Poor service
We ordered windows and a door from them last year. They were due to be installed at the start of December with the work taking a week. Half way through the job the installers realised that the sash windows they were fitting were not the ones we ordered (we ordered ones where both frames moved whereas only one moved). The ledges weren't the right size. One of the windows was the wrong size as well. We agreed to leave the sash windows as they were and not insist on the ones we'd ordered (and we got an acceptable discount for this). The correct size window was fitted just before Christmas, but one of the panes had a scratch on the inside and we had the same issue with a couple of other windows. In addition, the replacement window had some damage to the frame. We raised this with Yorkshires Windows and about 4 weeks later someone came to check the damage and measure up for the replacement panes. We have been chasing them to do the work ever since and it's now mid April. I wouldn't use them again.

Excellent experience and quick turnaround
I was really impressed with Yorkshire Windows after we used them for a new front door. They were very easy to deal with and their people arrived when they said they would. The turnaround time for our door was very quick and the installation was of a very high standard. I would recommend Yorkshire Windows.

Very friendly
Very friendly, professional staff. The individual who did the survey was knowledgable and fussed our dog (big positive). The door fitter was quick and efficient. Very happy with the service.

The original salesperson that visited…
The original salesperson that visited my home (James) was very professional, helpful and reassuring. The showroom staff at Doncaster and Wakefield were also very helpful.
Unfortunately my experience of office staff was the opposite including sending me a a very unwelcome e.mail demanding money or my planned installation may not go ahead. This was very upsetting as this was not the agreement I signed up to. I didn’t receive any follow up phone call as I requested and had to call again to be told this e.mail was a mistake. The installation went well. My rating would have been much higher if the admin side of the the service had been better.

Very happy with the service I received…
Very happy with the service I received from start to finish. There was a slight delay in installation but this was communicated clearly and I received plenty of notice so it wasn't an issue. Everyone was very helpful and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The quality.
The quality of doors; personnel and work was on spot, however, for the keys in the door they do not seem to be smooth when opening or putting the key in the key hole. We called out for help because the key could not go in . We have observed that though the second padlock opens the entry of the key into key hole i isn't smooth. Overall the purchase is very good and gives a breathing space.

N/B as i said , all is perfect except the insertion of the key into the keyhole we are struggling to insert. am not sure if this is the nature of the padlock. Once the key is in the keyhole locking is smooth.

Fitting of door was fine and happy with…
Fitting of door was fine and happy with quality of door and work of fitters. But a simple mistake was made which could have been easily rectified. It took ten weeks to rectify and only after numerous phone calls and emails which went largely unanswered. You get a good idea of the quality of a company by how it responds to mistakes made. The response of Yorkshire Windows fell way short of what I would expect.
