Overpromised the timeline and a few features. The end product was decent, although for their cost not nearly as positive as it should have been.

Communication was ok, but they took significantly longer than promised.

Alex overpromised in the beginning. I went with him due to him seeming like he had strong recommendations/connections to other aspects of D2C beside website, but he went quiet once the project got going.

Decent result that was too expensive/slow for what was paid, better options out there. I'd highly recommend keeping the payment in Upwork opposed to paying directly. The additional 10% cost is definitely worth it to keep them accountable.

I've been waiting weeks for a full account of the time spent, an astounding amount of time was spent for very little outcome.

My conversion rate dropped for two months after their work (despite their representations on Upwork). I'm a tech moron but have made changes to the website myself and have increased conversions substantially.

They also missed a major deadline which was hammered home at the start of the project.

Thinking about legal action, as I've got a million better ways to waste $10k than on this lot.

Honestly, in my opinion, either look elsewhere or give it a go yourself. You can't do worse from my experience.

Its really hard to find someone reliable in this field having outsourced my web development jobs to various companies with disappointing results. What started initially as a great service, quickly turned into a debacle.
There were multiple streams of communication with no central hub.
The project was supposed to take a few weeks and ended up taking months, missing a critical sale period (Christmas).

Aftercare has been non-existent. We migrated some parts of the recurring payment system, but this was not fully completed.

We have been asking for updates on this, and also on parts of the site that our customers are telling us are broken, and we have had no response.

Project cost £8,000 + internal costs.

I went into this contract with a lot of bad experiences with other companies. To say my trust was low is an understatement.

They built for HumBirdWool a specialty app that allows my customers to customize their orders in a way generic add ons never could. It not only makes it easier on my side to understand what to sew, I have gotten a lot of compliments from customers (and what could be more important than that) on the ease it is to understand how to order and get what they want. No longer am I spending hours in messaging helping customers order what they want. No longer do I have to spend my day watching how many orders come in so I can close it at the right time. The team at your digital media created the application to take care of all the special requirements needed for a made to order shop like mine.

I will definitely use them again for anything that might come up in the future (though, they did such a good job, I'm not sure anything will).
