Do not buy from here

Do not buy from here! I ordered 2 items from them one took several weeks to arrive the second one never did. I’ve sent email after email and no reply! No contact number either! Scammers!!!!!!!

I just wanted to clear a few things up. Firstly, we would never knowingly ignore a customer’s emails. As a small business, customer service is incredibly important to us and unanswered emails only lead to unhappy customers and situations like this. If we haven’t responded, it’s possible your emails have been caught by our spam filters or haven’t reached us, and for that I sincerely apologise.

Secondly, many of our products are made to order. If your order included one of our glass chopping boards or another made-to-order item, our processing time can be up to 7 working days before dispatch. We appreciate this can feel like a long wait in a world of next-day delivery, so we do our best to communicate this clearly across our website before purchase.

We’re also very aware that sometimes mistakes happen. When they do, we work hard to put them right as quickly as possible. Recently we sent a customer the wrong board by mistake. We apologised, sent the correct board within 24 hours and told them to keep the original one. We always try to treat customers the way we would want to be treated ourselves.

Finally, we’ve been trading for over four years, have hundreds of happy customers. Thousands of our products are in customers’ homes around the world. We are a genuine small business and certainly not scammers.

Please send us a message on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok at @yililouk and I’ll personally look into your order for you. I’m suggesting social media because I don’t want to risk another email potentially being blocked. Please be assured we’ll either send out what was missing or arrange a refund as quickly as possible, whichever you prefer.

Stunning Chopping Boards

A lovely company

Brilliant quality chopping boards, just what I was looking for! Had a bit of issue with my order but this was resolved very quickly. Fab communication, very quick to respond to emails. Highly recommend. Thank you!

i ordered a custom made emoji cushion…

i ordered a custom made emoji cushion 60cm, first the website didnt show the option, so i emailed in, they said i could wait for the website to change (when?) or order from the website and email the changes and pay extra, which i did. the cushion was apparently dispatched after 2 weeks and a tracking code sent through which never tracked anything, apparently the order never made it from the business to royal mail or got lost in transport(Very Fishy) it got lost, i emailed back, they refunded the amount, but to wait 4 weeks for nothing, no point ordering from here as its hit and miss and you probably will never have the order delivered, bad experience that has left a bad taste

Unfortunately, Royal Mail later confirmed that the parcel was lost in transit, which is sadly outside of our control.

When you contacted us, we apologised and refunded you in full as requested. While we understand how frustrating it is to wait and then not receive your item, we did everything we could to resolve the situation as quickly as possible once the issue was reported.

We always strive for every order to reach our customers safely, and while delivery losses are very rare, we completely appreciate the inconvenience this caused you.

Packaging was great and secure.
I can’t thank you enough I am absolutely thrilled. I ordered my items in well enough time just in case there was a delay as I know these are hand made.

I purchased from yililo mulitiple…

I purchased from yililo mulitiple times. Their home decor and everything they sell is absolutely gorgeous and of a high standard. Some things are made to order and some are being imported which understandably takes time and there is a disclaimer in regards to this on the website. I never had issues with customer services, deliveries or my purchases in fact I am very grateful for such a lovely service

Cutest mugs 🍒

I've had the cutest mugs and chopping boards from Yililo and I adore them. I would recommend this shop not just because they find the cutest homewares but also they make their own chopping boards which I love. A great shop and an even greater shop owner ✨️

The cutest unique pieces, LOVE!!!

Absolutely LOVE this site, such great, clever, unique pieces (I’ve never been one to follow the crowd), I even picked up a super early Christmas present (a turntable inspired chopping board for my vinyl mad Dad) 😊
Got a discount on the glass chopping boards AND free delivery, (that arrived quickly).

Beautiful chopping board

Beautiful chopping board. Did wait a few days for dispatch but this is understandable being a small business hand making each item. Owner is lovely and replied to my messages when I asked about dispatch time etc. would definitely order from here again.

Scammers

Ordered a glass, put the discount code I got for 10% off for first order - this didn't work. Regardless, I went to the next screen which showed me the glass I'd put in my basket. It said, 'do you want to add this to your basket' - which I thought odd, so I clicked yes and the website checked itself out (I think this is because I was logged into the 'shop' app). I then realised that they'd added two glasses to the order! Why would it ask if I wanted another glass before checkout??

