Excellent confidence builder
It was my 16 year old sons 2nd 30 min lesson. He thought he would not remember the 1st 30 min lesson instruction but once in the car the instructor praised his efforts and he came out glowing with confidence. Will book 1hr lesson next time.
Amazing experience
We bought our son 12 yesr old son a 1hr driving lesson as a Christmas present!! Best purchase as he had the most wonderful experience, the instructor Shane was amazing and he managed to achieve so much in 1hr, he managed to drive and change gears 1-3, reverse, over take, parallel park and do a 3 point turn. He has gained so much confidence and would.love to do it again!! Well worth it!!
Young Driver Lingfield
Venue - Lingfield Race Course - Great venue, selection of vehicles and waiting area with toilets etc., my 12 year old was doing it for the first time and this track is really good for inexperienced drivers. Instructors were friendly and spent time giving feedback at the end. Covered all aspects of first time driving.

I’ve bought 3 one hour sessions and a half an hour session for my son’s 16th birthday.
We went to the Cheshire County Show ground (they usually host the flower show in Cheshire).
On our first visit the signage was very poor and we missed the entry.
When we entered the venue there were lots of potholes in the car park and some on the track. The first experience it wasn’t raining so although it was annoying it wasn’t as noticeable as the second visit.
It had been raining before the second visit and there was mud everywhere and the potholes were worse than ever. They were also all over the tracks. We were late to start which was not our fault the driver over ran with the last child. She was very nice but we didn’t get any extra time back.
We were told that the pot holes were all over the tracks and my son confirmed that it was true.
This affected his driving lesson due to him not being able to pick up speed enough to use his gears properly.
I feel very disappointed as my son hasn’t gotten the experience that he should have.
Cheshire county ground show stated that they will fix the potholes when they have their next show!

So impressive
So impressive! Mark the instructor was brilliant and our son loved it and even told Mark that he's a good instructor. We paid for the in car recording which was brilliant too. Highly recommend and we will be booking relatively regularly.
Grandaughter's birthday present

Amazing for experience prior to road lessons
While I was 16, I had multiple driving lessons at Young Drivers. Found these really beneficial for building my confidence on the road and getting comfortable while driving. I had really great instructors who accommodated the lesson to the way I learn (including Iain, 2 different Andys, Tracie, Robbie, Clive, Anth, Neil, Gary) and couldn’t fault any of them.
Now I’m 17, my instructor has full confidence in me and I find lessons on the real road to be a lot less scary than I anticipated since I’m already used to changing gears, starting the car, driving, reversing, etc. So, I fully recommend getting lessons with Young Drivers for experience.
Autistic son loved it
The instructor was great and in my sons words who has autism she was kind.... great praise coming from him. Check in was easy and efficient and the lesson started on time. Watching his lesson was a little scary as with his autism i knew he could have a meltdown but no such problem. When he got out the car he said he really enjoyed it and we had a good debrief off his instructor. Will definitely book him in again and his sister looks forward to her first lesson.
Fabulous 👌
The staff were all very welcoming & jolly, even though it was chucking it down with rain!
Our son said his instructor made was amazing & encouraging. He's already booked in to go again.

Attended TECA in Aberdeen yesterday…
Attended TECA in Aberdeen yesterday with my 15 year old son, easy to find but no tea/coffee facilities for parents. My son was very excited to have a 1 hour lesson as his very first time being the wheel of a car but he left quiet and deflated with his head hanging and wouldn't speak. I had been watching and had been incredibly frustrated wondering why his car hadn't moved for approx 70% of the lesson!! All the other (much younger and smaller) children were driving around and around whilst my son seemed to be fixed on doing small forward/backwards movements in a corner or reversing in between cones for approx 30% of the lesson with the rest being stationary!!! Little or no driving!!! Turned out the lesson had been very serious and he felt very guilty if any mistakes were made as there was little encouragement, lots of lecturing and he just wanted to get out of TECA and go home. I asked the instructor for feedback which was very minimal and serious and was advised not to expect perfection after a first lesson, he will improve with more lessons!!! There was little or no positive feedback!!! My son had barely driven the car!!! My son doesn't wish to return and neither do I. What a waste of £100 and I am so sad this was a negative first time driving experience for my son. We haven't spoken much about it since as he just wants to forget it happened. He is normally such a happy, enthusiastic boy. I do not recommend!!!!

Excellent idea for young people
What a great experience! This was my son's first driving experience. The instructor (Steve) was professional, friendly and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this company to our friends. It was well organised and definitely worth the money. We will be rebooking soon.
