Disastrous customer service

I made a first booking online through the airline and everything went smoothly. Trouble started when I decided to keep the car for one more day. I was not able to make a booking online, I called customer service who provided me with a quote by email. The link was not working. I called again and after about 1 hour on the phone I finally managed to get a new booking only to realise that it was with a different rental company, so I had to empty the car, refuel it and hand it back. Nobody told me that the new booking was with a different company located a few kilometres away. Then I went to the premises of the new company, where they had a queue of more than 30 people and no cars available for several hours. I called customer service to complain and ask for a refund and I was told that nothing could be done. After insisting heavily for more than 30 minutes I was provided with a link to file a complaint online but still no refund. A whole afternoon wasted for no reason :(
