Visited restaurant last year and bought…

Visited restaurant last year and bought Zizzi frozen from supermarket. ( Vegan options ) Rainbow Lasagne from in-house really tiny, and I mean tiny, very expensive, not even a lettuce leaf to go with it :-D
I felt ridiculous actually.
From supermarket, as an experiment , quite expensive compared to other brands, seemed even tinier once cooked and too salty to eat.

Zizzi Oracle Reading. We visited on Father’s Day and…

We visited on Father’s Day and unfortunately experienced an issue with our Clubcard. It had worked during our previous visit, and when I asked the staff about it, they assured me it would work this time as well. Unfortunately, it did not. Had I known, I would have ordered differently to better take advantage of the available promotion. I had hoped the team would have been more familiar with the use of Clubcards and the current offers. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Zizzi’s Henley on Thames

Zizzi’s Henley on Thames. Last time I went to Zizzi’s in Henley on Thames, previous to yesterday’s visit, was 6 months ago and I had the same meal which cost just over £17.00 pounds. Yesterday it cost £26.00 pounds and was also nowhere near as good or well made. A simple Spaghetti Bolognaise and Garlic Bread with a Sparkling Mineral water. The portion of Spag Bol was much smaller, was virtually all Spaghetti with a very small amount of the actual Bolognaise meat sauce on top, with very little meat / mince in it and most noticeable of all, it was very watery .. really not a good sight. And £26.00 + !! I won’t be going to Zizzi’s again or recommending it. For me to visit Zizzi’s again it would take some serious promoting, and some serious changes to be advised as implemented. The Staff were friendly enough, perhaps a little mis-match with the clothing, looked a little scruffy .. maybe more of a uniformed look would work better .. but the meal .. very poor and 75% more expensive in just 6 months. I really used to like and enjoy, even look forward to going to Zizzi’s. Sadly, no more.

We came to zizzis at 7.55 (our booking was 8) waited 15 mins for our table. After ordering on the app we discovered that there was no peroni, no other beer option and limoncello, meaning we all struggled to pick a drink. Additionally, my friend the birthday girl received a mocktail instead of a cocktail. The guy who gave her the correct drink said happy birthday and was nice. Afterwards one of my friends ordered her garlic bread and it came with onions (specifically said made without onions) and another friend received her lasagne half an hour before the rest of the mains meaning she had to watch us eat afterwards. Afterwards my friend ordered sweet potato fries only to find out there was none again!!! My friend who is allergic to lactose and is vegetarian received an unsavoury salad. After all of this misery we did not recieve any discount and they forget to remove the items we ordered that we not in stock. This has ruined the birthday girls 20th and led to an unfortunate series of events. What a palava!

We had a fantastic birthday celebration…

We had a fantastic birthday celebration at Zizzi Cutty Sark in Greenwich! The entire experience was smooth from start to finish. I booked our table online and received a prompt call to confirm the reservation, which was a great touch.
A big thank you to Ariadna, who took care of us throughout the evening. She was warm, attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations—every dish she suggested was absolutely delicious. She even surprised us with a slice of cake and a candle for the birthday boy, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
And the food—just wow! Everything was bursting with flavour: delicious, scrumptious, and so satisfying. We truly enjoyed every bite.

Disappointed

Lovely restaurant, food was good. There were 12 of us dining to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at 2 tables of 6 which we pushed together. 2 of us had blue light cards and 1 had a student discount card. As there was 12 of us they refused to let us use any discount. I thought this was very unreasonable. We offered to pay separately but there was no budging them. Can’t fault the service other than this but I won’t be going back.

Highly overated

Highly overated. Visited Stratford Upon Avon on Saturday. The lasagne was nice but it was a tiny portion and we ended up going to get a takeaway straight after. When did these chains stop offering people value for money? There were a dozen Italian restaurants in the town, most of which were cheaper and probably better quality. We left feeling ripped off and still hungry.

