Disappointed and Misled – Poor Experience with Stone Real Estate and Shaun Ramani
I had a very disappointing experience with Stone Real Estate, specifically with agent Shaun Ramani. From the outset, there were several issues that left me feeling misled and unsupported throughout the purchase process.
I was told the hot water system was only four years old and would produce “steaming hot water.” After settlement, I discovered it was over a decade old, rusted, leaking, and completely non-functional. Despite raising this prior to settlement, Shaun failed to take appropriate responsibility. Only after repeated follow-up did he admit (via his electrician) that the unit was “on its way out.”
The water was also not turned on during inspections, making it impossible to test the plumbing or hot water system. This is a basic and essential part of the inspection process that was completely overlooked.
The property listing images appeared digitally enhanced, and the building report — arranged by the selling side — omitted key structural and safety issues while focusing mainly on cosmetic features.
Overall, my trust was broken. I expected more transparency and accountability from a professional agency like Stone. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them.
