I just had to cancel a gig and am trying to cancel a order for a wireless headset system because of false advertising, a kind of bait and Switch by ZZounds online ordering which is costing in lost wages and reputations and having to pay for gear I won't be able to use now. I was Told I had been approve to purchase a Mackie Showbow portable PA system and there would be no credit check. This was stated repetitively on over a dozen times that I rechecked while looking up other gear and finalizing the gig. When I went to pay all of the sudden the offer had change to me paying a large first payment to get the original monthly rate. I thought well, that's a bait and switch, but then it offered a high monthly rate with no large first month payment. I agree, enter my info including my card info, recieve email confirmation with order number, tracking info and payment confirmation. a few days later I was ordering some other gear for gig and went to check my balance when I notice that it was the same as before I placed my ZZounds order, I checked my order to see it had been canceled. After finally getting to a supervising he admitted that my order had probably been rejected because they can't perform a credit check on a Cash App payment, The fact that I was told that I was approve and there would be no credit check was all BS,. He argued that it wasn't a bait and Switch, I argued that it Was
. All I know is that I'm screwed and after a decade of giving tZZounds business including three high in Resonators and a banjo, none of which were cheap, I will give no more.

Ordered a $1200 cymbal pack....They sent me the wrong one...long story short...I sent it back, they would not refund me because there were fingerprints on the cymbals, like WTF...Im not supposed to check out what they sent me??

I've purchased several items from zZsounds over the past 4 years. The payment plan is ideal. The application fee of $19.95 is a bummer but everything still works out well at the end. I've never had an issue with their service and for their delivery/shipping I've received my items within 2 business days. My most recent purchase was delivered in 1 day (Thursday - Saturday) but I am in Queens, NY and they are located in They're also good on communication.
I'll be making more purchases from zZsounds as long as I produce music.

The negative reviews are suspect to me. I've bought $7000 worth of gear in the past 2 years from Zzounds.com and not 1 problem! Because of this company I am now the gear snob I always knew I could be. They said yes when the others said no and my musical journey has forever been altered in the best way imaginable. It's inspiring just to look at my Gibson SG among others. I love zzounds.com and I'll scream it from a mountain top! I will always buy my gear from them, they are second to none!

Went to zzounds to purchase a guitar they had in stock that was being discontinued. I wanted to take advantage of their financing options to make the purchase of my guitar simple. Boy was I mistaken. I went through the process of checking out, everything seemed to go smoothly, my order was placed. Received an email that my order was placed, thought nothing of it. A few hours later i receive another email the orders been cancelled. I message into their customer service and I’m told “oh it looks like an error try it again.”I place my order again same issue, I’m told to try again, so for a third time I try. Boom order is cancelled, this time I call into their customer service and I’m told the order now is flagged and I cannot use their financing for the foreseeable future. I know it’s not my credit score that’s the issue, so what’s the problem? The orders been attempted too many times and has now banned me from their financial system with no way of over turning it. The customer service rep informed me that I could still do a cash transaction, ummm hello of if I wanted to use cash don’t you think I would have done that first you walnut. Anyway paid cash for the guitar at guitar center everything went smoothly and had my guitar within 36 hours. Lost a customer who purchases a new guitar a month basically as I review and collect them.

A few days ago I bought a PRS S2 Standard guitar from this page in the "blemished" section and in the images it looked very normal and clean. Today when I received it I received an item with paint alterations in various parts of the body, with a repair of what seemed to be a blow near the output jack and they tried to paint it, on the front part of the body another black paint stain that covers almost half the body of the guitar since it is white which makes it more evident. Another crack in the union of the neck with the body.
The worst thing is that I sent it to my international mailbox in Miami since I am out of the country and it arrived at my house in Colombia. I have no way to return it and I have lost my money. I recommend refraining from buying from this poor quality store that not only speaks badly of the United States but also of the degradation of service and experience so that I will never buy from you again. You are liars and you should withdraw from the industry.

