IS THE MUCH-PROMOTED X-ONE A PIECE OF CHINESE JUNK ?

I bought one from you - having seen the youtube video and trusted your pitch. I have used it for only one local call. Otherwise I charge it, when it the battery runs down. I've had it for about 10 months but kept it in my safe. For two weeks it responded to chargng, and I made one call. Today, I charged it from right-down, but it refuses to re-charge, and - when the power corde was connected I saw about three flashes come from it - just light - but nothing more. I has been in my safe for all this time, and have only taken it out for charging, occasionally, before putting it back into the safe. It has its own leather case., I am a National Newpaper Tabloid Journalist and I have worked with long-known Colleagues Clive Entwistle and Roger Cooke from BBC TV Watchdog. Please investigate. You can contact me on 020 8578 4731 I am very disappointed and feel stupid, since I can only think I have been cheated ?

Ordered an X-0ne about a year ago

Ordered an X-0ne about a year ago. Indeed, it says "powered by Oukitel". After setting it up, I found the only thing I could do was phone calls - it would not connect to my wifi, even if a foot away from the modem. I demanded a refund and sent it back to China for "repairs". A few weeks later, I got a refund. then a few months after that, I received my package back from China, with the phone in it. Since then I had changed my wifi (Now with Teksavvy, and with a Google Nest mesh wifi), so the wifi connection works fine. But many of the other complaints in this list of reviews are indeed valid. Can't use a compass app. Sound very weak. Bad reception in a car with bluetooth.

Phone arrived just before Xmas 2019.
Simply did not work on mobile network.
They agreed to refund the amount paid.
Still waiting for a refund.
Be very wary of dealing with these people.

I bought this phone last year and was seriously ripped off. The phone is very poor quality and is not a xone phone but an oukitel cheap and nasty. What ever you do dont buy it . The camera is rubbish and so is the sound. You live and learn everyday and i have vowed never to buy from China again !!

I am actualy getting on ok with my xone? oukitel whatever. I am very suspicious buying anything and am very rarely 'scammed'
The reason I was open to being scammed was my reluctance to pay the rip-off prices by Apple and Co. for a smartphone.
Before someone nocks my spelling, this is a product review.
I believe all these previus review's and am just keeping my fingers crossed for my phone.

I purchased 2 of the X-One

I purchased 2 of the X-One. It is a re-branded Oukitel C16.
- There is a noticeable delay between entering a phone number to call and a dial tone. (This might be a Rogers carrier problem);
- The phone often doesn't ring for an incoming phone call. It doesn't vibrate either;
- Answering a call is either by swiping up on the screen or clicking on the Accept/Decline buttons. Swiping up only works 10% of the time and the calls go tom voice-mail. The Accept/Decline works fine. (This might be an Android problem);
- The camera is not good but what do you expect for $200?
- It does not like being kept in one's back pocket. I wrote off one phone with a badly cracked screen. Good thing I bought 2!
- I had to set the phone in developer mode to get USB tethering to work consistently;
- The finger-print reader works well sometimes but claims the reader is dirty 90% of the time. The facial recognition works very well

NOT AUST NETWORK COMPATIBLE

Like many others, two friends and I decided to purchase 3, Xone phones having seen the website hype. I made the purchase on Jan 9 via PayPal.(thank goodness)
After undertaking much deeper research and seeing this was likely to be a scam, I requested a full refund and after contacting PayPal received a refund on Jan 12.
Imagine my amusement when on Jan 22 I received an email to say my order (or at least part of my order of 2 phones) had been dispatched!
I thought this must be a mistake, having had my refund so deleted the email. Today, 20 Feb, I found two packages in my post box containing 2 Xone phones (aka Oukitel C16 pro). I then spent some hours charging, updating and attempting to connect one of them only to discover they were not compatible with Australian Networks!
I could send and receive sms and mms messages but couldn’t make phone calls.
Sadly an exercise in futility.

Avoid dealing with this company

I have also gone with one star because it is not possible to give zero Stars.
Like so many others here, I fell for the slick advertising and ordered a "Xone Phone" from xone-phone.com after reading various glowing reviews on gadgetniche.com and other websites. This was to be a Christmas present.
After paying £152, I received several emails from hyperstech.com telling me that my new Xone phone was on its way and it duly arrived in a smart box labelled 'Xone Phone' and was wrapped up. After Christmas the box was opened to reveal an Oukitel Phone and a label saying "Xone Phone - Powered by Oukitel". Once the phone was powered on and checked out it revealed itself to be an Oukitel C16 Pro, which is available on Amazon for £74.99.
I contacted the company and told them that they had supplied the wrong item and they replied to tell me they had supplied goods as advertised. After several emails where they kept on claiming that the C16 was the same product as they had advertised they did say that if I returned the 'unused' item to them, at my own expense, then they would check it and refund my money. I then suggested that they refund me first and I would then return the phone. Despite my repeated demonstrations that it was a totally different product, they continued to assure me that the phone they had sent was the same one advertised but 'in order to keep the order' they would offer me a maximum of 10% discount.
At this point I had become bored of their refusal to accept that the Oukitel C16 Pro is not what they advertised and decided the simplest thing was to cut my losses and take the 10% which was then refunded to my Paypal account.
I advise anyone considering this "Xone Phone" to reconsider and to not deal with this company. The only genuine Xone product that you will receive is the cardboard box.

I only gave this company one star as it would not let me give them a zero. This is a scam. Avoid at all costs. The phone is NOT as advertised, but is a Oukitel C16. Basically a repackaged cheap phone that could be purchased for a fraction of the price. They also will not reimburse you. They sell fake goods and steal money. Do not fall for this scam. They will not refund you either. I have been trying now for 3 months.

PLEASE AVOID

xone phone

I bought an xone mobile phone from a company called hyperstech who I have discovered, come from latvia. Instead of an xone phone as advertised for £157.82.instead I got a OUKITEL C16 Smartphone,
Which can be had from amazon for £55.99. I tried to get a refund from them, but after numerous e-mails telling me different excuses from them,I contacted paypal who I paid for it by. They got involved and after a week or so I was told to send it back to an address paypal gave me. after about 2 weeks later I was reimbursed my£157.82. Only downside was it cost me £16 to post it back.
This company should be prosecuted.

Its a SCAM, don't buy anything from this company

Its a SCAM. Got a Oukitel C16, Pro, not the XonePhone I was promised. Also got a bad excuse "We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

This is to inform you that we have sent you the phone which we advertised and the X Phone which you have received is powered by OUKITEL.

We want to inform you that each model has distinct specifications and features from another model" Stay away from this company.

Had my X one phone for just 1 day and it…

Had my X one phone for 1 day and it is no where near as good as my 9 year old iPhone 4. iPhone has better features and is more reliable. X One phone is a "phoney". Save your money people. I tried to put a couple of features on it like my iPhone has (compass and speed camera apps) and neither of them work. I tried various compass apps but the phone has missing components to allow the compass to rotate. I will revert to the iPhone 4.

Plonker0207

Further research into this X One phone from Hypertech led me to a tech web page on how to deal with issues with the phone and I found it useful in my particular case, called techbone.net. I hope this is useful to others as well.
