked that the Owner/Director of Repairtech contact me, but they obviously do not think that their customers are important enough to bother with, as most company directors do. I wanted this write this as a scathing article about the company Repairtech and the circumstances of this whole service claim, I must just add a side note. The Ladies that I have been talking to and or dealing with have been friendly, polite, professional and helpful. But as you know the buck stops at the TOP. So what to do next?
Please check photo links.
I ended up sending this by email to a few support emails of XYZ, and they sent me 2 cartridges as compensation, and my printer arrived yesterday, but I am to scared to take it out the box.... and guess what I took it out the box.. and yes its broken again..