I really don’t wanna write this review because this company is nice enough to offer a pretty good finance program but I have a massive problem with the Akai live 2 I bought that has the toxic chemical Diisononyl phthalate in it. For (1) it’s against the law, not to disclose this chemical and it’s not in the description For (2) It made me sick within 2-3 hours after it being in my house. Headache, coughing, mild seizures, swollen red eyes and throwing up. I sent multiple emails through out the night because I want everything in writing. (3) they don’t seem to be understanding the gravity of the situation, they offered me a normal refund which we are way past point of And they don’t seem to be making me a priority in their emails what so ever. This company broke the law when they didn’t disclose this certain chemical, I have it all on video. If I owned a company and sold something that was making people sick, I would be getting down to the bottom of the situation ASAP and doing whatever it took to make things right this company doesn’t seem to care at all. I could honestly use some help and possibly a lawyer.

Just bought an amp for the first time purchasing from them. I was unsatisfied with the amp so I filed a return same day I received it. Needless to say the $100 came out of my pocket for shipping it back with no help from them. Not worth the risk purchasing from them. No wonder they have you fill out a review before you get your purchase.

There shipping is F'd up everytime!!! They advertise 2 day shipping wich us really 5 day. I just ordered $1,800 purchase and am sending it back as soon as it is delivered. I have been a customer of 11 yrs and will not buy from them again because shipping is ALWAYS A PAIN IN THE ASS.

Ordered early on Dec. 6th. Delivery promised (at time of order) on 7th for extra $2 or receive on Dec. 9th. That was OK. ZZounds email notification that order was shipped on the 6th. Good. As of 11th USPS still didn't have it so called. Double-speak from CS rep including if I had paid the extra $2 would have had it on the 9th. Have checked all tracking. USPS didn't have my order until the 12th. Received after I needed it on 14th. Item OK so 2 stars. CS stinks.

i ordered the DDJ-GRV6 from zzounds as a "opened box/minor cosmetic(blemished)" the box arrived empty with packing paper. the bottom of the box had been opened and resealed with clear packing tape. my mom watched a fedex driver take longer than usual pulling the box from the van. she watched them place the item against the garage and take a picture of it.

I have been using the pay as you play plan for 5 years and have purchased thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I have always been pretty happy with the service but today I feel like I've been scammed a little bit. I received an email letting me know my monthly payment was declined. I have never missed a payment and had over 1000.00 in the bank. I went online and made my payment manually with the same card. It was approved right away. They then also removed my payment on their end double charging me. They refuse to do anything to make it right. I would not have payed manually had I not received their email. I will never do business with them again. It's too bad because it has always been great.

I HAVE BEEN BUYING EQUIPMENT FROM zZOUNDS FOR FOR 30 MONTHS AND I HAVE ONLY HAD A ISSUE WITH 1PEICE OR THAT I DIDNT LIKE WHAT EVER TROUBLE IT WAS Anyway, I sent the old one back. I bought a few items from zZounds.com. A RANE MKll for $899, PIONEERE DJM-S5 for $839, and a backordered AKAI MPC lT for $699. The RANE and the PINONEERE came seperate due to the AKAI MPC being backorder. I always click sign on delivery. Once it had been the alloted time for the back order and I still hadn't received the AKAI MPC I called to tell them I have not received it but yet I was I was being charged the monthly payment for it. They told me to wait a little longer to see if it comes in. After another month and my other two items already paid off in full. I called them again to tell them I'm continuing to be charged $186 a month for the AKAI MPC that has not shown up. I tried multiple attempts to have the payments stop or have them send me the item with nothing but run arounds and hang ups. I called their shipping company they use, they could not locate a picture or confirmation that it was sent and or delivered. I have now received a letter saying FINAL NOTICE and that I need to pay them one more payment of $186 or they will send it to collections. I still have NOT received the AKAI MPC. I once again call them and their response is there is nothing they can do and I have to pay for the item I NEVER received or they will put it in collections.
I received and paid in full for the two other items with no issue on my end... why would I not pay for the 3rd item.. this company not only did not send me my item but continously took $186 out of my bank account monthly and still wants me to pay more.
HORRIBLE Company do not spend your money here. Complete rip off!!!!
