First, the thing that stands out the most is that their developers are really good. Most of the time, they understand the context of what you're asking or context around the problem and implement effective solutions. This alone seems to save a lot of back and forth that is typical of other services. And we don't have to go back and re-fix things.

Also important to note is that the main difference between their plans is their response time. So if you buy a plan that promises a 24 hour response time, it can take up to 24 hours to get a response. What I find in reality is that sometimes I get answers or work done very quickly (within 5-7 hours). Sometimes it may take about 16-20 hours. But if I average all of those response times, I find that it's a lot faster than what they advertise, which is great. I noticed the same thing when I switched to their 12 hour response time plan. I haven't tried their 8 hour response time one, however, because I didn't need it.

Zenwp's service is okay. Acceptable, but not great. There are two main drawbacks. First, they will wait almost 24 hours to get back to you with a question about the task. As a result, you may be thinking that your task is being completed, but in reality, it's not. By the time you get back to them and they then take another 24 hours to complete the task, two or three days may have gone by, during which time your task is left unfinished.

The second drawback is also related. If you have a task that involves multiple steps - even if they're minor, such as a making two separate edits to one page - each step will be completed individually. Combined with the 24-hour turnaround time on questions, this means that a task that could be completed quickly will be drawn out over a period of days or even weeks.

There is definitely an opportunity for a more responsive service to enter this space, similar to how Zenwp emerged after WPCurve. I'll continue to use Zenwp a while longer while searching for a better, more timely and responsive alternative service.

As you may already know, Wordpress does not provide support. Although the community is amazing and you can ask for help in various forums or Facebook groups, you want to make sure you have hired a developer to resolve any advanced or urgent Wordpress issues you may have, especially if you're running your business' website on a self-hosted Wordpress instance.

The sign up process is simple and easy. You create an account and get an email telling you how to use their support system. It looks like they use a single-ticket support system like Zendesk so it's pretty straightforward. You "create a ticket" by sending an email to them. Then, a ticket confirmation is emailed back to you and someone responds with a solution quickly.

I've been using Zen WP for about 4 months now. It's a lot better and the quality of developers are better than WPCurve (both before and after the GoDaddy acquisition). I'll be looking forward to continue using them for Wordpress support.

Where do I start... Figuring out wordpress problems by myself was a full time job in itself. Either that or I could pay someone a ton of money. Enter Zen WP. I have a dedicated developer on-call, on-hand every single day. The only thing I'm wondering is where they've been all my life. Highly recommended.