So I was scammed into ordering two glasses. I contacted them to cancel my order - they ignored me. Then when they finally answered me they said they'd refunded the order. This is two weeks later and I still have no refund.

Do not use this company - they are scammers.

You attempted to place an order below the minimum amount required to qualify for a discount. Despite being informed of this (I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS - I have the transcript of the conversation) you continued with the process and accidentally submitted your order (I didn't accidentally submit, the website forced the submit - no 'check your order before you check out - it went straight to check out).

Our upsell app—commonly used in e-commerce—then offered you a discount on an additional item, which you chose to accept, leading to the second glass being added to your order. (This is a trick - designed to make customers order more than they wanted and hope the hassle is too much (in this case, exactly that) to bother with going through your awful customer services to redress this.

When you contacted us, we did not ignore your request. (My initial contact was completely ignored and you know this is true. You only responded the next day when I tried again!!) We responded promptly, (the second time you did!) fully refunded your order immediately, and informed you that the refund would take a few days to clear, depending on your bank’s processing times. (Two weeks and no refund) Our system confirms that the refund was processed as promised.

Your claim of being "scammed" is unfounded. (Tricked into a second item, no information as to what the initial discount covers, not informed afterwards, ignored on first attempt to address this. If this isn't a scam then you need to wildly rethink your business practices. I won't even go into the fact you take more than two weeks to dispatch items.)

We acted in good faith throughout the entire process, and it’s disappointing to see a review that doesn’t accurately reflect the situation. (It's disappointing to see a reply that lies and changes the facts so you don't look like you don't know what you're doing)

Reviews are intended to help businesses improve and inform other customers, not to misrepresent facts. (Replies are meant to be apologetic, accepting and offer goodwill. Yours skews the truth.)

Again, don't deal with this company. It's not worth it.

Not worth the shocking customer service!

Worst customer service I have ever received - I honestly wouldn’t bother I love their products but you don’t receive them and they seriously don’t know how to respond to problems.

Beautiful Rug, Great Quality and super fast delivery

I had been searching for a rug for a few months and wanted something a bit different and unique. My friend suggested this site and I purchased one of their leopard print rugs. I was so impressed when it arrived, it’s so thick and plush and the colours are really vivid.
The customer service was great as well as I made a mistake with the size and colour when ordering and they changed it for me straight away.
All in all really pleased and will definitely be ordering from them again!

RIp off chopping board

I ordered a chopping board. It was £30. I didn’t realise they sold two sizes. I messaged them but they didn’t respond for 5 days so it was too late to change the order to the big one. There solution was I could send it back when it arrives and then reorder. I left a review to say the chopping board is not as nice as it looks on screen and the it is so tiny it’s pretty useless and absolutely not worth the money. After writing the review twice and it not being published I asked why. They told me they have the right not to publish reviews!!!! How is that transparent! Absolute disgrace!
They then blocked me so I couldn’t respond. I was told my words are unkind and damaging for a small business. My words are factual about that product. We need honest reviews to make informed choices.

Hello, this review fails to mention any of the different ways we tried to work with you to fix this.
Your email landed into our spam box, when you contacted us we apologised and offered to send a bigger size, you became angry and left the chat.

We then offered a discount code and free return so the bigger size could be ordered for the same price as it was when it was on sale.

We were happy to upgrade your size or work with you for a discount code but everything that was offered you refused.

You then left a poor review on every one of our social media channels and have even registered our company on here so you could leave a poor review.

I can understand you being angry and upset when a company has ignored you or provided a poor service but we went over and above and were extremely apologetic and desperately tried to fix this.

We run our website with integrity with our customers first, we publish all star reviews and if we let someone down we will be the first to hold our hands up and try and make it right. We do not and will not tolerate bullying and intimidation with the threat of poor reviews. A staff member you spoke with was left very upset. That is wrong.

Sorry you felt unhappy with your chopping board and the service and we wished we could have found a way to make it better, we would have loved to send a bigger size free of charge but as a small company we just cannot absorb that cost.

No one can change your lived experience but hopefully this provides a little more context to the above.
