1 star is very generous for this firm

1 star is very generous for this firm. They are aggressively chasing a parking ticket which "wasn't paid" when it actually was paid for and i was back within the time frame. A solicitor witnessed it being paid for as we parked together and went for food. The Landowner who subsequently cancelled the parking companies contract also said to ignore the debt as the machine there is notorious for issues and well known on a local forum. Despite all the evidence DCBL and its legal arm choose to ignore the disputes and didnt even looking into them and reverted to simply push for payment with its standard templates with the simple objective of frustrating the matter and using the court process to scare you into making a payment. However i am happy to go to court and fight people like this. I am also appalled at their conduct and will be looking at options via the SRA as there should be recourse on people who aggressively use the court process for bulk debt recovery while ignoring disputes behind it. You just need to look at on line reviews to really question how a regulator lets people like this behave in the way they do. DCBL and DCB Legal need to have a full investigation. I also did a FOI request for complaints against this firm with local authorities.

Items cancelled

Used Jacamo for the first time in months as they sent a voucher to get me back. the first order i placed when back was paid for and i had email saying its being delivered. then i logged in to track it and both items show as cancelled and on chat there was no explanation. what a waste of time, if its not in stock then don't take the money or let me buy it. An absolute joke , such a shame as they used to be good.

NHBC = A way dodgy new build firms fast…

NHBC = A way dodgy new build firms fast track you into their inferior builds. I will never buy a new build again. Compensation is offered at the lowest possible level. If they had ethics and morals they would refuse to cover certain builders houses to ensure builders meet the correct standards before their victims move in. I followed up claim and their email no longer works (cant even be bothered to forward their claims email) it shows how much they care. Says a lot they haven't claimed their profile. (very angry as water is coming into the bedrooms via the shoddy roof yet again - built by cowboys but dont worry the house has an NHBC warranty yey !

Badly built - Worst Mistake of my life

Badly built and they don't care once you've paid them. 6 years on and still endless problems. The Winchester Special is special indeed. Rain coming in through roof yet again, their tradesman lie about turning up, all they do is refer you to NHBC to correct their inferior builds and basic mistakes and shoddy materials (maybe take ownership of your bad build quality and fix it yourself). I am doing a FOI request on complaints and also reporting them to the BBC - recent article bout new build roofs (and Cowboys that build them). 6 years in and i should have moved out and got my money back, if there is a class action please post in on this site i will keep an eye out.

You can write to the BBC about Bloor homes - google BBC - New-build owners claim roof leaks causing misery and you can submit details to the BBC investigation team

Great app and so far for a year its…

Great app and so far for a year its been really good and useful. However for the first time i wanted to use the DD Guarantee to claim back a disputed payment and its painful (it should be quick and easy). This is the risk when its all online and you cant speak to someone. I have a second bank account for my business and will look to use that more moving forward i think.

Remove Fake and Harmful Reviews quicker!

They are too slow to remove fake reviews and leave fake 5 start reviews unchallenged. Fake and Harmful reviews impact businesses and there is a common theme of competitors attacking peoples businesses and it takes too long to remove them even when a blind man can see they are fake. All reviews should be previewed to the company (if claimed profile) and then they have the chance to challenge them before they hit the public domain.

Slow to respond and rejected claim

After lots of going back and forth Ageas finally agreed i have a policy (i have been paying monthly for 6 years but it took some convincing!). A month after making a claim for storm damage in line with professional advice from a roofer that repaired the damage. The Claim was rejected as wind speed and rain fall were below the threshold. While this may be the case (i am checking options), The insurance proved worthless and all damage has to be covered by me.

Leaking roof everytime it rains

Leaking roof everytime it rains. Very substandard roof installations and faulty chimneys (water soaks through them into the ceiling causing damp and mould). Lots of water damage on bedroom ceilings and a nice happy Christmas from Bloor homes with water coming through the bedroom ceilings Christmas and New Years. They respond to reviews with a generic message and contest all reviews. Maybe actually try contacting us it may help. If anyone is aware of class actions or legal cases please put a review with the information. They will ofcourse flag this and again i will have to upload the NHBC letter to prove its genuine. Do not buy from Bloor Homes it was the biggest mistake i have ever made in my life. Once i have fixed all the issues i am selling up and moving on before something else goes wrong.

