Poor waffle station service
I recently hired Booth Kent for a corporate event with 130 attendees, booking their services for four hours. Despite their professional-looking website, the actual service was quite poor, and I am deeply disappointed.
Firstly, the communication with the company was abysmal. We encountered issues with our business card while trying to pay for their services and sought advice or alternative payment options. However, our emails and messages were not promptly or adequately addressed. The responses seemed automated and irrelevant to our clear inquiries. It was frustrating to have to chase them down to ensure we could pay on time and confirm their attendance at the event, which is quite ironic.
On the day of the event, Casey, the sole staff member, arrived to set up. While one person was sufficient for our guest count, the setup itself was extremely unprofessional. The table was covered with a thin, grey paper tablecloth that exposed the legs—something I could have easily done myself for a casual backyard gathering. It lacked the professional touch we expected for a corporate event.
Additionally, we specifically requested stick hot dog-style waffles but were instead provided with the classic variety. This was another significant letdown and not in line with what we had agreed upon.
I did send an email to Booth Kent to express my dissatisfaction internally, but given the overall experience, I feel compelled to share this publicly. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. The poor communication and inadequate service were not worth the hassle or the cost.
