I'm doing my best to keep a level head here, but having reviewed what people are saying, it's hard not to be frustrated. Clearly Nuspace are purchasing reviews from parties who have never dealt with them.

Not only have they failed to deliver to their contract, but the lack of professionalism, the rudeness on the part of Graham, the failure to resolve major structural issues on our loft and the all around attitude of the team at Nuspace left me flabbergasted. I honestly don't know how any company can stay afloat with their approach. I can only imagine taking advantage of people who read the positive reviews they have purchased - because based on the workmanship I experienced on my loft, I genuinely don't understand it. Leaks, snags, issues with the electrics. What a bunch of cowboys.

When I first looked at Nuspace, I had looked at their reviews and met the team and thought that they would be both competent and professional. I was sorely disappointed. As a previous reviewer stated, their reviews were incentivised - meanwhile those of us who have negative experiences have to seek them out.

The support and engagement is fantastic - until one signs a contract. At which point, they no longer answer emails, phone calls and when they do finally deliver, it is sadly lacking. I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere, rather than being taken in by this outfit.

We have been offered some wine to write this review. But I’m going to write this as honestly as I can because I scour reviews when planning a project.

We were recommended to Nuspace by a friend who were really happy with their work.
We already had architects plans and all the permissions for our side return extension.
I have to say their team (we had Dave) was simply awesome. The renovation started on 1st September and was completed on the 31st October. This even included cleaning and reusing existing bricks and manipulating some of the interior walls.
Obviously that doesn’t include flooring or the kitchen fitting etc. but the team were super speedy and efficient. They were also very good at helping us to prevent as much dust moving around the house as they could. (We were living onsite and they boxed in the staircase and created a sealed door.)
The building control guy commented that it was one of the best build quality he had seen for a while which was nice to hear.
The one piece of advice I would give is to get EVERYTHING locked down in the contract and double check it. Anything considered to be ‘extra’ such as extra plug sockets are very expensive.
That being said, it was a very reasonable quote and we were really very happy with the whole process. Very low stress.

We used Nuspace to totally remodel our existing loft, and add a pod room to be used as a study. From the outset we were impressed with Jonathan who was extremely helpful in discussing what the options were. We then had a design consultation with the architects and they were generous with their time (and patient) in explaining how it would all look! We then went through planning etc, and again they were available to discuss where we were in the process. Once a date was set we were assigned our contractor Ilie (magnificent) His team were at the house from 0800 until 1700 every single weekday-including during a couple of nasty February storms. Amazingly they got the job done with the 7 weeks they estimated. We also had weekly visits from Nuspace (Victor) who then followed up with photos etc of the progress. All in all it was the best thing we did during lockdown and we are very grateful to the professional, friendly and committed team. Thank you all!

I had a really good experience with Nu Space. They did a great job on our loft conversion and went above and beyond to answer any questions I had throughout the process.

Nuspace did a fantastic job with our loft conversion and L shape kitchen extension last year.

We found their team to be very professional, courteous and thorough from the outset. Absolutely delighted with the end result and wouldn't hesitate from using them again.

Used Nuspace for our kitchen conversion and couldn't be happier with the results. Graham was very thorough from the outset and really understood our vision. Fantastic communication throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very positive experience with the Nuspace team, who we appointed to carry out a dormer conversion in our Chiswick property.

We’re delighted with the overall finish as the work was executed to a very high standard. The builders were very friendly and the met the tight deadlines set to complete the work.

Overall, we’re very pleased with our decision to appoint Nuspace and have already recommended them to our neighbours!

Having used Nuspace in 2017 I am surprised they are still in business.

As most of the comments below state Graham is a good sales man and their price competitive.

Once the contract has been signed - it’s nothing but a bad experience.

The contractors they use are at best cowboys. Nuspace themselves taking no responsibility for, or interest in the works undertaken.

A management fee is payable to Nuspace in advance of any works commencing.

There was no evidence of any proactive management from them during the works except the odd site visit. You are left at the mercy of their contractor.

I like most of the contributors below ended up paying other contractors to rectify works.

Having failed to get Nuspace to taken any interest or responsibility for my complaints or concerns, I had an independent inspector inspect their completed works.

These were described as extremely poor and none compliant.

The electrical installation failed and I was issued with a dangerous installation notification stating there was risk of electrocution.

This was a major issue as the loft extension was being used as a bedroom for my 5 year old daughter.

The new flat roof required replacing as the felt was insufficiently lapped, not dressed in to the brickwork or over the front fascia.

I have preciously commented on trustpilot - but am minded to do so again as I note the positive comment from Nicola Chappell below - she is related to the owner Graham Chappell and also works for him.

Piotr Wojtania is one of the contractors they use.

Please use any other Company - even if they are more expensive. It will work out cheaper in the long run and save you an awful lot of time in trying to get Nuspace to take any interest in your extension.

We have had a terrible experience with Nuspace and I would never use them again. They are just a flashy marketing facade and have no control over the subcontractors they use when things go wrong. The subcontractor, Kostan Cosmas, we got allocated turned out to be especially untrustworthy and when called upon to repair his shoddy work could not be bothered to show up, despite numerous requests for help. The pod room they built turned out to have some serious roof issues and we have now had to pay £10k to replace the entire roof. Nuspace don’t care a thing, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND NEVER USE THEM!!!!!

