I gave 1 star because zero stars is not even an option!
I can not begin to put to words the absolutely horrific service we received from this company.
After our Umrah plans got cancelled due to COVID this company became almost impossible to deal with in order for us to get our money refunded. After weeks of going back and forth with agents outside of the UK who were near to useless, my father finally managed to get hold of the number for the ‘main man’. It was an agonising 9 months for my father who is a retired pensioner to get back the £6000 that was owed to him. The excuses from Mr Main Man were endless. The ignored calls, dismissed texts, whatsapp messages that were seen but left ignored. And when he would call my father back it was always to just brush him off with another excuse. Eventually, when things got beyond tolerable for my father, I took over. My communication with this man made me see truly how rude and disrespectful he is. After returning the owed amount to my father in instalments (each one that had to be continuously chased for by my father), when it came to the final remaining £1000- this man decides to keep an ‘admin fee’ of £350. Something which was never in all the communication my father had with him mentioned by him. From the beginning he continuously assured my father that he would receive his full amount back. Taking dishonesty to a whole new height with his preposterous customer service.
I would also like to clarify here that I have been in contact with the Ministry of Hajj and was informed that all pilgrims were to be refunded their money back IN FULL with NO admin or service charges being taken by the agents.
I wish to let the management of Ya Hajji know that I will be reporting you to the Ministry of Hajj, to the Consumers Ombudsman Service, to ATOL and to the Civil Aviation Authority. Your sheer attitude towards a vulnerable pensioner simply asking for what was owed to him was DISGUSTING.
Finally, know that Allah was witness to every conversation and everything that unfolded between you and my father. You will answer for it on yawm al Qiyamah. May Allah the All-Seeing, All-Hearing, judge accordingly and withhold His barakah from your business if this is the way you deal with those whom entrust their hard earns savings with you with the sole intention to visit the House of Allah.
I'm not one to write negative reviews unless my experience has been exceptionally bad or good.
My father bought tickets for umrah pre covid, however due to the pandemic our umrah trip got cancelled.
Since March till now November, we have struggled to get back our money. Initially it was difficult to get in contact with someone who could actually help. Finally we managed to speak to one of the manager and numerous back and forth contact was made which felt like a hopeless task.
On one occasion Ya Hajji had claimed that the hajj ministry had held our monies, which was false as we had contacted them and stated no monies was ever held back by the ministry. There were numerous other excuses (lies?) As to why our monies was not being given back.
We have now managed to get most of the money after several months, which honestly is appalling.
Now £400 is being held back from us and being kept as admin cost, a claim plucked from thin air.
I have kept all correspondences should Ya Hajji claim I am making a false allegation.
Avoid this dishonest company like the plague.
Booked Umrah with them and I can highly recommend Yahajji. They have given me the best package price along with a great service. Will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family and use them again for future travels!
I'm happy to say that these guys offer very competitive prices and their service is very good too. They also have UK based office in Whitechapel. I like the fact that you can choose your hotels and they will arrange everything into a nice package.
