Down the right path
The phase “failure demand” is about having to call support to sort out something which can often, when it’s India based, have no good outcomes. This was not the case with Yoast as the person on the end of the wire knew the answer and pointed me down the right path

Fast turnaround. I had a problem with the installation that was due to settings I chose myself in my WordPress ages ago, so I was stuck. With turnaround of their competent answers of just a few hours, I could resolve the issue (3 emails full of advice from their side) in about a day. Great experience.

Shocking customer service experience
While Yoast Premium is an excellent product with great functionality, the support experience has been disappointing. Over several weeks, I’ve found the support team to be generally unhelpful, often relying on AI tools that provide generic or even incorrect information. It feels like a gamble; only about 10% of the time do I reach someone knowledgeable like John C., or get escalated to seniors like Jose and Goody who actually provide great solutions. As the "front line" of the company, the support staff needs significant technical upskilling to protect Yoast's reputation.

Hi Koray! We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with Yoast SEO. But to be quite frank, it is expected that the actual URL to your sitemap should have the 'noindex' tag, because you wouldn't want the sitemap URL itself to appear on the search results. However, it does have a 'follow' tag which lets the search engines and crawlers know to follow and crawl all of the links in the sitemap, which you do want to have indexed and show up in the search results.

For SEO, YOAST is for years the best plugin I know. Also the knowledge articles on the website are great.
Never problems with the plugin. Good support also.
