I received my first box at 50% off
I received my first box at 50% off, the value was obviously good at this price. I regularly order Gousto and Hello Fresh boxes and I wanted to try this to see how it compared. Yes Chef is like Hello Fresh's infant brother, with Gousto being the best of the three. I didn't like how some items were packaged and that nothing had expiry dates on. Portion sizes were reasonably sized and the chicken breasts were larger than what you'd receive with G or HF boxes, which was a positive. The quality of the meat was good, however the diced chicken thigh had lots of fat, which I chopped off and in the process found 3 bone fragments. I can appreciate this can happen but luckily I found them prior to cooking. I'd give Yes Chef 5/10, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend them, but I wouldn't dismiss them either.

First meal cooked
First meal cooked. Bacon Jam Burgers with smoked cheese. Fantastic. Me and the boy had them tonight and he voted them 7.5 out of 10 and trust me for his 12yrs he knows good food and that’s a real compliment.

Delicious hand cooked fresh ingredient pies
I did buy all variety of small hand cooked pies
at discount price £3.00 each and have tasted a couple of them. They are very delicious and I would highly recommend them. Full of home cooked fresh wholesome ingredients. Excellent

Our Customer Service Team contacted you on Saturday, we did send out your box to our courier DPD but unfortunately we have no control on what happens from there in distribution centres, I can confirm we have fully refunded your box and contacted DPD to inform them that they have lost us a valued customer.
We very rarely have problems with DPD which is why we use them, its just unfortunate that you were effected, we can only apologise.

Great food and great to c the times for delivery was on the dot to what I was given overall 9/10 will be recommending to family and friends only used yeschef once and can only be 10-10 if they change the menu up a bit from time to time because if not could get a bit boring

I had a bad experience on my first order one of wine bag burst in the box when It was opened everything was soaking and all the spices was wet. And yes I did realise the mistakes from your side with the mince beef send wrong.

A one time box as a gift to break boredom of lockdown
Delivery was so well organized with regular updates and a specific time. It was well packaged. The recipes made big portions, and were simple to follow, allowing the correct prep and cooking time. I ordered a one time box to break the boredom of lockdown for my parents. It was very reasonable and by all counts delicious.

All high risk items for the fridge are kept in the silver freezer bags with the ice packs, the store cupboard ingredients and veg are in the brown bags.

Had our third box this week and have now subscribed to weekly boxes. Recipe cards easy to follow, more exciting recipes than Hello Fresh. Really fresh ingredients, always packaged really well. Can't rate them highly enough!

Nice recipes and good ingredients. I can see that they're really trying. My constructive criticisms would be that some recipe steps and photos are missing, there was a lot of food left over and so a family deal for two adults and two children would be beneficial, it would be good to have how many of your 5 a day are included in a recipe, it would be good to have more of your 5 a day in each recipe, it would be better to do as HelloFresh and Gousto do and have smaller paper bags that will easily fit into the cupboard, and separate the ingredients in the boxes so that all the fresh goods can easily be put in the fridge and the other bits and bobs go straight into the cupboard

What a disappointment
What a disappointment.
Ordered 4 meals for 4 people, plenty of food received, but....
Ingredients missing, ingredients starting to go off (and furry). Box delivered wrong way up so bell peppers were split thanks to heavy cans sat on top of them. Recipe cards in my opinion are incomplete.
Customer service OK, gave me a partial refund. So glad I hadn't paid full price for this box, will NOT be ordering again, not worth the money.
Shame :-(
