Yep, They got me too!
As soon as you fill in the payment page, BEFORE you get to review your order, the page disappears and your card is hit for 99.95! Even if you selected "one for $39.99! My bank told me "you just learned a $99.95 lesson." If you don't have a PayPall account they won't take any action either. If anyone is getting up a Class Action or an AG complaint, feel free to count me in.
The premiere GOUGE. . . .on its way!!!!
I ordered ONE (1) wi-fi booster from them for $39.95
The next day I received an. email receipt from them for $99.95. There is no way I can contact the company in the United Kingdom.
Their email address is probably offshore somewhere.
I have filed a dispute with PAYPAL, and will further lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and if need be, the AG office in Indiana.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. They absolutely will not refund your money. I returned 2 units, as we decided to go with internet provider's boosting instead. I called and emailed over a dozen times, and they tried to tell me that because of Covid, that I should take their discount instead of return items. They would not give me the address of where to return the units, even though on their website, they say money back guarantee within 30 days. They basically stonewalled me, and I had to return them to the warehouse listed on my return envelope, and paid myself. They still insist they never received the items. I have escalated the issue with my credit card to claim fraud. Best to avoid this business altogether.
It is good and nice Zen booster
Don’t fall for false claims - get professional help
Their marketing materials are deceiving at best, and are probably outright fraudulent, unless their little disclaimer in small print that the article is “just a story” holds up in court. Several friends asked me about these devices - after a quick 5 minute review I told them that it was absolute junk, a cheap WiFi extender. There is no way to “de-throttle” your internet. WiFi extenders are seldom the answer. Get help from a professional and consider changing your WiFi access points and router every 2-3 years if you are buying “consumer grade” devices. A cheap WiFi extender can be purchased for about $10-20.
What a rip off
What a rip off ! Cant call them and talk to anyone, emails get you a computer generated answer & there is no money back at all !
This item is pure junk
This item is pure junk! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I tried to put it to use three days after I got it. Nothing! I tried both of the set up guides it comes with-still nothing! I e-mailed them several times asking for help and actually did get responses but all they offered me were suggestions that did(you guessed it!)-NOTHING! I asked for a refund and got stalled. Then, after I filed a claim against them with Pay Pal, I got offers for differing partial refunds(25% off, $30 + free support, etc.). Then they tell me that Pay Pal won't allow them to make the refund as long as my claim remained open so I'd have to close the case before they could issue the refund. (I called Pay Pal and asked--they have no such policy!) They did everything(including telling me to keep the booster + take a $30 refund)they could think of to get me to keep this junk. So, again, I'm telling you to hold on to your money! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
Should we start a class-action lawsuit?
I have previously provided a review of this product and especially the company's business methods. Now I think it is time that they were gifted with a class-action lawsuit. So many of us were scammed by this falsely advertised 30 day satisfaction guarantee and then had to spend hours and months attempting to even get their address to return the items. And forget about ever getting a refund! They hook you in with promises that appear to 'protect' you and your investment and then completely stonewall you in any such attempt. Now they claim they never received the unit that I very carefully sent back months ago, hoping I suppose that I no longer kept the USPS tracking receipt. (Right, I can't find it now and fear I tossed it when cleaning my desk a few weeks ago). Even my credit union is stonewalled by them. I do however have a copy of all the correspondence between myself and the company. I'm undecided about whether to go to the state Attorney General's consumer-protection division or to start searching for a law firm specializing in class actions. Any thoughts, folks?
DO NOT PURCHASE ZEN BOOSTER
I thought I would try this and am so sorry I did. First of all, it was way too complex for me. My internet provider was able to speed up my wifi, so found this also unnecessary. I have written them approximately 6 times to get a return address and they keep pushing me to keep it. It is actually bullying. I wrote one last time that I will return to the address on my envelope if they don't give me a different return address. They keep stalling. If they don't do something promptly, I am contacting our Attorney General and Better Business Bureau.
I just wish I would have checked them out a head of time because had I read these reviews, I never would have purchased.
These devices do not work
These devices do not work. I bought three of these units in December. I plugged them in the outlets in the house and followed the instructions they came with but they will not work, very much disappointed. I emailed the vendor customer service and got an answer by Ms Amy Chambers on 7 different requests to provide the return address. She is being very difficult and has yet to provide the requested information. I have already posted on Facebook and reported them to the BBB.
