I just purchased an xTool F2 Ultra and AP2. I am a complete newbie to laser tools. I did the tutorials then I started exploring the laser in priority order of how I will actually use it. Being a metalsmith I started with Engraving. Did test arrays, and started getting used to the workflow. Then I did some deep embossing. Had to learn about SVG files, STL files, what they do and how to convert them. So far I'm getting reasonable results and i haven't had to contact xtool for support. The Studio software is pretty easy to learn. And the downloadable projects are an easy way to just make stuff right away without too much fuss. Even though I was really dreading the learning curve, it has been quite enjoyable. The tool itself seems very solid. It's pretty quiet. Unboxing and setup is easy. Now I am going to learn how to cut metal... keep your fingers crossed

I have been using xTool equipment for my small laser engraving business and have been very impressed with the quality and capabilities. I started with the P2 CO₂ laser and later added the F1 Ultra with the conveyor, rotary attachments and air purifier.
The P2 has been excellent for cutting and engraving wood projects, while the F1 Ultra has taken our business to another level with fast metal engraving, detailed customization and the ability to engrave products live at events. The machines feel well built, produce professional results and give us the flexibility to create everything from layered wood designs to personalized knives, cups and customer-provided items.
xTool Studio is straightforward to use and continues to improve. There is definitely a learning curve with advanced settings and different materials, but the available resources and community support make it manageable. Overall, xTool has provided reliable equipment that has helped us expand what we can offer through G&M Laser Engraving & More. I would confidently recommend xTool to anyone serious about starting or growing a laser engraving business. Would love to part of the test team!

I have been very Impressed with the M2. I just abouve have the engraving on Leather down. Still have some work to do on Metal and Rotary. The Inkjet is amazing. All in all its a good start to my business and will be a great stepping stone for great things to come.
I have both the S1 40W and the IR I believe 2w and the M2 10W and ink printer unit. We got the S1 first to elevate the branding on our whipped tallow containers (engrave cork) and have since branched out and are making tons of slate engraved items, wooden Christmas ornaments, product displays for items etc. We have not used the IR much. Tried it on a belt buckle but the engraving didn’t survive the forge. We didn’t really expect it to but wanted to try. It did do a nice job engraving the curved blank; so it does well with normal usage. We added the M2 as I wanted to change our soap packaging. I use muslin bags and print directly on them. I’m honestly very impressed with the M2 for the money. I didn’t think it would be able to quality the S1 provides engraving the slate but I was happily mistaken, it is a little slower but does a fantastic job. I’ve used it to cut paper and wood as well. I prefer the S1 with the honeycomb for the wood but the M2 doesn’t disappoint just has more staining / smoke marks without the honeycomb comb. It comes with little plastic risers but I don’t find them very useful. Overall very impressed with both machines and probably purchasing on of the CO2 in the near future and something more specific for metal after that. My only reason for decreasing to four stars rather than five as I have found the software not super user-friendly that being said, I’m definitely not up-to-date on all the computer stuff. We are going to upgrade the actual computer and see if that doesn’t fix some of the lagging issues. I wish they had more videos on “this is how you…” you can find some on YouTube but it takes digging sometimes. They might have these videos and I just haven’t found them easily. I also wish the tutorials were easier to find again. We just got the M2 and it had three different tutorial options. I selected one and at the end of it the other two were gone. It would’ve been nice to have the option do all three just to make sure I truly understood how that particular machine worked. I know there’s a lot of projects and Attom. It would be nice if either there or somewhere in their own software, there were tutorials with video how to, not just very brief written instructions.
As of today I have 6 xTool Lasers and I have only had one problem with one of the and they replaced it fast. All the laser I have do great jobs for what each one is designed for. They are built sturdy and will last a long time if well maintained. I do a lot of wood and slate work with the ones I have and my newest one I'll be doing a lot of crystal and metal work. XTool is the only laser I'll buy, I find them very reliable.
1 Star – Premium Product Price, Disappointing Customer Support
I made a significant investment in an xTool F2 Ultra with the conveyor system for my business. Like many small business owners, I took money out of my savings because I believed I was purchasing a premium machine backed by reliable customer support.
Unfortunately, shortly after receiving the machine, the IR (fiber) laser failed. It worked for approximately five minutes while I was testing it on a piece of rusted metal. Halfway through the engraving, it suddenly stopped working and has not functioned since. The diode laser still operates, but the IR laser—which was one of the primary reasons I purchased this machine—is unusable.
As a result, I now have customer orders that I cannot fulfill. Every day this issue remains unresolved affects my business, my income, and my reputation with my customers.
Since discovering the problem, I have spoken with four different customer service representatives. Every conversation has ended the same way: “We’ll follow up.” I have repeatedly asked to speak with someone who has the authority to make a decision or resolve the issue immediately, but each representative has told me they have to forward my case to someone else and that I will be contacted later.
For a company selling machines that cost thousands of dollars, this level of customer support is extremely disappointing. I understand that defects can happen with any manufacturer. What matters is how the company responds when they do. Instead of receiving immediate assistance or being connected with someone empowered to resolve the issue, I have experienced repeated delays and handoffs.
One of the most frustrating aspects has been not being able to speak directly with a decision-maker. When your business depends on equipment like this, “we’ll follow up” is not a solution.
Support Ticket ID: 1089025
If anyone from xTool is reading this, I am asking that my case be reviewed and resolved as soon as possible. I invested thousands of dollars in this machine because I believed it would be a reliable tool for my business. Right now, I have customer orders I cannot complete because the IR laser failed almost immediately after I received it. I would greatly appreciate a prompt resolution so I can get my business back up and running.
Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend purchasing from xTool if dependable after-sale customer support is important to you. I genuinely hope they improve their support process because no business owner who invests this much money should be left waiting while their business is put on hold.

