Skibidi Toilets review

This company is excellent and Great! I love the amazing fireplaces that come from here very good quality and definitely recommend buying from here. There is also a cute dog that sometimes appears out of the blue! but its a very cute dog and don't mind it if you see it.

A word of caution

As with many other reviews here, we’ve had a bad experience with Wyvern in Dorchester. Very slow to get the burner installed, but we were very happy once fitted, and to be fair, the installer was polite and tidy. But after a year we started to have problems with the unit. Wyvern told us to get the flue swept before anyone would come to have a look. We did that. Still got the problem. The installer has failed three appointments to come and look at it and has now stopped replying to texts. Wyvern don’t employ their own installers and don’t seem really bothered about any after-sales service. They get annoyed on the phone when we’ve asked for some action. As a result we’ve gone direct to the manufacturer who are helping us out. But it will soon be three months over the winter without the stove functioning. Be wary if you buy from Wyvern - I’ve seen lots of good reviews, to be fair, but the more recent (negative) ones mirror our experience.

Do not waste your time going to this place!!…

Showroom not inviting from outside and even worse inside! Entrance up steep rough concrete steps with primitive handrail Scruffy door which was difficult to open. Greeted by surly woman clutching a dog in her arms. Showroom was in a mess with boxes all around. Orange plastic bucket in middle of the floor just where we were trying to stand to see a fire. No apology from woman or prior warning to take extra care even though I had said on entering showroom that I was poorly sighted. Fires demonstrated with the attitude that we were being a nuisance in wanting this service. No sales technique or enthusiasm to help us select a fire. We left, determined never to return

Still waiting for a refund a year later.

Our fireplace was given to a local rogue installer who refused to give it back for 3 months, delaying the process and causing undue stress and difficulties.
In addition to this, we have requested a refund many many times over the course of an entire year for an expensive, double-walled flue that was returned to Wyvern by the new, more trusted Installer. No refund was ever received for this and all emails have been ignored up until this date despite phone calls saying it would be sorted.

Wyvern have just replaced our inset gas…

Wyvern have just replaced our inset gas fire, the stone fireplace had to be modified with the slips being changed, from start to finish the whole job was completed in 2 days and looks like it’s never been touched as the replacement parts are such a good match. Absolutely delighted with both their service and the work carried out.

Wyvern who sold me my wood burner

Wyvern who sold me my wood burner, surround and hearth at over 3K don't employee their own installers and use various HETAS engineers who don't represent the company. If you have a problem like I did after the install Wyvern just wash their hands of all responsibility and you'll struggle to get anywhere with the engineer. Be warned, pay the extra and use a company who have their own installers and will take responsibility for the job after completion. Wyvern are very happy to take your money but offer no compensation, resolution and don't really care when things don't go as expected - BE WARNED!

We visited the showroom and then waited…

We visited the showroom and then waited and waited and despite a couple of emails saying we wanted to get moving as soon as possible it took 10 days to get a response we could have had on day 1 . Anyway rang Gazco in Yeovil so quick and efficient and took us through all out options in one call . Job done . That’s what I call service

We apologise that you found the service to be slow, unfortunately due to the difficult times with COVID and the school holidays we have been experiencing longer than usual response times. Sometimes members of our warehouse or factory teams have had to step in and assist the front of house team, which had occurred when you visited the showroom.

The fitters are self employed and would usually be the ones to visit a property to carry out surveys and take measurements, but they are on a 3 to 4 week lead time. We did understand that you have your own Electrician who was going to be carrying out the works, and so would be taking the measurements for us to be able to advise on appropriate products.

We are glad to hear that you have found a suitable fire from another company.

Great advice in Dorchester

We received great advice from Will in the Dorchester showroom which made the choice of a wood burner very easy. He also recommended an expert installer and we are very pleased with the result.

Very Pleased With Our Fire & Surround

We have recently bought a gas fire & surround from Wyvern Fireplaces at Yeovil. The product is excellent quality & value for money, the staff in the shop were helpful & kept us informed of progress. The fitters were great & did an excellent job, the finished result looks fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend this company if you are looking for fires / surrounds

Would highly recommend …

Just had our new fireplace and fire fitted this week. It has by far exceeded our expectations we are thrilled with it. I couldn’t fault Wyvern (Yeovil) from beginning to end. Patrick in the showroom was so knowledgeable and helpful, Ian called several times after placing our order to keep us informed of progress and confirm installation date. The fitters (Paul and Vince) arrived as planned, did a great job, very respectful, made sure everything in the room was covered to keep dust to a minimum and cleared up after themselves. I would highly recommend Wyvern.

