The gym smelt so bad

The gym smelt so bad, I feel like there was no ventilation and the overall experience was really poor. Some good equipment but also some really really dated machines for example the tredmills. Would not go again, sadly I bought a whole month subscription which is now completely wasted as I will not go back.

£100 Order Never Arrived. No Resolution, No Support

I placed an order with Muscle Food on 20th July. The delivery took four days, which is far too long for fresh food and even worse, it never actually arrived.

I first reported the issue on 24th July, and didn’t even receive a response for another four days. Since then, the customer service has been appalling, long gaps between responses, no resolution and no urgency at all.

It’s now 6th August, 17 days later, and I still haven’t received my food or a refund. I’ve chased multiple times, checked with reception, searched with my neighbours, and even asked in our residents' group chat. The parcel is nowhere to be found after being left in the busy landing of a communal space. In the meantime, I’ve had to fork out for a new food shop with money I didn’t have, just to feed my family. I’m now £100 out of pocket because of this order.

I honestly cannot believe how bad this experience has been. I feel completely ignored and mistreated, it genuinely feels like a scam. I’ve never experienced customer service this poor in my life.

I just want my money back. If I don’t hear anything soon, I’ll be filing a chargeback request through my bank.

We are sorry to read about your recent experience with us. I completely understand how frustrating and stressful this must have been for you. I could see that your order was marked as delivered but never actually received, despite the multiple follow-ups you made with our team. That was certainly not the service or experience we wanted for you.

We also understand that you requested an immediate refund of the full amount after the failed delivery and the delays you faced in receiving a resolution. We can confirm that your refund has now been processed, and it should have appeared in your account within 3–5 working days.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly regret the inconvenience this situation caused and appreciate you bringing it to our attention, as it helps us improve how we handle these issues going forward.

SCAM!! NEVER SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!!

NEVER SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!!! IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

After discovering my money had been stolen for months, I wrote to Chegg to lodge a formal complaint regarding the disgraceful and deceitful service I have experienced with Chegg (formerly Cite This for Me). It has come to my attention that I have been charged without my knowledge since signing up for a FREE TRIAL, despite never utilising the service.

When I initially registered for the FREE TRIAL, there was no mention whatsoever of any charges associated with the service. I was under the impression that it was a genuinely free trial period, with no hidden fees or obligations. To my dismay, Cite This for Me has been deducting money from my account without my explicit consent or proper notification.

To highlight the extent of this issue, I must emphasise that I have never utilised my account or accessed the platform since signing up for the free trial. Furthermore, the email address associated with my account is an old one that I solely used during my time at university and have not used since. It is only now that I have reset my password to gain access to the website and initiate the cancellation process.

Given the circumstances, I am deeply disappointed that Chegg/Cite This for Me has been stealthily withdrawing funds from my account without providing adequate prior notification. It is disheartening to discover that my hard-earned money has been essentially stolen from me during a period when financial stability is critical.

Therefore, I requested an immediate cancellation of my subscription, which, according to the information provided on the website, is scheduled to be terminated on July 31st. It is unacceptable that I will be charged for an additional month of a service I have neither utilised nor intend to use in the future.

Calculating the duration of the unauthorised charges, I find that it spans an alarming 34 months, considering my sign-up date of December 1st, 2020. With the monthly charge set at £8.39, the total amount wrongfully deducted from my account sums up to an astonishing £285.26. This sum is a significant burden, particularly during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

I am appalled by the deceitful practices employed by Chegg/Cite This for Me, where unsuspecting customers like myself are unknowingly subjected to unjustified charges. Therefore, I requested that Chegg/Cite This for Me compensates me for the losses I have incurred, as outlined above.

I expected a satisfactory resolution to be reached, which includes immediate cancellation of my subscription and the appropriate compensation for the unauthorised charges.

Though the response from Kiran from the customer service department was quick, he went on to tell me he "didn't know" what it said on the screen at the time I signed up, but the fact that I didn't realise and notify them sooner means that I could only be refunded for the past 90 days (and that was after speaking for a LONG time for my complaint to even be progressed to a point where I may get any form of compensation).

This means from "a gesture of goodwill" they will pay me £25.17 out of the £285.26. Utterly disgraceful.

During a cost of living crisis, Chegg/Cite This for Me have been stealing money from me and now having been made aware of this, attempted to place the blame on me for not realising sooner and are unwilling to do the morally correct thing and redund me the money they have been stealing from me.

NEVER EVER EVER sign up for this service. This is the biggest scam I have ever heard of and I am left truly devastated which is going to subsequently increase my anxiety when using online services.

SCAM!!!!!!!!!

The subscription located on the Chegg account was acquired specifically through a free trial offer. The redeemed free trial is only acceptable as an opt-in offer, meaning the terms of the trial are listed and the offer must be manually accepted before the service is added to an order or account. By redeeming the offer, the user is enrolling in a free trial of the applicable subscription, and if they do not cancel within the listed trial period, they will be enrolled in an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Following the expiration of any free trial period, the subscription will be renewed each month until you cancel. The user consents to Chegg automatically charging their payment method on file each month after any free trial period until they cancel.
We make it easy for customers to cancel their subscription at any point by e-mailing support@chegg.com or by managing their own account settings on our site. Once a subscription has been cancelled, we send the customer an email confirming the cancellation.
The customer did not cancel their recurring subscription or contact Chegg about a cancellation before this charge.

Looking over your account, it appears this has since been resolved. Please feel free to reach out if you need additional assistance.

Archived adverts

I had archived one of my adverts months ago and when I went to use it again it had disappeared, I was so upset as it took me days to find the correct information for my ad. I emailed customer services which was so easy to find and they literally responded with in the minute!!

I spoke to Peter who was just amazing and fixed the problem straight away, an incredibly polite and professional person with incredibly fast customer service!

I have always regarded preloved as an amazing website as I have always managed to get someone to loan my horse very quickly and easily, however this has just reaffirmed how amazing it really is!

Could not recommend anymore!
