Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 151 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complain about poor product quality, noting that items often arrive broken, defective, or begin falling apart after a very short time of normal use. Buyers also experience extremely frustrating delivery delays, missing packages, and unhelpful customer service when trying to resolve all these serious issues. Though some customers encountered major problems, a small group of reviewers were happy with their smooth deliveries and cozy items. These people specifically praised helpful delivery drivers who kindly assisted with heavy furniture and genuinely appreciated the nice decor pieces they purchased.

ZARA HOME SPAIN | a Mickey Mouse operation

Zara is a global key brand, right? Hmm...

Wow. What an unpleasant rollercoaster of a week.

I made a big online order (29/04) for furniture to be delivered to Valencia and 10 days later the goods are still nowhere to be seen. Neither the carrier, GOITECH, nor Zara have offered an explanation or estimated delivery dates. Some of the daily chats I have had with Zara customer service agents are worthy of a Kafka novel.

Apparently if one asks when the delivery might arrive, after having chased the delivery every single day that week it qualifies as a new incident and needs to restart the whole process.

I have been using Zara's chat and Whatsapp customer services all week with various promises of fast tracking my request to higher management, getting a phone call within 24 hours etc, and here I am on a Friday, none the wiser (original delivery was scheduled for Monday but didn't show, no warning or explanations).

I am returning to the UK tomorrow and have been told I can request a cancellation but the money will only be refunded once the goods are returned to Zara by the carrier. The one nobody can get in touch with or get a delivery date from!

Will I see my goods or my money soon? Is that even legal?

To be continued!

ALERT! Dangerous ingredients.

ALERT! Their aromatic candles contain: 2-(2-Hidroxi-5-terc-octilfenil)benzotriazol - which is known for damaging the liver and disruption of the hormone system. Especially in candles as it was never intended to burn.

Nonexistent customer service

I ordered something online and drove over an hour to return it to the store (I read online I could do this), but when I got there I was told they couldn't return it and I needed to reach out to customer service by email. I emailed customer service and called multiple times, but I have not heard back. I will never shop with Zara Home again.

Extremely Dissatisfied with Zara Home and Evri in the UK

I ordered several culinary items from Zara Home in the UK four weeks ago, but unfortunately, they have not been delivered yet. Zara Home informed me that my parcel would be sent through Evri. However, when I track the delivery, it consistently states that the driver is not available and will attempt delivery the next working day. This message has been unchanged for the past four weeks!

I have raised two complaints with Zara Home. The first was through their website help form, where I received an acknowledgment promising a response within a few days, but I have yet to receive any reply. The second time, I chatted with a representative on their website, who apologized for the inconvenience and assured me that the issue would be resolved as soon as possible. Weeks have passed, and I have heard nothing further from them.

I am extremely dissatisfied with both Zara Home and Evri in the UK. Their lack of communication and failure to resolve the issue is unacceptable.

Terrible service, impossible to speak to someone about mis-sold items and lack of delivery.

I ordered two Zara bedside tables. One was delivered - one never appeared. I was told by Evri that it was returned to sender though someone was in the property. However Zara say there isn't another one. So they mis-sold me two bedside tables. Obviously I want a pair as will look odd. Trying to speak to someone at customer service is impossible - only contact via what's app which seems to be only monitored by AI - so just standardised responses - no actual proper replies to questions. Hugely frustrating and time wasting. How sad as the bedside table is really nice and my daughter is devastated. Still hoping a second table will be delivered. Will update this review if I get any more response/feedback.

Absolutely terrible service from Zara…

Absolutely terrible service from Zara Home. I placed a large order and was told in the Paris store that they didn’t know when the delivery would happen. In the end, the entire delivery is delayed by three weeks just because of one single item. Zara Home refuses to issue a instant refund (I need to wait unpredictable amount of time) or split the order into two shipments to speed things up.

Customer service says one thing, the store says another — no one takes responsibility, and all they do is waste your time. Absolutely unacceptable for a brand like this.

Disappointed with declining quality and return policy

I’ve been shopping at ZARA HOME for years and always loved their aesthetic. However, I’ve noticed a decline in product quality recently. My latest order arrived with visible color inconsistencies that were not shown in the product photos — yet customer service insisted this wasn’t a defect and refused to cover the return shipping.

In the past, ZARA HOME provided return labels for defective items, but this time I was left with no support and had to bear the cost myself. I was told the issue would be escalated, but I never heard back — just a final refusal to help.

This experience has made me rethink ordering anything large or expensive from them again. When the risk of defects is real and the return costs are high, it’s just not worth it. I truly hope ZARA HOME improves both the quality control and the way they handle legitimate customer concerns.

2x Faulty replacements, a joke

I ordered a very high end shelf as a bad side table, I think they just call it furniture on the website. Well rather than having any structural integrity, it was glued together like a 6th grade science project - broke the first time I tried to move it.
I have since ordered a replacement twice, but each replacement was worse than the version that came before it - scuffs, cracks, structurally unsound, poor finishes.
Either, they get a lot of returns for the same problem and try to upcycle them with a low quality patch (explaining my two faulty replacements) or they are a genuine scam, do not spend your money here. I will be chasing for a full refund and I'll take my custom elsewhere.

