Could have been so much more…
No staff approached me to offer assistance. I had to go to the sales desk to ask for assistance. When I did get "assistance", I had to try draw out information about the bed I was interested in. When I asked if there were any other comparable beds or sales I should also consider I was bluntly told that I had the best deal in my budget range. This may have been true, but I walked out wondering what other options I might have had. I was in a position to stretch my budget, but the sales person didn't seem very enthusiastic about the sale.
I only spent £700, but felt my shopping "experience" was a mild inconvenience to the sales person (a mere notch in the belt).
I also walked out not knowing what options I had (for the "next" visit).
Get me excited about beds, so that I think about about my next bed for the next couple years... that was what I was expecting in terms of a sales interaction.
