All 4 of us really enjoyed this golf…

All 4 of us really enjoyed this golf break. All the staff in the golf shop and hotel were extremely helpful so all good.
Just one problem which was no one's fault was we were unable to get our booked buggy for the first half of golf on Sunday. We were provided with 2 electric trolleys and then swopped for a buggy at halfway. All well explained so no complaints.

5 day Cascais

5 day, 4 round trip to Cascais. Very well organised. All transfers on time. Courses enjoyable and lot quieter than Algarve Quinta de Marhina hotel excellent. Cascais great for evening eating and drinking

Was at Portal Sunday/Monday for a one…

Was at Portal Sunday/Monday for a one night/two rounds trip.

What a shambles, the Premier Course is in shocking condition, tees rock hard, no watering and the greens so slow for the middle of August. Took over 5 hours for the round, waiting on virtually every hole.

The Hotel bar staff were rude and extremely unhelpful. We were under the impression we had a 10% discount on the bar, it was applied to some drinks but not all and the staff were random in applying this.

Drinks were expensive , 7.95 for a pint of Peroni or Guinness but 7.25 at the bar for the Premier Course.

We were under the impression a two course meal was included in the cost of the trip but in fact it was a carvery, I eat very little meat, on offer was fatty beef, pork, lamb and a macaroni cheese. I told the staff there was nothing there I could eat so they did me fish and chips but the batter on the fish was soggy and unpleasant. The restaurant serving the carvery absolutely stank of cooked food, cooking oil and was just unpleasant. As we left the carvery a group of golfers were in the proper restaurant getting a full al a carte meal, not the rubbish we endured.

The two bars in the hotel had also run out of pint glasses, we waited nearly an hour to get a drink.

The rooms have been stripped back, no fridge, no coffee facilities and no channels on the TV for sport.

The Championship course was ok but again the greens were poor for the time of year and it took over 5 hours to get round.

In summary, it’s not value for money, the staff are not good, the rooms aren’t fit for purpose, the courses are below par and it’s not an experience we will repeat. Shame on you Macdonalds, you know how to make money but you’re not very good at giving the Customer a trip to remember.

Edit, add in the golf buggies are £40 per round which is extremely expensive.

YGT delivers again

YGT delivers again
Simon at YGT once again were able to sort out the non standard trip. All we wanted was two rounds of golf in Vale do Lobo. Tee times sorted within a couple of hours at a good price. YGT are not just for full on golf trips.

Cardrona last minute

We booked our trip to Cardrona only a day before travelling. Ryan was really helpful with this last minute request and looked into this and other options for this date for us. The rest of the process was simple and he also took care of arranging the tee-times and our dinner reservation. I would not hesitate to use Your Golf Travel again as the service was very good.
