Sell sick animals and very bad service

We bought a hamster here which became very sick with breathing difficulties. No one believed us until we took her back. They gave us one week to choose another hamster when they saw how bad she was but not nice attitude. My daughter was scared to buy another in case there were diseases that had spread to the other animals. We could have unwillingly taken a very bad illness into our home to affect our other animals. No one could give me a constant or accurate answer to where their animals are breed or a name of the facility. We could not buy anything else for the money. Only another hamster!
2nd issue = I went into their shop yesterday to use the 400kr discount I was told I would have on my account from the previous ‘Helgdeal’ after spending 1645:- At the time I asked for proof of this but was told they didn’t write any discounts on their receipts but that it would be available with my next purchase. They could see it on their computer system but I could not see it anywhere.
Yesterday the 7th Nov. I was shocked when told in a very rude and condescending manner that the offer was only valid for 30 days. The staff told me I made my purchase on 3rd Oct. but this was a lie as I have bank info for the 6th Oct. and the offer only started on the 4th Oct.
I asked where could I see that it was only valid 30 days. They said it was in shop and all over social media. I looked. No where on their social media they say anything about this offer. On the text I received promoting this offer it only says we get up to 400:- discount but not how long it’s valid. I can’t remember if they had posters in the shop. Who would a month later if it’s not written anywhere else. So basically they try to trick their customers into believing they will get 400:- back with their next purchase but give no written details to you so hopefully you forget because as soon as you leave the shop you can’t find any information regarding it.
I called customer services about both issues and they referred to the store manager who refused to repay me for either complaint.
So for being 2 days late to receive my discount of 400:- and not letting me use the money for a sick animal to buy something else in their shop they loose a very good customer. Many other better pet shops you should use.
Not honest or helpful service and selling sick animals. Cannot recommend
In reply: Hamster got sick within the time documented on the paper we signed. The shop manager is aware but not willing to help on either account nor even take the time to speak with me personally just passing her message to me through customer services.
Extremely bad example of how to be a manager!

I´m sorry that you had a bad experience in one of our stores. We always try to do our best to make our customers feel welcome and do our best to help in any case they need our assistance.

I don’t know the full story about this, and it seems like there has been a serious misunderstanding. It´s impossible to say what has happened to the hamster and I don’t know how long time it has been between purchase and discovering the bad condition. Sometimes hamsters, just as every other animal/human, can get sick with pneumonia but it is very very unlikely that it is contagious.

If you would have liked to receive a refund it shouldn’t have been a problem (if it´s within 21 days from purchase as stated in the Besiktningsintyg) But if it is later than that there is to much of a risk that something has happened that is outside our control. If you have any more questions about our animals our responsible of our animal care is at your assistens. Please contact us in that case on our e-mail kundservice@zoo.se.

You can see your 400 crowns voucher on your membership when you log in on our webbpage. If it has expired it isn´t possible to use it. Please contact kundservice@zoo.se and we can check when your voucher expired and of course help you if we made a mistake when you visited our store.