I had a very good experience with…

I had a very good experience with Wyvern. I was given help with the choice of fire, and selected a new model, with which I am very pleased. The gas fitters worked long and hard on a difficult installation - my old cottage has a bent chimney and they had not fitted this new model before. It looks and works wonderfully well.

A very poor experience

A very poor experience, after sales is pretty much non existent. We bought a fairly expensive modern style wood burner from this company and having taken our money did pretty much nothing else. It took them over six months to get a contractor to install the fire and they only did this because we reached the point where we wanted the money back. In hindsight it would have been better for us had we done so. The work of the installers cannot be faulted but the service we received from Wyvern was so poor I would suggest anyone thinking of using them should go elsewhere.

The fire had not been in use for a year when the air regulator broke off so I went back to Wyvern to see what they could do. I was assured that they would get in touch with the manufacturer and resolve the fault. They did no such thing. After a month I went back to Wyvern to chase up the repair. I was told that the company’s agent for the area had not responded to them but they would chase it up again. This was a lie, they didn’t. Having lost confidence in Wyvern I went to the company direct. I had a response from Contura fires within a couple of hours, they hadn’t heard of Wyvern fires and nobody had been in touch with them. Within a day of receiving pictures of the fault they had sent out the replacement part with detailed instructions on fitting.

Wyvern fires may come across as very nice and polite on first impression but a more useless and incompetent company you will struggle to find. Shoddy and untrustworthy.

Will (a member of our sales team) had been trying to contact our old Contura Rep to get this issue sorted for you. Unfortunately the Rep who we used to deal with is no longer part of that company, and owing to the fact we are no longer the dealer in the area for Contura we did not know this information.
Due to COVID and recently returning from being closed due to the Lockdown, our response times have sadly been longer than usual.

Again, we are deeply sorry but are glad to hear that you have resolved the issue.

After a slow start to our project due to a shoddy fitter, the team at Wyvern really pulled it out the bag, especially Nathan who listened and could not do enough to help us. His excellent customer service and attention to detail ensured he allocated our job to his best guy, Jonny Oehler, who was the friendliest and hard working tradesman we have encountered for a long time. The end result is superb and we could not be happier. The wood burner has turned our house into a home and to have it squeezed in before Christmas was nothing short of a miracle by Nathan and Jonny. We would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to our friends and family and would like to express a massive thank you for all the hard work and excellent customer service in making this an enjoyable experience. Thanks Guys.

Highly Recommended!

We are thrilled to bits with our new fireplace and wood burner! Nathan was incredibly helpful, listened carefully to what we were looking for and went the extra mile to ensure we made the right choice. Really high quality products and excellent customer service. Nathan also made a follow up call to make sure we were happy with everything.
Our friendly installer, Jonny, did such a brilliant job! His meticulous attention to detail and beautiful brickwork meant that the final result was superb. He left everything pristine too!

Excellent service and experience

We have recently purchased and installed a Charnwood Island ll multi fuel almond Stove. We are absolutely delighted with the finished product. Jonny who designed and built and installed our costume designed fireplace was an absolute super star! His attention to detail, design ideas and perfect precision was flawless. All the tradesman that helped along the way were all fabulous, in fact we took their details for future projects and will absolutely use Jonny again for his creative and design ideas along with his impeccable support and service.

We couldn’t be happier with everyone that was involved making our dream fireplace a reality. Nathan and Will at Wyvern were really helpful and supportive and we couldn’t recommend them enough to future customers.

VERY HELPFUL IN THE CHOICES

VERY HELPFUL IN THE CHOICES, SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR A GAS BURNER STOVE BOTH AT THE SHOWROOM AND BY THE INSTALLER POST HOME VISIT. THE APPLIANCE WAS INSTALLED BY TWO VERY EXPERIENCED AND CAPABLE TECHNICIANS. VERY PLEASED WITH THE TOTAL PURCHASE AND FITTING PROCEDURE.
