Great and hassle free, good customer service

Second time renting. First time had some issues with the car particularly around tyres. This time was flawless, easy pick-up, car was in great shape, easy drop off.

Can't fault zero, everything went smoothly.

Picked up keys from the drop box, drove away in a clean reliable car.

Handed keys back and left.

No fuss or hassle, would use again.

Zero problems with getting keys. Close to the airport. Everything was as expected.

Renting with Zero Car was the most frictionless part of a highly complex winter expedition. I rented a Toyota RAV4 for a dedicated photography trip across the South Coast and Reykjanes Peninsula in February. The vehicle performed flawlessly, acting as a reliable mobile basecamp through 16m/s winds, black sand plains, and a massive 4.5-hour whiteout blizzard.

I rented an intermediate SUV from Keflavik airport in Iceland. We were given a Kia Sportage hybrid which was a very high spec - heated steering wheel, 4 wheel drive option with the ability to select a Sand/Snow/mud? (iirc) option, in-car sat nav, a lane drifting alert/adjustment system etc etc. The car was spotless inside, with a scraper that we needed to use a few times. Booking process was easy. I checked in online but then didn't get the code emailed to me an hour before pickup, to collect the keys. That caused some stress, as our flight was diverted & delayed and I couldn't reach Zero by phone as it was after 5pm. I emailed but got no reply. When we eventually got to Keflavik airport we followed the signs for rental cars and went to Blue, as I knew they're connected to Zero. Fortunately there was no issue collecting the key at that point, they told me my online check-in hadn't gone through, hence no emailed key code. Whatever. The car was fab, the winter tyres were brilliant and made driving on hilly roads in snow very manageable. I'd definitely book with Zero/Blue again.

Probably the best rental experience I ever had in my life. Starting from the booking experience, the website is really clear and all the vehicles are covered with full insurance. Prices are cheaper than the average and they also offer special 4x4 cars. We opted for RAV4 and we were upgraded to a Land Cruiser for free. I couldn't believe my eyes.
Pickup and returns are effortless with the self-service key system.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Signs inside the airport to find pickup location could be better, but once find it, experience was great. Able to easily access keys and car. Staff was friendly and helpful. Car handled great on Icelandic roads and helped us on our country-wide adventure. Provided a lot of pre-trip emails containing important travel information. Easy to use website and process to book car. Highly recommend.

Crippling card holds, sneaky extras, long pick-up queues and tedious forms to fill in. None of the above apply to Zero Car. I was waiting for the catch, but there wasn't one. No card hold, transparent charges, keybox pick-up and drop-off. Super easy, efficient and affordable - will definitely use this company on my next visit to Iceland.

Everything was just perfect

The service of zerocar is very good. Although it is self-service to pick up and return the car, there are always staff in the office to help answer doubts. The rented car is very new and has good performance. Moreover, the official reply to the email of zerocar is very fast. If you have any questions, you can get answers immediately.

We collected the car via the key box system which was easy. The car was great. The phone call to extend our rental by a day was also easy. The car insurance included in the rental also gave me peace of mind.

It was a pleasant and relaxed car rental experience, the pick and drop off were quick, easy and hassle free. The car was exactly the model we hired and in great condition.