Do not order large items or furniture…

Do not order large items or furniture with Zara Home. They use the worst courier service in the UK (Evri) and give incorrect delivery times which has resulted in me taking 2 days off work waiting for courier that has not arrived. Impossible to speak to a human as Zara home use bots only; impossible to get answers on delivery as Evri are also all bots. Paying £15.99 for delivery that does not arrive on allocated day and is impossible to track is unacceptable!

Zara Home delivery

Zara Home Portugal shops and staff are fabulous. Online ordering is good. The delivery carrier they use is absolutely appalling. A rug never turned up and my current order is already a week late.
Update… the lamp never turned up and after many phone calls, online chat and a visit to the store I was finally issued with a gift card approximately a month after I placed the order.

HORRIBLE service

HORRIBLE service. I ordered a lamp last week and it arrived with a missing part and I arranged with Zara customer care for a replacement order. The replacement arrived and was missing the same part. I now have contacted Zara twice to return the lamps, but now DHL will collect the lamps separately (they will pick up the two lamps in two visits) and I have to struggle with DHL to arrange for the collection of the two lamps. I will never order from Zara home again

Zara Home is only for stay-at-homes

On 23rd March we received a delivery from Evri (i know, one's heart sinks...).

It was addressed to us, but on looking at the little yellow lable we could see an ilustration of a bench.

Not the standard lamp and shade we'd bought.
We opened the carboard box suffiently to confirm that it did indeed contain and bench.

Subsequently we had two other deliveries: the standard lamp and a table lamp version of the same design.
We decided to keep the latter, buy a pair to it, and return the standard lamp.

To save costs and to avoid having to wait in for more than two days (Zara contract UPS to do collections and they will only give a window of 24-48 hours), we requested that both the other customer's bench and the standard lamp be collected at the same time.

Zara Home call centre told us this would be done.

By great good luck and since we had had no notification from UPS, we happened to be home yesterday afternoon having been out all day. The UPS guy said he was here to collect a package waving his docket.
We told him there were two packages.
He said he could only take the one he'd got the authorisation for.
We failed to persuade him otherwise.
So he took the standard lamp but not the bench.
This morning I phoned Zara.
I argued the toss with their call centre person about their failure to issue UPS with two dockets and thus requiring a new collection and potentially having to wait in for another two days because that's their contract with UPS. And apparently UPS will only try three times.
Not sure what happens then...
The Zara Hom rep said that two dockets had been issued to UPS, but that they'd only given one to their driver.
I explained that we were trying to help them fix the other customer's problem and had given their £299 bench house room for eight days, but that Zara Home weren't reciprocating.
I explained that at my day rate it simply wasn't worth wasting billable hours waiting in for two days for UPS to arrive.
Eventually I told their rep that if they didn't sort out the collection and call me back by 4pm today to confirm a fixed day and time and I'd be putting the boxed up bench on the pavement with a note offering it to anyone who wanted to take it away.
Their rep hung up on me - don't blame her.

The door bell rang at 14.37 today and the same UPS guy from yesterday was standing there with a docket to collect the bench. Which he did.

I had received no phone call from Zara Home.

The moral of this story is to think three times before you buy something from Zara Home if there's any chance you might want to return it. Life's too short.

I ordered a glass vase from Zara Home…

I ordered a glass vase from Zara Home that looked nice online but when it arrived, it was shattered inside the box that had FRAGILE written all over it. It was wrapped in one thin sheet of tissue paper. Not bubble wrap, not even cardboard padding. I emailed them with photos, and they replied once asking for more info, then ghosted me completely. It’s been 3 weeks now...

As a freelancer who likes keeping my space nice, I’ve honestly been impressed with Zara Home.
Their stuff just has that clean, classy vibe and it is affordable which is always a win. I ordered a few pieces for my bedroom and kitchen, and everything showed up on time and looked just like it did online.
If you’re into simple, stylish home things that feel a little elevated, Zara Home is definitely worth a look.

The quality is AWFUL. Every item has a defect.

I see a lot of the customer experience reviews here but nobody talking about how absolutely terrible the quality and construction of their products are. Especially for the price. They are just REALLY GOOD at photographing their products.

Purchased a pasta strainer, within a month the entire thing started to chip pieces of enamel away. Its entire purpose it to be put in with boiling water and it fails to to it's basic task?

Purchased curtain hanging rod, looked nice but the quality and construction is awful, it doesn't even work well since it has plastic bits that prevent the curtain to even move.

Got a beautiful wooden clothing drying rack. It broke in one WEEK. The wood and construction is absolutely abhorrent.

Applique lamp started to RUST inside in a dry place after two months. I mean you can't make this up.

For the prices their charge they should be investigated by the BBB for fraud.