I’ve been using the xTool S1 20W every single day since I got it, and honestly, if I hadn’t bought it as a refurbished unit, I never would have known. It arrived in pristine condition and has worked flawlessly from day one.
I’m currently using it for everything from wood to metal. What really stood out to me was the learning curve—it’s significantly lower than I expected. Between xTool’s own guides and the active community, I was up and running in no time. Customer service has also been great throughout the process. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get into laser crafting.
I bought the xtool metal fab and honestly its amazing. The packaging and care take to protect it is 5 stars alone. I've been using laser engraver for a year and the software xtool has is incredible. Very user friendly and easy to pick up. Setup takes some time by yourself but also very easy. This machine cuts through steel like butter. I use the compressor that xtool sells because its more cost effective than using a co2 tank. I haven't tried out the welder yet but I have used the max clean attachme t and it removes paint and rust down to bare metal just like the videos show. I make alot of custom signs and address signs with it. Honestly a 5 star machine. I plan to get an xtool p3 sometime in the future because of how amazing their machines are and how great customer service is.
Below is my old review. They were a bit overwhelmed with demand but I was contacted by Ada in customer service. He was great. He took good care of me and I am a very happy customer. The machine came in and I LOVE IT. I am actually going to buy the metal fab as well.
I will write a thoughtful essay about the importance of xTool innovation in the creative industries!
Without getting into any specific detail regarding the shipping dates and etc.. I’d like to talk about the way xTool has consistently been a proactive partner in efficiently solving a wide range of customer service issues quickly and to my betterment. You helped me figure out serious problems with F1-Ultra and updated my software and making sure I was taken care of.
What I personally see as important in this kind of symbiotic partnership to stay sustainable, over the long term growth of my vision and methods I count on.. invest in!!
So what I am saying is that for all these things to work and stay healthy, i need accountability. We all do! It’s the key to everything in business. So xTool has been 100% accountable and has actively engaged with me to solve real issues that affect my life profoundly!
I want to add that through your creative innovation, you’ve made it possible for me and many other full time creative professionals to enter the DTF world and the engraving and metal working world! I am seeing that you have a F2 Ultra with a MOPA!! Omg!!! Awesome! The New CNC metal cutter system is incredible too!!
This is the stuff we need!!!
You are really improving the way I work and my whole life has changed since I discovered what I can achieve with your high end solutions!!
The point is this.. you opened doors for me that were locked till now! That is a profound gift you have given all of us dedicated craftsmen!
To me it’s a big deal!! It’s my dreams manifest to artifacts that will tell the story of my life long after my life on earth is over!
Blanco was very helpful, courteous and responsive to my issue. I received my P2 on 1/19/24 and am very pleased with the accuracy and speed of this machine. Also, the software is very intuitive. I do my designs in Autocad, convert .dwg files to .dxf and open in Creative Space without any issues. I am ordering an F1 so I can engrave on metal.