Unit does not work & the company goes ghost!
This unit does not work. Also, getting in touch with the company is non-existent. They said easy return. That is a lie. Finally after months of trying to contact them & stop my credit card payment, they agreed to give me a $30 refund (only partial of unit cost). To date, after many requests, I have not received it. Do not purchase this Zenbooster WiFi unit. This company is not creditable.
Don’t buy it!
It’s crap. We (my grandmother and I) spent nearly two hours trying to set it up and then called a family member who tried to help us and it still didn’t work. The support on their site just sent us to a link to buy another one. We tried on both a Mobile device and on a pc but nothing worked. Finally gave up after getting angry enough.😡
UNIT DOES NOT WORK-IT'S SCAM!
UNIT DOES NOT WORK-IT'S SCAM!, I bought two of this unit on December 2, and was very happy to received them in less than ten days. I plug them in almost all the outlet in the house followed the instructions they came with but they will not worked, very much disappointed. I emailed the vendor customer service and got an answer by Ms Amy Chambers telling me to plug the unit on the ethernet of the router, STILL
DID NOT WORK, Went back and forth with three more
emails to the point they offer me discounts. SO FRUSTRATED and wrote PAYPAL that I want to return the item and get a full refund ($99.95), no response yet from PAYPAL till after 13th of January 2021.
JUNK!!!!!!
JUNK!!!!!!! Worthless garbage that does NOT work!
I wish I could give it 0 stars. The product is junk and the customer service is the worst I have ever seen. The money back guarantees are BS. The company phone number for customer service is just a recording directing you to write a email that the company will not respond to.
I ordered one
I ordered one, but I was billed for and received three of these dead weights. I emailed them and asked for an explanation, but no response. Still trying to get this puppy to bark, however after reading all of these reviews I will not frustrate myself any further and just cut my losses.
This is a review about both the Zen Booster and Shevat, LTD…
This is a review about both the Zen Booster , but, more about Shevat Ltd, the seller. It is difficult for me to review the product since I never got it to set-up. After several attempts to make it work, I requested a refund and return label. I got a nice reply from one of Shevat's service tech, who said she would really like to work with me to get it to work. So, like a jerk, I told her that I would do that because I wanted it to work. Twenty-five emails between us and several hours with several instructions, I had enough and nicely requested the refund. Instead, she dumped me onto another service person who attempted to have me start all over again. I reminded her of the 25 emails and hours of work with her associate and refused to go along with her request. I then filed a claim with PayPal.
Several weeks have passed with PayPal awaiting a response from the seller. In the mean time, I have received 3 more emails requesting that I work with them to make it work. I finally found a way to speak to a PayPal agent and explained the actions taken, very strongly. Verbally, I was told that they would get a full refund for me, but I have not seen the Money yet! To be continued......
Need to be put out of business!
First and foremost, I can only blame myself for not checking the hundreds of negative reviews for this product. If I didn't fear for my sewers, I'd throw it the bowl and flush, because it is nothing but crap. How can such companies operate without being caught and punished by the USA? These scammers should stand trial in US court with all Reviewers testifying. It'd be a good example for other scammers.
I bought two Crap Boosters and plugged them in every single socket in my home. Not single setup has made a difference. I am so disgusted by such scammers. I have more respect for pickpockets than for those who use "technology" to steal from honest people. With so many people disappointed, I suggest we contact a district attorney or hire a lawyer and sue these scammers. I just want them out of business along with few days in jail to think about scamming...
Try calling and talking to a person... go ahead...
Horrible rip off artists preying on the vulnerable.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN BACK GUARANTEE !!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !! THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN MONEY BACK GUARANTEE !! They say "money refunded if not completely satisfied if returned in 30 days"... We didn't find This Zen Booster any better than the cheaper wifi extender on Amazon. I have been writing to try and return this now for over 2 WEEKS..and they keep stalling me- with" 'take pictures to show us where the Zen Booster is so we can help you, or write to us and we'll help you set it up properly"...etc,etc. I DO NOT want to take pictures or need you help..WE JUST WANT TO RETURN THE DARN THING !! I now have over 8 mails going to them asking for their return address to return the ZenBooster and and asking them for a return authorization #...They are totally ignoring these questions... I now have to contact PayPal to report them as they will not send me their return address nor return authorization information. WHAT A HASSLE.. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !!
