started looking at this YECTOR projector after seeing a glowing recommendation for this brand I’d never heard of on BESTMODERN.org - which placed it 1st place (suspicious?) above Sony, Epson, BenQ…

thankfully found these reviews so dug a little deeper on BESTMODERN.org

turns out there’s not much review content there at all - it doesn’t take much poking to find that it’s Chinese but purporting to be English (prices I see are in GBP), none of the social links work.

It is not as described, it is not fully mobile and Bluetooth compatible and therefore is misrepresented . It is not easy to use, it is cheap quality.

This is a Chinese supplier who wants you to pay for the return and customs before they will decide of you have a refund.

Do not buy from this company. Bought a projector for £136 really, really poor qualty, no built in apps, poor image, dosen't even connect to my phone. I can't return it as they have no returns policy because they are based in China...feel completly robbed

The website looks good but that's it. No item ever sent, I paid £138 and probably lost my money.
From reading other reviews it seems like a Chinese company ripping people off!

Another similar bad experience. Do not buy from this Chinese company. Poor quality product and terrible customer service-hidden international return requirements (return to China but a Uk return address, which they claim to be only a logistic centre and all parcels sent to the UK will be lost and they take no responsibility although I have proof that the parcel has been delivered to the UK address).

Company are based in china pretending to be a UK company, claim to offer a refund and I am yet to receive said refund I spent 138£ and another 30£ on shipping back to china they asked for tracking I sent them tracking was tracked and delivered over a month ago and no reply no refund. The company is a scam, I tried to cancel my order before it was sent. And was told I could return it for a refund when it arrived they proceeded to offer me 20£ off the item rather than me send it back and told me it would be too expensive to send back and would take too long it cost 30£ and a week to be delivered back to their warehouse in china. I was willing to wait I just wanted my money back I didn’t even open the item when it arrived here just sent it straight back in original packaging. I have received no refund and no response from Yector UK.

Wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. Do not use this company. Placed my order on 27th October and still not received it. To be honest I no longer think it will arrive. Contact with “customer service” sporadic at best and unhelpful. Repeated tracking information sent(on my request) in Chinese.
So disappointed because website looked professional and product appeared to be just what I wanted.

Do not buy!! These are Chinese scum scammers that sell you rubbish and make it impossible to getting your money back!! Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing!

Do not buy one of these projectors, poor quality and really terrible customer service. If you want to return you have to send to china and sort all the customs and tax even though shipped from somewhere in UK.

Scammed. A product was sent - but it doesnt work and cost £180. this was from what seemed to be a legitimate website, I had no reason to doubt it. Sent from Express in Dunstable. Absolutley no contact details for the supplier at all. What can I do?

Same as other people. Picture quality is awful. I told them i have the original packaging and asked if I could return it for a refund and am offered 10% instead.

Product was sent to me from Dunstable in the UK. They want me to send it back to THEIR supplier in China before they will issue a refund. I'm certain that doesn't comply with UK consumer rights.

They also show a fake Trustpilot score of 4.5 stars on the product page of their website.

Going to take this up with my bank and perhaps Action Fraud or the Financial Ombudsman

I don’t need to repeat what has been said already. Clearly a scam. Can trustpilot please do something about the fact that they list themselves as 5 stars!

I HAVE REPORTED THE WEBSITE TO THE NATIONAL CYBER SECURITY CENTRE. Awful customer service, same experience with trying to return, offering 10% discount as too much hassle to return to China. Stopped responding to my email after I quoted their 90 days return policy. I'm gutted as lost £150 on bad quality cheap piece of c... Although I managed eventually to send it back, I'm still waiting to receive my refund. It's been now 3 weeks since the product was returned and received. I guess I will never see my money. THEY ARE THIEVES!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Product was really loud, got really hot and had terrible picture quality.

I requested a refund and got told it was too much hassle for the supplier to return to china, so they offered me 10% refund and told me to gift it to my family or friends.

Not UK based, not a good product, DO NOT BUY!

Yector has a ".co.uk" website, but this is misleading - the product ships from China. The product works, but is not particularly good quality, with buggy software and a very sparse user manual. The fan is also quite loud. I have found that it does not work with Google Pixel phones - not a fault of the projector, but this is because Google doesn't support the usual Android screen casting options - the seller should make it clear on the website that Google Pixel is not supported. I contacted support, who did respond, but do not seem to understand this issue. If you must buy this projector, it is available under different brand names, often at a lower price. I would not recommend.

Ordered product , wanted to return it under 90 day warrenty. Guess what no response. Buyer beware
