Not able to be heard by receiver
I tried in numerous occasions to make calls to Canada from the Dominican Republic. All calls fail. The receiver could not hear me in all cases. If I call a domestic number within the Dominican Republic, it works just fine but this defeats the purpose of using Yolla for international calls.

Excellent app to call international
Best app to call international numbers at a reasonable rate. I have always enjoyed using Yolla and it is a great app. Recently, I had issues calling few specific phone numbers for countries like Iran, but thanks to the wonderful technical support team at Yolla, they resolved the issue in no time. Special thanks to Damon, who was apt in responding to my issue and resolved it.

We see that you contacted Yolla Support and received a response explaining that, due to restrictions from the local mobile operator, your recipients are unable to see your number.
Unfortunately, we can only confirm this situation. Yolla always aims to display your number to the recipient, but if this is blocked on the operator's side, there’s nothing we can do to override it.
We truly regret the inconvenience caused.
Please note that Yolla is primarily designed for international calls.
We recommend using your regular SIM card for domestic calls within India, so your number is displayed properly to your contacts.
As an alternative, you may consider using phone number from another country to make calls to India — in this case, your number should be preserved and shown correctly to the recipient.
We genuinely hope you’ll continue using Yolla and appreciate the benefits of our international calling service.

Works relatively well, a few issues need attention
So far I'm happy. It has worked relatively well for me as I travel the world. What could be improved?
1) Sometimes the quality of the calls is somewhat poor (audio fades in an our or there is some background noise) and
2) More clarity on how much calls cost to each country. Before I signed up I contacted your support for clarification on this issue and was told that all countries would be charged at the same price asthe U.S. However, several calls to the UK were charged at .22 per minute. I find y our site quite confusing on this issue.

Unfortunately, Yolla does require a stable internet connection, and when traveling, it’s not always easy to find one. That said, we work every day to improve call quality in Yolla.
Regarding your second point about prices — we checked our records and see that you contacted support about four months ago and received a reply that addressed your questions. That message also included information about call rates, but perhaps there was some confusion.
Call rates depend on the specific number you’re calling. Additionally, if you use a European number, calls to other European numbers will be cheaper than when using a non-European number (this is due to European regulations).
For example, if you’re calling a UK number, mobile calls start from $0.10/min, while calls to landlines start from $0.06/min.

Mixed experiences..
I was recommending this app to friends for testing. Unfortunately to see the 3 usd bonus you need to close yolla app and reopen it again. Therefore my friends where adding more credits. Even if you add more credits you need to close and reopen the app to see your current balance. One of my friends added more and more credits.. That's not nice, when millions are using this app it's unfriendly to not refresh the balance. Other than this I cannot call any Italian phone numbers. Guess they are blocked for some reasons. I do not recommend this service even if it's working in some cases.
