Job well done
I contacted Your Local Mechanic regarding an oil leak, which I noticed was getting worse on the driveway at home. I found them to be very efficient. Good communication, they kept me well informed as the job progressed, they had to order parts, but even so the job was still completed the same day. I was extremely pleased with the service they provided to me.

Did not turn up, did not answer calls or live chat
Did not turn up, tried calling and contacting via live chat and no response.
Eventually got through to him once and said he would call be back, he never did. Has ignored my calls since and have heard nothing.
I cancelled work to make sure I was in for him, so I have lost a whole day of work, losing money and lost a whole day waiting around.
Terrible service. Would give a zero star review if I could.

Excellent customer service. I took my car into Bridges Garage in Pentraeth, Ynys Mon the day before Christmas Eve. They were very busy, but because I was concerned about my brakes Dave put it straight onto the ramps. Showed me and talked it through (in all my years going to mechanics this has NEVER happened. He dropped me home and returned it the following morning. Professional, efficient, reasonably charged!

Alternator replaced at short notice...
Had an alternator about to pack up on me and working some distance from home and needing the car I had to take a day off work to get it sorted. Having tried a number of the larger usual suspects and local backstreet garages, none of whom could fit me in for the next day or two, I decided to try a mobile mechanic.
This was the first one I tried and got a call back as requested from Elliot within the hour. He was about to travel back from a job some distance away. He gave me a rough eta and turned up on time as promised. Quickly diagnosed the problem and sourced the part at a reasonably price giving me an all-in priced. There were a couple of complications which he sorted at no extra expense and he got me back up and running in a couple of hours. Car now runs like a dream.
Polite, friendly, helpful, explains all and does the job quickly and good to his word.
I cannot fault.

I had a problem with my Saab losing…
I had a problem with my Saab losing power. I called Elliot after reading all the good reviews, he came to my house and immediatley diagnosed a faulty EGR valve, after he replaced it - same problem. I tested the "faulty" valve, it was working as it should. Then he decided it was a faulty DPF, after he replaced it - same problem! It cost me around £600 and I still had the same problem. He refused to come to my house and insisted that I take the car to him knowing that I work full time and its difficult to take time off. I would definitely NOT recommend this guy.

Be wary of cheap parts when paid for…
Be wary of cheap parts when paid for expensive parts on your vehicle! Rude and swore at me when called to question why put cheap parts on car and put phone down when paid for expensive part and refused to give me a receipt. Was told to get parts off vehicle then he would refund what paid. Cross threaded bolts/screws by putting them on too tight had to go elsewhere to remove them and got to replace them as damaged. Wrong lubricant etc used. Call him self a mechanic????Tried to fob me off saying accountant has to refund when that's a load of rubbish soon refunded me when said would go to trading standards.
