Good hotel. Great staffs. Access to the city is very easy. Quiet environment.
Great location if you arrive by car. Very easy to get to Amsterdam centers through public transport. Staff very friendly but not invasive.
Easy to stay and to enjoy
I loved the hotel very nice location well kept friendly staff
I have stayed at this hotel previously and had no issues, which makes this recent experience even more disappointing.
The room was not up to the standard advertised. The bedding was dirty on arrival, and there were numerous holes and marks on the walls. We also noticed a dirty mark around the sink area, the floor had not been cleaned properly, and the carpet was lifting in places, making the room feel poorly maintained.
When we raised our concerns with reception, the male staff member we spoke to was rude and unhelpful. We requested a room change, but this was refused. Instead, we were offered replacement bed linen. Unfortunately, when we changed the beds ourselves, we found that the replacement linen was also dirty and stained in several places. The towels provided were dirty as well.
Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the room were unacceptable, and the customer service we received did nothing to resolve the situation. Having stayed here before and enjoyed previous visits, this experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend the hotel based on this visit.
As a solo traveller my stay was perfect. A quiet 2nd floor room to the rear was clean, quiet and comfortable…..air-con worked very well too.
Check-in was efficient and quick as was checking-out. Staff at all times were professional, friendly and willing to help if required.
I have stayed here 4 times now and really recommend a stay if you want a hotel that’s within a reasonable budget, near to Centraal Stn, has great transport links and is in and amongst the nightlife in that part of the city.
The hotel isn't exactly central, but it's easy to reach the city center by public transport. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. A great experience.
The fact that my phone fell accidentely down the basement and the employe told us that the janitor who has the head key will be able to open the door and in the morning another employe tells à different story about a maneger decision to bring elevator people to go down the basement and i have to pay 245 euros??? TOTAL SCANDAL! You maybe want to ask as who work in Scandinavia hotell about customer service! Why should customers pay for things they did not do intentionally? If someones foot got stack there would you charge them 245 euros before calling an ambulance? If a child dropped something by accident would you charge the parents 245 euros? If i destroyed or sabotaged the hotel then feel free to charge but not when things happen accidentally!!! That showed you look for all ways to charge customers. Even other guests were shocked like me to hear that i had to pay🚮
Very good and helpful staff! Very good transportation to the center and airport. Spacious rooms fortunately with new bathrooms. I think the problem was poor cleaning all over the hotel! Poor quality of breakfast too!
It was fine, although they didn't wash the mugs above the coffee machine in our room, and didn't provide slippers right away and we had to ask for them.
The location was great, very close to a tram/bus station.
The staff was competent, and they had plenty of snacks in the vending machines in the hall.

The cleaning was disgraceful, we were on the very top floor which you had to travel up many stairs since there wasn’t actually a lift to our specific area. There was mold on the walls, paint job was awful, everytime we had a shower the whole floor would flood because there was a slope for the water to go into the drain. The cleaner didn’t even bother making our beds properly, our bin wasn’t emptied, there was stains on the bed sheets and the curtains. The light flickered constantly, one of the light switches just didn’t work. The smell of smoke out in the hallway was very strong as well.
The staff for very pleasant and we had no issues with them at all, they were very helpful.
As this was my first holiday away by myself with my best friend. It was a horrible experience in the hotel itself.

Very nice stay, rooms were clean, parking was very easy and enough empty places for parking. On the top tram station is hardly 50 meter, staff was very friendly, we had enough options for breakfast also
Overall, i enjoyed my stay

The room was moldy and smelled awfull. I reported it to the manager of the hotel and she said I would get refunded for the stay, 5 weeks later and still no word from them, I would never go there again

The hotel room was fine, but the cleaner is not doing their job well. When they clean the bed, they throw my pyjamas to the floor. And the most RIDICULOUS is that they placed the rubbish bag with rubbish in it from the toilet into one of our luggage??? I don’t know what is the purpose of doing this but this make my stay unpleasant

It was the worst experience I have ever had. The hotel staff are so rude and disrespectful. The hotel is full of esc**rts and pimps who rent rooms in full view of hotel management and continue their work from the hotel. I feel absolutely no safe. The police also keep coming in and out due to violent situations.
It was the hotel XO hotels:
Hotel Artemis

Nice hotel in great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Did not take part in the breakfast. The only issue we had was that our room had no reading lights at the bed.