Home deliver experience

We received 4 pizzas on home delivery via deliveroo yesterday, from Wokingham. The 2 GF picante pizzas were great but the other two pizzas were woefully under topped. One was piccante and was missing so much topping including the nduja and burrata and the other was pepperoni campagna and it had scant of anything. 2 Very disappointed diners. They wanted me to score 0 but the GF ones were great so I couldn’t.

Overpriced shocking for a school night

Overpriced, slow service, sorry to say but our table of 17 on a Monday night was little more than disappointing. The food arrived staggered in time I think from the first main to hit the table to the last it took around ten minutes, so we all ate independently and I don’t think anyone was impressed on the quality. The king prawn starter was little more than six prawns on a stick and as dry and tasteless as frozen prawns can be. Quantity could have masked quality but that didn’t even make the grade. £400+ sorry no one walked out impressed. Hereford

Dirty & poor hygiene

Visited the Birstall ‘restaurant’ 30/3/25, table reserved.
Very busy as it was Mother’s Day, set menu we weren’t aware of.
Ordered food, not too long to wait but my issue was, it was all cold! Had to ask for the pasta crisps as well.
We watched the servers walking round with the Parmesan cheese in THEIR HAND after cleaning tables! disgusting!
All the fixtures were covered in dust, we won’t be returning

Aldo, baby......

Aldo, baby, what have you done to your menu?
Took some guests to one of your restaurants last night and I was shocked at the state of the food you are now putting your name to, absolutely horrendous.
You need to rename these places McZizzi's and that's probably giving a bad name to other establishments starting with the same pronoun.....
We ordered a favourite board...what is that? Cheap balls of batter, with what ever the inside was meant to be, tasted of cardboard, certainly not what it was advertised as, then the squid crisps, you can't describe these as calamari? As a Sicilian, you are insulting years of family recipes, only to be turned into a gimmick by your restaurants all for the sake of cost?
Well that's also shocking, cos let me tell you, the quality isn't there anymore, and for what you're charging, people are soon going to realise there's no value for money and in the UK, people vote with their feet and wallets....
The bruschetta, cheap half cut cherry tomatoes, which fell off all over the place, because the halves were too big to fit on a piece of bread, come on buddy, you are better than this, cut the tomatoes smaller, properly.....
Beef stew? WTH is that? On a pizza bread base....please, remove this from your menu now, it will bankrupt you.
Need to get back to basics, stick with the Salami, Prosciutto, olives, PROPER Italian stuff...
And how about sticking a steak on your menu for the dads....?
It's a shame, cos my kids loved going to your restaurants in your early days, not sure what they'd make of this now.....
Stick to what you know, forget all the crazy rubbish, leave all that to Heston.
BTW, staff were excellent, no issues, lovely servers, shame the food let them down.....

Rushden lakes

We attended the restaurant at Rushden lakes and the staff were brilliant, however they had clearly been ordered to rush everyone. We had booked a table two weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day at no point was it clear that there would be a set menu with a fixed price and an extremely reduced menu size. There were two vegan options on this reduced menu. All the dishes that we have had before and loved before were not on the set menu and we were unable to order from the normal menu so this for us was a wasted trip. I would not advise booking this restaurant on a holiday as the table bookings were an hour long, luckily we had booked for an earlier meal so there were no delays but by 7:30 there was a queue out of the door of people waiting for the tables they had reserved.

Zizzi Newcastle

The worst service I ever experienced.

That man didn't offer pasta crisps after I ordered a main course. Once the pasta came, he didn't ask me if I would like some cheese or not. When he came to collect a skewer, he stared at me, didn't say anything, then walked away.

I have been to other Zizzi. They all offered a pasta crisp, asked whether I wanted cheese or not, and followed up about how I found the dish.

What happened to this Zizzi? The pasta crisps part definitely is personal. He should know that for sure.

The only reason I can think of is he discriminated against me.