We recently used nuspace for a dormer loft conversion project and from start to finish, they were excellent. They are experienced, knowledgeable and our project was completed on time. Could not fault any part of the process. Really delighted with everything

We used nuspace for a whole house renovation including a loft conversion, kitchen extension and full basement in Fulham. The architectural standard was second to none. We have enjoyed living In the space and have managed to rent it out at the higher end of the market when we moved away. We stretched our budget to go for the highest standards and the finish was excellent. We are so pleased with the end result. We would highly recommend them for any project your considering.

About to take to court over 90 snagging items and 8 leaks. Just a horrific experience and after years of battling and huge personal cost both financially and emotionally to myself I have now handed over to solicitors fully. Interestingly they have not even responded to my solicitor's last email sent months ago.

I know that they have even had family members give them reviews on Facebook until I called them out on it and it was promptly taken off.

Over 23K out of pocket and counting......The guarantee is worth nothing.

Really good experience with Nuspace. They hire great professionals that are always keen on to advice you.

I used NuSpace for a loft conversion but it had holes in and flooded when it rained. They never came back to fix it despite my calls and emails. I finally spoke to quite a mean-spirited woman in "Senior management" who offered to pay less than half of what was required to rectify the damage and said something along the lines of “I’ll help you if you’re nice.”! Naturally I said no to this, demanding they honour their guarantee. When I realised I wasn’t getting anything and that the stress was overwhelming, I requested the lesser amount in the interests of closure but they ignored my calls and emails. I was left with a damaged loft and a large bill. In hindsight, I was taken in by the glossy website but should have done my research as their review scores are terrible – currently 63% negative on the main review site. I’ve since done some digging and it appears they take in the clients and then farm the work out to contractors for a fee. The lead contractor that did our loft, told us NuSpace takes a 30% cut which, if true, is well above the market standard of 10-15%. This explains why the work is substandard. Please therefore take my word for it – there are many honest builders out there who deserve the work. NuSpace is not one of them.

We are delighted with our new loft extension! Nuspace delivered on time and within budget, we will be using them again when we extend our ground floor next year.

We chose Nu Space to do our loft conversion after speaking to a number of other loft companies. The service was impeccable from start to finish; from the design consultant Jonathan and the architect Maite to the wonderful project manager Roberto Cortina and his excellent team of builders Krys, Michael and Ivan. They were always professional and showed an excellent quality of workmanship and attention to detail. They met all our expectations and we were extremely pleased with the finished product. I would definitely recommend Nu Space and no doubt use their services again.

I am very happy with all the work that Radu has done for me. He was assigned as the contactor from Nuspace to construct my hip to gable loft conversion. Radu was very collaborative from the off with everything he was doing on the conversion and was very efficient at getting the construction done. Along the way he consulted with me so I knew of any complications which may arise on the build and guided me through what he was doing and why. He made suggestions as to how we might improve the project and was happy to go out of his way to make it as good as it could be at his own additional expense and time. I was very happy with that approach and that he was passionate about the project and wanted the best outcome for me as opposed to just getting the job done.

The subcontractors and team he used were equally friendly and helpful and again on the whole they offered additional detail to the project without additional cost. I felt comfortable working with Radu he did an excellent job in all aspects of the work. I asked him to finish off additional bits and he did this without fuss or charging extra to make sure the job was done as well as I wanted.

As for the Nuspace representatives I didn’t have much to do with them after the initial consultation. I saw the PM three times in total but were happy to leave Radu alone to do the project.

I would be very happy to use Radu for other projects I may have in the future and would keenly recommend using him; efficient, trustworthy and collaborative. Not sure if I would use Nuspace again though.

DO NOT USE NU-SPACE. The other reviews really echo our experience of them. I used Nuspace to build a single storey extension (shell only) which should only have taken about 6 weeks to build. The sales man Dale, was excellent but as soon as i gave my deposit it all went very badly wrong . Apart from the sales man, EVERYONE from Nuspace seemed to think it was ok to over charge in the thousands and take way too long to do the build and get anything sorted. Roberto took 3 weeks to organise the 1st meeting and was useless. Even when you talk to the "management " you still don't get anywhere as they don't have a clue. The assistant management would just forget that I've been contacting her twice a day. Awful company . Had to sack them a couple of weeks into the build (7 weeks into contract). They give builders a bad name .

We had a loft conversion and reconfigurations to our kitchen with underfloor heating in 2017. Initially Nuspace appeared professional and polite so we chose to go ahead with them. Unfortunately this has turned out to be a 3 year nightmare with problems with every bit of work they did. I’ll start with the kitchen.
From the outset there were problems with the flooring. The grouting kept lifting and the floor tiles were regrouted 3 times but it didn’t solve the problem. Nuspace told us it was not their problem and must be our sewage system leaking. They informed us the subcontractors they had used had left the country and it was no longer anything to do with them. We had independent damp surveys to attempt to locate the problem but by then it was so extensive we had to go through our insurance as the floor tiles had lifted completely and damp was saturating our walls. Nuspace refused to acknowledge us and did not answer emails during this period of time. We had to move in to rented accommodation for 6 months while the kitchen and floor was ripped out to find the leak. They found that the none of the plumbing piping had been done properly and the damp proof membrane had been removed. All due to appalling workmanship. The catalogue of problems are too extensive to list and our insurance company couldn’t believe it.
Unfortunately the problems extend to the roof and loft conversion which started off as a small damp patch we didn’t notice until water was pouring down the walls. Again Nuspace refused to take any responsibility or accountability. Nicola and Roberto deserve a special mention as being completely dismissive and unhelpful and then totally ignoring us after taking our money.
In essence if you want good workmanship with an ethical reliable company DO NOT USE NUSPACE.
We have insurance proof and photographs to support everything in this post. There is nothing we can do except prevent others going through the stress and upheaval we have.
