Beware- you may never get your item

Update: over two months later, I did receive my item which was better quality than I was expecting. However, still no contact from customer service.

I don’t believe this is a legitimate company. I placed an order in the last week of Jan 2024 and it still hasn’t shipped. Two emails to customer service have gone unanswered.

Poor quality hoodie

My daughter paid AUD$61 for a "Japanese Streetwear Style: Harajuku Starry Nights Lightning hoodie", which we were disappointed to find on arrival was very thin and very poor quality - not at all what was expected given the photo with the listing. The package did not arrive from Youeni, but from a Chinese company we did not recognise. One of the sleeves appears to be damaged. You can see through the black fabric (this was "normal" thickness"), and the lightning tassels on the cords of the hoodie are very cheap and nasty. Their website has a graphic proclaiming they have a 4.9/5 rating here on Trustpilot from over 1200 reviews... but no link to these reviews! Lesson learned in not actually checking these reviews first! My daughter commented that there's no season in which this fabric would be suitable - it's not at all warm, but the long sleeves make it too warm for warmer months. She's 15, and the 2XL barely fits. We would not purchase from them again.

bad products, worse customer service

I ordered a cardigan from Youeni in mid-November, and the thing I received was markedly different than in the image on their site (which I realize now was intentionally desaturated to make the product appear a different shade of brown) as well as poorly stitched together. I have been in a nightmare back-and-forth with them in the following months about my return and they have, so far, sent me poorly-written, nothing-burger statements about how they are discussing with their round-table of upper management whether I, the lowly mortal, deserve to be refunded for the crap they sent me. I typically don’t hound companies for this, but I should add that their emails to me have been pretty unprofessional and like the person writing them isn’t a native english speaker (again, that’s not really my problem; they’re allowed not to speak good english. I do wish their email etiquette was better, but doing nothing super nicely isn’t much better than doing nothing rudely). All in all a bad experience and I don’t recommend. Their prices might be cheap, but if you plan on buying something from them, don’t think you’ll be able to return it.

Order never shipped

Prices were misleading, discounts advertised were not correct. Haven’t shipped order purchased ten days ago and do not reply emails or messages. I do not believe this is a genuine company.
