It was different, quirky, tasty and went a surprisingly long way in my meal. Also, excellent source of protein and really good for the environment - so added bonus. Tastes really good!
I was hesitant to try Yum Bug but it turned out to be absolutely delicious! The gnocchi was my personal favourite, and the crickets added a hint of spice. The sourdough and butter was to die for!... See more

Good service and tasty bugs. I was initially hesitant about eating crickets but once you start you’ll begin to see them like little yummy prawns

Love the website, very user friendly. Loved trying the bugs, we made some delicious wraps and I'm yet to try the stir-fry! Would, and have, recommended!

Easy to use website, product was great, and will be fantastic for helping solve climate issues related to carbon and water usage.

These bug kits are great! My wife and I had the 🦗 stir fry. It had great flavour, the recipe was easy to follow and it was a good size portion. I highly recommended it to anyone who loves eating bugs and for those who would like to try eating bugs for the first time.

These kits are a great intro to crickets which I first had on a trip to Mexico where some chef had made them into a herby guacamole. Anyway these guys are real enthusiasts, put lots of recipes out on the website and instagram and their kits make trying them out really easy and tasty. We’ve had them in stir frys and in wraps - great for a really quick meal when you’re short of time. Just bought some for friends who are interested to try - very quick delivery- but better to order multi-packs to make postage worthwhile (or they do discounted subscriptions if you get hooked).

Generally pretty well put together recipes (although sometimes I'd recommend the odd tweak according to personal taste), which are easy to follow. Really enjoyed the crickets on their own as well - make a really good addition to fajitas or scrambled eggs for a little crunch and extra flavour. The customer service has always been excellent.

Not to everyone's taste but I think they're good. Service was excellent, price was appropriate.

My order came really quick. They might sell crickets but they're worker ants behind the scenes

I really enjoyed the kit. It’s not something I’ve ever tried before, but a great introduction!
Delivery was quick.

This is a great little company with a great idea.
Crickets are eaten in many parts of the world and are a great source of protein, far more sustainable than meat.
Crickets are tasty and versatile.

This is definitely something I tried for the novelty value. Did I even want to eat insects? Maybe once, to say that I had. The delivery was delayed a bit due to Christmas post, but the support team was friendly and helped me get my tracking details. (They'd already sent them to me, whoops.)
The box is really nicely designed and looks exciting. I had to try one of the crickets out of the pack just to see what it is like- crunchy is an understatement! The taste is mild, I think it's like nori, but the packs come paired with herbs and spices to make them suit some traditional meals. Despite multiple warnings on the pack I managed to overcook the first batch, they're dry, and only need to be very lightly fried. That issue is clearly my fault!
It wasn't too weird eating insects. Taking my first forkful I felt a bit hesitant, but it becomes familiar soon. Of the recommended recipes, I absolutely loved the cricket chilli. The crunchy texture adds something special.
Are crickets now my favourite meat? No, not really. But they are undoubtedly moreish once you find the recipe you like. It's worth trying just for the experience. I will be ordering more!
