DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I booked a bouncy castle from Yorkshire Dales Inflatables for my 40th birthday, paying in full via BACS transfer. The payment was confirmed by email, and delivery was scheduled between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the day of the event.

As the delivery window passed with no contact, I tried to reach the company using the phone numbers listed on their website and in previous emails—none of the calls connected. At 12:50 PM, I emailed asking for an update and received a call shortly after saying the delivery van had broken down and that the bouncy castle would be delayed by about 1.5 hours.

When I still hadn’t heard anything by 3:26 PM, I tried calling again with no success. At 4:42 PM, I received another call saying they might be able to deliver after 5:00 PM—by which time the event was almost over. I explained this was too late, and the caller assured me they would arrange a full refund through the office.

I followed up by email with my bank details and attempted to call again the next morning, but my call didn’t go through. After receiving no communication or refund, I filed a small claims court case to recover the payment.

Instead of resolving the issue, I received a threatening email stating that no refund would be processed unless I withdrew the claim. Over a month has now passed, and despite a County Court Judgment (CCJ) being issued against the company, I still have not received my refund.

This has been a deeply disappointing experience — marked by poor communication, failure to deliver, and now a refusal to refund even after legal action. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.
