This is a scam company

This is a scam company. We tried the miracle manuka cream for our daughters mild eczema and apart from being very solid and wax like making it terribly laborious to apply, it also has a really strong smell that doesn't fade, and most importantly it does nothing for her mild eczema. I cancelled my subscription on the PayPal end, which I was pressured by new age online marketing methods into taking out in the first place, but after cancelling it they still kept charging the monthly amount of $100 for 2 small tubs of their snake oil. So then I tried to manage my subscription via the Svens Island website, following their own instructions, but the link to 'manage my subscription' is a false link - it isn't actually a link at all, nothing happens when you click on it. So I'm now in the process of making a report via PayPal. Hopefully I can get the money back that they stole from me. My strong advice is to avoid this company at all costs!!

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand why you’re upset — especially when it involves your child, ongoing charges, and difficulty cancelling. That’s understandably frustrating.

A few important clarifications for anyone reading:

• Product texture & scent — Our Miracle Manuka balm is firm by design due to its natural beeswax base, and it contains concentrated Mānuka and Kānuka leaf oils, which have a strong herbal scent. We recognise this isn’t suitable for everyone, and if a product doesn’t feel right on the skin, it should be discontinued.
• Skin response — While many families see improvement, no skincare product works for every child or every skin type. If irritation or no benefit is seen, stopping use is always the correct step.
• Subscriptions — Subscriptions are completely optional, clearly labelled at checkout, and can be cancelled at any time. We do not lock customers into subscriptions or make them intentionally difficult to manage. If you experienced a technical issue with the subscription portal or cancellation link, we sincerely apologise — that’s not acceptable and not how our system is intended to work.
• Billing concerns — We absolutely do not support unauthorised charges. Any customer who contacts us about unwanted subscription charges is eligible for a full refund under our 60-day money-back guarantee, regardless of product outcome.

We take accusations of being a “scam” very seriously. Svens Island is a New Zealand-made brand that has helped tens of thousands of families over several years, and we operate with full transparency, customer support, and consumer protections in place.

If this hasn’t already been resolved, we encourage you to contact our support team directly so we can review the subscription issue and ensure any charges are properly refunded. We genuinely wish this experience had been handled better for you.

Good customer service

Daniel made my experience great. I called up re Origin broadband service. Was having a few issues since coming over from iinet. Daniel was efficient, clear, and very knowledgeable. He's the best customer service / technical representative I've had in a long time, possible ever. Based on my experience with him I'd reccomend Origin internet services.

Illegal false advertising

I was tricked into buying 2 of their "Broderick solid wood table lamps" based on blatantly false advertising. If they were an Australian company what they did to me and are still doing to other customers would be illegal. I bought the 2 Broderick lamps purely because they're advertised on the Cozymatic website as an easy touch operation. The description says "with the touch of a button" and the display video clearly shows a hand gently touching the top of the lamp to operate it. Due to the location of our power points and the style of our bed-head we can't use a lamp that's on a trailing lead with in-line switch half way between the lamp and the power point. But that's exactly what arrived in the mail, over 3 months after making the purchase. Not only was it the slowest delivery of an order I've ever heard of, but the products provided were completely different from those advertised. Even the look is different - in the description and video it shows the top of the dome (where the switch was meant to be), as a sleek looking button the same colour as the dome / diffuser itself. However, what I was provided with is a cheap looking brass nut I had to assemble on the top of the pink and grey domes of my respective lamps. The company's robots (definitely not real people), denied their product was different from what was advertised. Then after hours and hours of stressfully and painfully proving my blindingly obvious point, they finally admitted they were in the wrong, and instead of offering my money back they offered me 5%. It was worse than insulting. It was the salt in the wound of their utterly abhorrent business practices. If I wanted my money back I was told I'd have to pay the very expensive shipping myself, and even then there's no way I could trust this company that they'd actually refund me, after all the lying they did via email over an extended period. We can't use the lamps because they have such a short lead and the switches are half way to the power point, so they (switches) sit right down and behind our bed in an inaccessible location, but I kept the lamps just so that Cozymatic couldn't steal from me, or lie to me again. My only advice would be to avoid this company at all costs. I know corruption is part of daily life in most Asian countries, but to the companies based there such as Cozymatic - that's no excuse for lying and stealing from unsuspecting customers from different countries such as Australia, where we can't defend ourselves in any way using our own countries' consumer protections. Spread the word: Cozymatic are a bunch of lying robotic thieves from overseas.
