Spoiled Cheese and Poor Customer Service

I was really excited to support this small business and try their cheese, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish.

The cheese arrived spoiled due to inadequate packaging. There was no proper insulation or cooling, which is essential for shipping perishable goods — especially during warmer months. By the time it reached me, it had a sour smell and was completely inedible.

I contacted the company politely, explaining the situation and including photos. I wasn’t upset — just hoped they’d acknowledge the issue and either improve the process or issue a refund.

Instead, I got a copy-paste response offering a replacement. No apology, no real engagement with what I’d said. I didn’t feel confident reordering if the shipping method hadn’t changed, so I requested a refund instead.

That’s when the tone shifted. I was met with a passive-aggressive email about how they’re “just a small business,” implying I should be more understanding of their "mental capacity and their margin". But being a small business doesn’t excuse poor service or spoiled goods. If anything, it should be a reason to care more about the customer experience — not less.

Sadly, I can’t recommend ordering from them unless and until their packaging and customer service are seriously improved.

Also it's massively concerning that after any negative reviews that there's a string of positive ones from locked profiles. 🚩
