Poor website design agency
We are very disappointed with this companies work and certainly would not recommend them to anyone. we approached them to make some simple modifications to our site, but they up-sold on the idea of building us a whole new website. they said it would be easier to rip ours down and start again - they quoted us £1200 to do so. we agreed.
At the design meeting we gave clear instructions on how we wanted our site to look. we are a creative studio so wanted a vibrant stylish site with moving images and videos that represented our work, along with keeping the existing text but improving the layout and design.
we requested they send us templates and mock ups of their design ideas so we could approve them. unfortunately we didn't receive a single mock up or template. they proceeded to build the entire site without contacting us once. unsurprisingly we had a lot of issues with what they created for us
the site didn't only feature poor design but videos that dont play. landscape images squeezed into portrait displays, banners that feature a single image that has been chopped into countless pieces, pages that feature the wrong information. images that feature text that doesn't relate to them. i could go on but i wont
. when we asked for the work to be amended to bring it back to our original brief they told us they had to charge us more? when we asked for a refund they told us they where keeping our deposit for the weeks of work they had done. even though we requested they consult with us regarding design ideas and they neglected to. . when we tried to discuss these issues with them over the phone they literally shouted over us and accused us of insulting them because we criticised their work.
We have given this company close to £1000 for a website that is unusable, not only by design but also through its functionality. we have wasted our valuable time with them and are now having to look for a more professional agency to work on our site. i would suggest anyone thinking of using them do the same
