Another email requesting my refund ignored.
Looks like I'm going to have to take court action to get them to pay up which will of course include a £75 admin fee for my time along with any costs incurred.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company. My wife used them for insurance and did not receive her cover note after paying the deposit it was a nightmare

This company is disgraceful, I’ve had my policy for 12 month with a total premium which I was ok with I’ve questioned multiple times to why I’m paying more than my premium states on a monthly basis. According to them it’s interest as when you pay monthly you have taken out a loan which I’ve never heard of in my life. My total premium was 1800+ for the year but as my final payment was made I’ve contracted my back and been informed that I was correct and that zugar znap had taken 2450+, which worked out about £650 more over the year then I was told they then told me I had paid 20% interest on the policy for the interest which still doesn’t add up in my opinion, after all if that messing around for 12 months i have received my renewal quote that has gone up to over 2500 a year. I would definitely not recon this company the will steal from you and when you try and question it they tell you it’s your fault you knew what you signed up for.

The worst experience from a broker I’ve ever had. Weird and confusing processes. Validation calls? Why? Additional validation processes through their website, sign this, you’re not insured yet. Blah blah. Increase in premiums, 48% APR charge on monthly payments-cancellation fees to cover their advertising costs (sounds like a you problem Zugar Snap). Consumer rights 14 day cooling off period doesn’t exist for them. Blunt and unhelpful customer service staff. I could go on. Seriously avoid!!!

Don’t deserve a single star. SCAM, you will lose money. Charge £75 for cancelling a policy that they had never even administered

Really wish I had read the reviews before starting to set up an Insurance policy with this company.
Had to call them to go through the policy, AFTER PAYING THE FIRST MONTH AT NEARLY £400. This was for a validation with the broker.

They then informed me the policy would need to be increased by over £100 per month, at which point I decided not to continue.
They refunded me eventually, but kept £75 for cancellation fee.
How can you pay a cancellation fee when the policy never existed!

I’m only giving 1 star simply because I can’t give zero stars! We recently had a quote from Zugar Znap. We accepted and paid in full. When they went through the validation process they suggested we change a couple things. We had not got them wrong at all but were advised it would be easier if we changed them. These changes DECREASED our liability however due to changes the policy had to go back to the underwriters. They promptly increased the quote by £75! Due to the changes we were advised to make. No sense from customer services who just read from a script. So we advised we were not going to take out the insurance and were cancelling (all within the 14 day cooling off period) Oh! What a surprise! The cancellation fee is £75! And you have to wait 3 weeks to boot! Absolute scam! Don’t touch them!

I have and continue to have had the worst experience with this company . I have been reduced to tears by them , they have affected my mental health all whilst I’m trying to recover from major surgery . They will only give you 3 dates in the month to choose your direct debit to come out and because I took this out around the 21st of the month to change it to the last working day of the month when I am paid they will only allow it if I make a double payment ( over £500). I have advised many many times I am happy to call and make payment as soon as I am paid on my card and this is always refused . They then add on a ‘late fee’ of £30 each month despite still being in the same month . I have never missed one payment . It is only the date they want / demand payment by that is the issue . I have escalated this now to the FOS due to the amount of stress and the impact this is having on my health, the relentlessness threats of cancelling my policy, harassment by continuous emails and texts . I have never in my life dealt with such a horrible company that is clearly out to make money out of customers with late fees and policy cancellation fees . They talk over you on a call , they have no duty of care to a customer and instead when I stated I’m on sick pay recovering from a total knee replacement the manager stated he had surgery himself ! There is never a female to talk to so I do feel they target women and I am particularly vulnerable at this time in my life . I feel harassed and bullied by these men. They are now telling me my car insurance will be cancelled and there will of course be a charge for this . With limited mobility I cannot do anything without the use of my car and they are well aware of this .
If you are also having the same issues as myself please report them to the FOS as this needs to stop .
AVOID at all costs

As previous reviews, I accepted the quote then received call 'to check details", said I hadn't put the correct address where my car is MOSTLY parked which I definitely had !
Then received another call asking for a further fee for insurance due to amendments, so cancelled as policy not due to start for four weeks.
Now received an email stating they want a £75 admin fee for cancelling.

The prompt help I got from the gentleman who attended me was first class service. He is knowledgeable and is a friendly person. I felt at ease with him. He was polite and ready to help. I will certainly recommend Zugar Znap to anyone wanting car insurance because of the good service provided to me today.

Zugar Znap quoted me cheaply on my renewal and also gave me a free breakdown & legal expensive policy. Best insurance broker!

I will renew with them again next year.

Both Zugar Znap and their Holding Company Nova Direct are the WORST Group I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Zugar Znap took my money, whilst Lying to me about the level of Car Insurance Cover they would provide and then 12hours Later They Stole another £187 pounds from my Debit Card.
I am still discussing the recovery of my money with my Bank and I have email both Martin Lewis (ITV) and Rip Off Britain (BBC) and I will follow up next week by informing the reputable site Compare the Market, that they are allowing the listing of a Devious, Underhanded Group that has an inability to respond to emails, calls or letters but are happy to keep taking money from your card.
I have already told all of my staff to WARN all their friends and family Not To Deal With These.

This 'broker' misleads you into thinking you have insurance after paying a deposit (like most others).
But after payment, they hit you with a daft pre-verification hold where you need to send them a ton of personal info and upload documents to their site.
Knowing that a lot of people may not have these documents at hand, if you're unable to pass verification, they class it as 'you cancelling on them' and take almost all of your deposit as an 'admin fee'.. for doing nothing.
Assuming you're confident you have all the documents to upload, you'll need to wait at least 24hrs before your insurance starts.
Absolute scam. They're no different to payday brokers.
If I've saved at least one person from handing over money to these con artists, then I've done my bit..

I’m a full time uni student I may pick up 2 shifts a month they then said I need to pay another £25 and monthly amounts be extra £30 I then said no cancel
To which is a £75 cancellation fee I’ve not had cover they haven’t provided no documentation I then said I won’t do shifts at work so they now going to ammend back but said price won’t change as they are taking there time to Amend it .

I won’t do my job as the car insurance I crease cost more then what get for my job I’m not tied to this horrible robot company. I’ve been in tears lack of empathy I’m at rock bottom and have nothing and these have just scammed me without even covering my car but also
Holding my money all weekend I am going to investigate with FSA as previously worked with Churchill car insurance for 15 years

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR INSURANCE! They cancelled my policy within a few days and only refund me £13 when we had already paid upfront. £350 This money goes towards commission! Disgraceful thieves. Please don’t entertain these guys. They will take your deposit and you’ll never hear from them again. Instead they will ignore your emails and messages so please guys you have been warned.
