No longer able to contact them with issues.

Can’t get app to send me a code to change my password. Can’t live chat, the site keeps putting me in a loop. The con phone number is gone now. I used to be able to call if I needed anything. Something has definitely happened to them. Time to find a different company.

First of all I have the doorbell…

First of all I have the doorbell camera….it worked good for the first year but now it’s nothing but a cloudy mess….cant see anything….not sealed good. But the worst of all is someone happens to ring it….I go into the app and I have to continuously sign on! So much for catching someone breaking in as I have to sign out….then sign back in….for the doorbell and cameras! Don’t buy!!!

Zmodo simply does not support their…

Zmodo simply does not support their customers, nor do they respond to email requests for support. I have been trying for over a week to get a refund of $399.99. They billed thru Google and Google says they must issue a refund request while Zmodo says Google must issue it.
Zmodo is not being truthful. I would suggest you invest your money somewhere else as this company does not support their customers!!
Update 9-5-24 After Google says it is Zmodo's obligation to submit request to Google Play to refund $399.99 for canceled cloud and Zmodo says it is Google's duty to issue refunds I realized I was involved in a ping-pong game of pass the buck.
So I decided if I couldn't get my money back I would request my unused 1 year subscription be restored to my Zmodo phones only to find out over chat(Zmodo will not call me and they have no in-phone number, I requested a restore. Zmodo refused and said I must re-subscribe again....What?, make me pay twice?
Anyone know how I can find regulatory relief for the two companies playing ping-pong with me?

Can not cancel the subscription

I bought the cloud storage subscription a few months ago. Even though it says I can cancel anytime, it does not allow me to cancel. I tried many times using the app, it just not proceed after I select cancel button. So be aware!

I have two zmodo cameras

I have two zmodo cameras, one fairly new, and one several years old. Both have performed perfectly until zmodo decided to change something, which killed both. I tried to re activate the cameras, but failed. I contacted "tech support", and was told that both cameras were showing that they were "Bound" to another account, and that I would have to get "Them?" to unbind the cameras from the "Other" account before they would work again. I bought both cameras at different times, installed them myself, and there were no problems until zmodo killed them, probably a failed "Upgrade", or a plot to sell a paid service, as wyze has done. The only thing that changed was the cell number I had at the time. New carrier, new number. zmodo says that they sent the un binding request to my old number, which is either non existent, or in someone else's hands. I told zmodo the same, but, rather than using all my identification from two separate set ups, they ignore all my info EXCEPT my old cell number. Are these people too dense to grasp the meaning of a changed cell number? Other reviewers are correct in saying that you will get NO support from zmodo.

These cameras SUCK

These cameras are at the bottom of the C%^Yp list. Worse yet their software is as stable as a one legged dog. Going to make a YouTube video Teeing this garbage up with a golf club - that's all they're good for. Customer support is non existent - RUN FROM THIS SCAM-A-TORIUM

Garbage company

Garbage company. My account has been deleted. I can't sign in. Username doesn't exist. There is absolutely no way to get in touch with them. You can't call them and I can't use the chat because I can't log on. "username does not exist". I don't know if someone stole my account and is watching my cameras. I'm really concerned. I did email them but no one ever got back to me. SHOCKING !!!

Forced to a yearly subscription when clicking on the 7 day trail.

Tried to sign up for camera 7 day trial. Instead I was charged for a full year subscription on two cameras. Of course Zmodo customer service is only email and reading from a cue card saying to cancel the subscription and don't renew. Asked if I can switch from the yearly to a monthly and was told to cancel subscription and subscribe to a monthly, but they will not reimburse the yearly. Note this headache started with clicking for the 7 day trial on their app. Cameras are low quality to begin with and the cloud has issues with most of the recording time not accessible. BUYER BEWARE.

Moved recently

Moved recently. Cameras have no reset button. Would not connect to new wifi. Customer support stated IP address would have to be wiped out and a new one reloaded for the cameras to connect. Of course that would be $99.99 USD. Cheaper to buy new cameras!!! So.... now I have 2 little bricks that used to be my zmodo cameras. What a scam. Never again.... go with Blink instead....

Big pile of junk!!!

I bought my zmodo camera system in April 2018. I started with 4 working perfectly to 2 working when they want. I tried upgrading my midem and router and couldn't get my cameras to work , so I called zmodo support and a guy named Harry ext. 2055 his contact number is 800-652-9157. I was told he could help me get them back online but I would have to buy their virus protection for 299.00. I told him I didn't have any money to pay for that. And he told me that he couldn't fix my problem without it. I said this is bulls@*# and he hung up on me. So I currently am trying to get them online. One camera connected last night for a bit but now its out again. Never again will I call customer support nor spend my money on their products! Save your money by any other brand!

Most useless support as support is…

Most useless support as support is non-existent. In addition, my email gets continuously hacked and my password is changed not allowing me to access my account. I see my devices activated by the hackers which are monitoring my system.
This system is absolutely the most useless ever and there is no tech support by this company.

This company is absolutely shocking. Customer care is a joke! Basically call you a liar if you can't remember your password. No complaints procedure, no surnames given. No way to contact the CEO. Told the equipment is defective even though it has only been used a handful of times. AVOID! Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Don’t waste your money in this product

Don’t waste your money in this product! The worst is when you contact customer service. They respond to you surprised as if you were the only one to have this problem and if the guarantee has already passed they do not respond. It is irresponsible when they know that this product continuously presents that problem is loosing the connection every time. Who returns my money? Do you know what? I spent on 6 cameras and all of them have the same problem. Don't buy it never, that's my advice to you.

FIND A BETTER BRAND!

Don’t waste ur hard earned money on this company. The camera quality is terrible even when in HD mode. The monthly plan equals out to over 100$ PER camera If you want to use the cloud service. Cameras do not record at all if you don’t pay for this which basically is a one way video camera with super laggy live feeds. The events tab never actually catches important events so you better know what time something happened so you can go back and look or you’ll never find it amongst the footage. I would not recommend this company. Find a better one for the price point they charge. There’s plenty of company’s making cameras

Absolutely awful!!!

Absolutely awful!!!! waited 2 hours one day and then they said they were closing and nobody answered. Have tried their online support and NOBODY ever responds. Cameras haven't been working right for 2 weeks and we went on vacation with no views. This company is awful!