This company should be investigated

I had 3 parking charges come through for £100 each (its 50p to park BTW). On each occasion i put cash into the machine and came back within the time frame. I put my reg into the machine each time. My friend that is a Solicitor was with me as well (quite useful!) as we meet up for food once a week and park in the same carpark. Apparently i didn't pay or use the machine (hmmmm i 100% did). As expected my appeal failed. I can see on other reviews that people are accused of not paying when they did. Its also a coincidence they have cameras on the car reg but not of the parking facility (where they would see me walk to the machine and put money in each time). I am speaking with the local Council (funny enough a council member (Ex Mayor) owns the carpark via his Ltd company and instructs the cowboys, not great for the Council or Tories!). I suppose i will see them in court and will be calling the councillor as a witness (good luck with this). The easy way to do it is put a parking gate on the site then its impossible to park if you don't pay (wow but then you would lose all your dodgy income). I will also be making a formal complaint to the Regulator/Ombudsman and provide a copy of all the trust pilot and local reviews of this firm.

Just answer the phone and speak to customers!

I have paid monthly for home insurance for 6 years and for the first time i have called them (There are cheaper people out there who answer the phone). Its so hard to actually speak to someone and my security details (name, address, DOB etc...) didn't match a policy which is quite frankly ridiculous. Online Chat was pretty much a waste of time. On the plus side i have found an alternative provider who is half the price (something positive coming out of the lack of assistance). UPDATE- i have policy in front of me and pay each month but still couldnt access information on the portal or setup a login. If i dont have a policy then why have i paid them for 6 years.

Update 06-11-23 - Thank you for your reply however the i expect the email, number and details on my policy to be correct and for the party i am contacting to assist. the broker details are not on the policy. My letter and renewal is from Ageas Insurance Limited and these are the people i pay. I am not sure why this is so difficult. Can you call me to run through the process as i am simply referring to your own documents. thanks Mark

Leaking roof since day 1

Leaking roof since day 1. i would never buy a bloor home again. Worst decision i ever made. After tradesman saying they turned up and lying because i waited all day for them, I have used my own contractors since then. I had some compensation for the chimney defects which didn't even cover the work and basically gave up with Bloor. I need a new bathroom floor due to bad installation, plumbing and installation and put a temp floor in until i can redo the entire bathroom. Any time there is heavy rain a new leak appears. My next door neighbour fell through their ceiling trying to fix the leaks and my other neighbour currently has scaffolding up (what a great advert for the quality). I will be issuing an invoice to them and asking my solicitor to purse all my contractor costs and fees on top for my time and stress. based on all the other responses i dont expect a favourable response from customer service. My last review was removed despite me providing my email, name , contact number and property details and proof of previous NHBC compensation (what a joke) and still no one had the courtesy to contact me. Besides the roof the snagging list was ignored and i basically convinced to sign it off early and they would come back (what an idiot i was). My entertainment panel has no internet as the cabling was broken under the floor so the entire house has to run on wifi and plenty more issues. If you do buy from Bloors then keep a strict control of snagging lists and do not in any situation sign anything until the work is 100% completed.

I have used them once and found the…

I have used them once and found the process very efficient. The credit overview etc... is very useful and i will look to use them again when needed. The only slight negative is the bombardment of email promotions etc.... But overall very good

Great gym at a great value

Great gym at a great value. A very good range of kit and a very simple signing up process. I would 100% recommend taking a look, The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the constantly out of order Toilet Facilities across a few months. In such a critical time for cleanliness keeping the bathroom in good order should be a high priority.

This is a great way to learn

This is a great way to learn new skills. As a casual learner i find the pick up and put down nature of the learning very good. Its easy to use with all the coding etc... inside their environment so no need to install anything on your laptop. The price was very good as i paid 1 year at a promotional rate. I use this as a friend has this in their business for training staff and i would recommend it for personal development or business development having previously run a BI team.

Unhelpful customer support

I was very disappointed with the customer service and lack of helpfulness. I have only ever spoken with them when renewing products before. I asked this week about additional products and freeing up some equity, and was essentially told speak to a broker as i cannot deal direct. this is fine, but the manner in which is was explained left a lot to be desired. I will of course be using a broker and asking them to move me to a new provider.