The hotel was very good, the location is perfect, good transportation and accesability. We have enjoyed the good breakfest very much. The reception staff was very helpfull and very nice.
I have only two feedbacks:
1. The room was not cleaned for 2 days consequtive. We mostly wanted to change the towels. I called reception and some body gave us towels but the dirty remain.
2. The room was very hot. I belive that AC vent are wrongly placee and not really cool the room. In adition the shower was heated . We have informed the reception who bring down the heat in the bathroom.

The best hotel in Amsterdam, near Arena and Metro. You can dining in Ikea 100 meters from the hotel.

The room was pretty, but room number 206 view is awfull, only a small Window where you can see just roof.. Feeling you are staying in cleaning closet.
The breakfast wasn't anything special. Porridge was not served. The rooms were cleaned well.

I’d been to this hotel twice before over the last 15 years, when it was called ‘The Tulip’ and whilst I knew this wasn’t a ‘premier’ hotel as-such, I thought this was a good place to bring my daughter and her best friend due to the cost of accommodation (and locality) in Amsterdam. I’d noted during booking that the hotel had been taken over by the ‘XO’ franchise and assumed that the hotel had improved. During our previous visits, there’d been no breakfast on offer but since it was taken over by ‘XO’, there was indeed breakfast. I thought it was a win-win.
I’d booked a triple room after checking out the website and seen the views of the rooms. ….
However, upon arriving, the man on reception was rather un-welcoming and told me to check-in using the machine. We had 3 huge (and heavy) suitcases, with 3 smaller bags. Our room was number 321 and this was at the ‘TOP’ of the hotel with part of the way round a tiny steep spiral staircase. I appreciate equality and all that, but I had absolutely no help what-so-ever trying to even find the room (through-out the maze of corridors and stairs) let alone carrying three heavy suitcases and got kids and hand luggage around these stairs. I was less than enthusiastic by the time we were finally in our room. When I say ‘room’…… it was actually more like a bit of a hovel.
We were obviously in the loft conversion area of the hotel and granted whilst it was a ‘triple’ room, it wasn’t quite what I’d expected and certainly not what I’d booked after seeing the pictures of the rooms online.
The room wasn’t spotlessly clean, there had been something splashed up against the wall, a huge hole in another part of the wall, dust and old sweets left under the bed. There was a few broken mobile-phone cables left across the floor which hadn’t been put in the bin. There were lights which didn’t work and no bedside lamp for the twin beds.
This was (for me) looking like rather a budget hotel (from my initial impressions) and certainly not from my positive experiences from ‘The Tulip’.
The bathroom however (was the most tiniest of bathrooms!) but was indeed spotless and (finding out the next morning) had an excellent shower.
Upon the first evening, the noise outside the hotel was unbelievable. There was no chance whatsoever of any sort of sleep without earbuds in. Locality was excellent but a decent nights sleep, absolutely not.
The breakfast the following morning wasn’t great …. so much so that we had breakfast on the Damrak on the second day.
It was a good job we were only there for 2 nights. Had we been staying any longer, I’d have tried to go elsewhere and I will certainly not be staying here ever again. I’d paid almost 700Euros for 2 nights and I don’t think this was worth the cost. Apologies for the poor review, but I feel this hotel has gone terribly downhill.

Our room had cobwebs, shower was leaking. There were ear plugs from a previous guest between the bed. The bed cushions were stained. Like the could have been washed. The carpets looked like they need to be deep cleaned.. the receptionist, didn't want to be there. He was so unwelcoming.
